Is there any way I can message non iphone etc users without going to my phone which will message anyone?
Help. When sending messages on my ipad, I always have to send non iOS users from my phone as a SMS . Frustrating! They are in my contacts but I guess only for email. Any way around this feature on my ipad?
Note, that the texting Apps mentioned above will issue a different phone number to you from whcih your messages will be delivered to your Non Apple recipients. And they in turn will have to sms you to this different number for you to recieve SMS's on your iPad.
In short its more complex to try to SMS through an iPad that you would think.

The phone will automatically re-appear when it connects to the Internet. However, don't get your hopes up, as thieves know this & will make sure your phone never re-connects so you can locate it.

Yes, there are cables in the Apple Store that will send video to an external screen, but it depends on the app....3rd party apps may need to be written to allow video out...some mirror the iPhone screen and some only use the external - it depends on how the app works, etc.

Thank you for any help(I think the daughter got he better end of the deal!) I believe if you change the password and user id one of the devices it will stop that from occurring. But I'm not the one to tell you how to do it; someone like "Illaass" (Illaass seems to know how to correct / fix almost anything!) will know how if you don't. Just look for the "cat" icon.

My huband is going to be so ****** if I have to uninstall and reinstall itunes. PLEASE HELP ME! If he loses his playlists or any other information it will be devastating... he has a radio show!
When I try to open itunes it says that it won't open woithout Apple Application Support and says I need to uninstall and reinstall itunes. 2 things I'm afraid will happen.
1. He doesn't want to update to the latest itunes because all his friends told him not to because the newest version *****.
2. He might lose all his playlists and also even if he doesn't los his itunes library he might lose data and information about all the songs.
I just really need to open itunes WITHOUT uninstallign and reinstalling it. Is there ANY way I can do that?I also googled this question. Someone said if I download quicktime it comes with apple application support. Does that solve my problem?

I guess no but they can't use it because most likely they restored it and the name of your find my iphone will disappear on your computer even if it is on because it does not have your name anymore.

Is there any way to get iCloud sync (iPhone + 2 Macs) without wi-fi?
We have two Macs (MacBook Pro, iMac) and one iPhone 4; OSs up-to-date (Lion, iOS5). Our only routine access to the internet is via the mobile phone 3G network for the iPhone, and via a 3G USB stick/dongle for the Macs, also using the mobile phone network. We do NOT have access to the internet via a local wi-fi link to a router (whether ADSL or cable). This is in Melbourne, Australia, btw.
Question: is there any way at all that we can get syncing of contacts and calendars for all three devices? - preferably automatic, ideally real-time whenever a device could see the internet. With syncing set, there seem to be some random updates (and duplication) between devices, but it seems that normally syncing is enabled only when the device sees the internet via a local wi-fi link to a router, and that's what we don't have. (We can't trundle the iMac to an internet cafe either!)
Understood that a local sync would be possible via iTunes for one of the two computers and the iPhone, provided they could see each other wirelessly - but there's a second computer...

I thought I had established by searching forums that iCloud sync routinely requires wi-fi. I can see from Apple documentation that backup does; and that Documents and Data (in iOS) has a switch to permit/deny syncing using a cellular network. What I have not found is a one-stop-shop on the Apple site that says which iCloud facilities are supposed to work with cellular/3G networks and which not. Can you point us to such a list?
Regarding our own problem: the missing link appears to be the download of new entries from the cloud to either of the Macs, the Mac being connected to the internet via 3G. For example a new calendar appointment entered on the Mac duly appears on the iPhone; but a new appointment entered on the iPhone fails to appear on the Mac. (If it is re-entered on the Mac, it gets duplicated on the iPhone.) Checking the iCloud website show that a new iPhone appointment is getting as far as the cloud; but apparently no further.
I think you'll agree that this makes iCloud calendar syncing next to useless.
This may not (as you imply) be caused by the use of the 3G connection. However in the two households in our family we have one with wi-fi and essentially the same setup, except that the iPhone is a 3GS. In the wi-fi setup, a new appointment entered on the iPhone calendar promptly shows up on a Mac.
If the sync problem has nothing to do with the mode of internet connection, how might it be cured? -
I duplicated all my pictures. Is there any way to delete the duplicates without deleting them one at a time. I now have 44,000 pictures and have 22,000 duplicates
Easiest solution: restore from your back up.
Other than that: For dealing with duplicates in iPhoto check out Duplicate Annihilator or Decloner
