Is there any way to automate a asterisked note?

I would like to create an automated style that adds an asterisk to the left of each note added that would increment by one each time I hit the return. I would think there might be some way of doing this with bullets, but am not certain. The following is an example of the text that I'm working with:
"* Pilot or passenger center-of-gravity on adjustable seats positioned for average occupant. Numbers in parentheses indicate forward and aft limits of occupant center-of-gravity range.
** Arms measured to the center of the areas shown.
*** Third Note
**** Fourth Note"

Create multiple paragraph styles (eg, One Asterisk, Two Asterisks, Three Asterisks) and set up the "next style" relationships so that the correct style is applied when you press enter (eg, Two Asterisks applied after One Asterisk). Then, in the bullets and numbering dialogue, select bullets and an asterisk for the first style. For the second, add another asterisk in the "text after" field, and add two asterisks in the field for the third style. And so on.

If you want to delete old data automatically, I think you need develop this feature by yourself. You could code the logic methods on your project, and set a timer to execute the methods to delete old data. ), you could operate table storage data using azure sdk or REST API.

Is there any way to automatically update not on cellular but on wifi like on android? I am wanting to leave update automatically on but not cellular for updates but I need cellular for iTunes match. It seams that there is no choice for wifi when available. I went through a ton of data with app updates on cellular.

You would need to have enabled iCloud on your MBP. Your question indicated you did not.
Its serial number is useful for establishing ownership should the MBP be recovered. File a police report.

Is there any way to automatically refresh multi-cam target output

I have created a multi-cam output using footages from 3 HD video cameras.
After finished the work, I had to color correct some of the original footages many times. Everytime, I had to go through the entire process of
- Loading the color-corrected footages/sequences
- finding the sync point and synching them
- creating target sequence and creating the output using the multi-cam monitor window (finished clip runs for 45 mts)
Is there any way I can instruct Premiere Pro (CS4) to refresh the final multi-cam output from the updated versions of source clips. In fact, I do keep the same sequence names for the source clips.
Alternatively, is there anyways to re-apply the sequence of how I captured multi-cam footage in the multi-cam monitor (from 3 cameras) to the newly color corrected, synched target sequence.
I am not sure whether I am making it clear myself.
My hope is someone would have faced this problem before and understand what I mean.

Thanks for your quick response. I already tried that - it didn't work for me.
My original clip is part of a premiere project where I copied the clip as another video clip of same length as the original. Then I applied 'multiply' blend mode to the video 2 to correct the over exposure. I did similar to the other 2 video footage as well.
Then I pulled all three premiere projects in to another project where I did my multi-cam work.
After my cut, if I go back and make changes to any of the underlying projects(sequences) - it doesn't get reflected on the multi-cam cut.

Is there any way by which I can not use Thunar Sys Tray icon?

I am using stalonetray in OpenBox in Arch and when I copy-paste or cut-paste files in Thunar, a sys tray icon pops up. I don't want it to pop up.
Is there any way by which I can make it to not pop up?

Are you sure this isn't some other tool, like a clipboard manager? Are their any tooltip popups or menus available on the tray icon and/or what happens when you click the icon?
No. I use only Thunar. When I hover on the icon it says that "1 file operation running" when a copy-paste or cut-paste operation happens and when I left click and right click on it, it shows the copying window of thunar. The icon shows two small yellow folders placed diagonally. It's the same icon that appears on the file operation progress window of Thunar. I don't know whether Numix has anything to do with the specific icon though.

Is there any way for play/stop to NOT apply to the metronome? [mainstage 2]

I have EXS24 samplers triggered by drum pads, but like to be able to set one pad to [Play/Stop] so I can stop the samples on the fly. (in case I make a mistake or something) Problem is, I want to send the metronome to my drummer (via a different output on my interface) but I DON'T want [Play/Stop] to stop the click. Is there any way to get better control of the metronome? Does anyone with mainstage 3 know if this is an option? Can I re-wire it with logic 9 and run a click out of logic? Can't seem to get mainstage and logic to work together... Just need my click to run independently.

What you may try is to replicate your base map but take the point theme out of its definition. Then create a second tile layer for the new base map. You can add both tile layers to the client (but set only one of them to be visible). Then simply switch the tile layers' visibility on/off based on user turning on/off the point theme. The built-in Oracle Maps tutorial #22 (Multiple Base maps) has some sample code you might be able to re-use.

Is there any way to publish the .SWF(not MP4) from Captivate 7 while creating a Video Demo project?

Hello all,
I am upgradiing to Adobe Captivate 7. The previous version I used was Captivate 4.
I found a new feature (Video demo) in the latest Captivate 7 which generates an MP4 video output when the project is published. The feature records exactly the way I want.
Unfortunately, MP4 video does not help me. I require an SWF file to place in my LMS.
Is there any way to get an SWF output using the same(Video Demo) feature?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there,
It is possible to publish a video demo project as .swf by adding the video demo slide in a blank project.
1. Create a blank project, select the desired Project size.
2. From the Blank project, click on 'Insert>Recording Slide' menu option.
3. Press 'Ok' to the button.
4. Click on the 'Video Demo' option from the recording dialog.
5. Perform recording
6. Once you are done with recording, delete the first blank slide present in the project
7. Click on Publish, select the 'SWF output' option.

Is there any way to automate converting just sln files from VS2008 to VS2013 ?

My general problem is that we have a large number (approaching 300) of "local" sln files that have not been converted from VS2008 to VS2013 although their underlying vcproj files have (so they are now really vcxproj / vcxproj.filters pairs).
This happened because these projects were converted along with "global" sln files that also contain these projects and are in fact used to build product. The "local" sln files are more geared toward development, so the idea has
been to upgrade them over time as they need to be worked with in VS, which is still an option. It should also be noted that these "local" upgrades must be done so that they do not redo the vcxproj files in any way or needed adaptations get
zapped and must be redone by hand.
So ... does anyone have a suggestion how to automate the conversion of these remaining sln files
without affecting the connected proj files? devenv /upgrade does not seem to have the ability to leave the proj files alone unless I am misreading.

these files can be created in VS2013.
Since the VS2008 is really old version, and generally we open an old project with the closed VS version, for example, I sugegst you could check whether you could open all files in VS2010, and then test it with VS2013.
In addition, I suggest you can try to open the your project solution using File | Open Project... and then pass the path to the solution project file check this issue again.
I find a similar thread about how to convert project from old version VS to VS2013, you can try the jsck's suggestion to check your issue.

Is there any way to get back a note you had if its been deleted?

I have been keeping a journal of my little boy's everyday changes since the day he was born under the notes app. Recently I was typing and hit the trash button. It is gone. Is there any possible way to get it back? 20 months of memories :-(

Here's the story. I got a new iphone for Christmas, set it all up (had everything transfer over from the last backup) so then I deleted all my messages and notes from my old phone to give to my mom. Well I decided not to keep the new phone so wiped it out and sent it back. Well since then my computer needed to be formatted so I'm guessing my backup is totally gone? Does apple maybe keep a copy of it? Is there another way to get it back off (or on) my phone? Thanks.

Is there any way to automatically sync my macbook to my imac?

I suspect there should be an easy answer to this. My wife and I have separate accounts on our iMac. The iMac is automatically backing up to a 1Tb external drive via Time Machine.
My wife also uses a Macbook for school and work and would like a good backup method.WE don't really want to have another external drive.
I would assume that we could sync the Macbook in some way with her account on the iMac, which is already being backed up.
Or am I just being clueless and there's an easier way that I'm not seeing? Thanks for any suggestions!

Those of us who own both a desktop and notebook have been struggling with this for years. The short answer is that there is no automatic way to sync two computers. Apple's MobileMe does make some syncing easy. It can be configured to sync email, Safari bookmarks, iCal appointments & tasks, contacts, dock items, keychains, mail rules and signatures, dashboard widgets, notes, and preferences. Also, there are some programs that use Apple's sync services to sync data including Yojimbo and MacJournal.
But to sync your word processing documents, music, movies, pictures and other data you'll need to invest in a program. There are lots of options. I use a program called ChronoSync to keep the Documents and Pictures folders of my two computers in sync. My wife uses a program/service called DropBox - DropBox may be your solution.
