Is there any way to bypass or reset the passcode?

My child has entered a passcode into my IPod and did not for some reason retain that info....Any way to get around this??

Connect it to the computer/iTunes library you normally sync it with and restore it. If iTunes asks you for the passcode, place the iPod in recovery mode instead to bypass it.

I assume that you don't have the installation discs, so:
1. Reboot
2. Hold command + s key down after you hear the chime.
3. When you get a text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account (hitting return after each line):
(Type these commands very carefully)
mount -uw /
rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
shutdown -h now
4. You will go through the setup process again, create a new admin account, login to it and then change your existing account password or whatever else you need to do. You can delete the account you made in this process, or not.

Try deleting your last backup by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, swipe across your backup and tap Delete, then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on again. If it still won't back up, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again. If it succeeds, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is preventing the backup and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again. If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again. If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails. Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.

IF you had icloud backups and Camera Roll turned on in Settings on the wet phone, then you can restore that backup to an iOS device, but not a computer.

Once you get a replacement phone...
Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your device. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

If you haven't already, restart the ipad by holding home and power for ten seconds until the apple appears.
There may be an app that is draining the battery.
Try the following:
1) Kill all apps by double-tapping the home button, then holding any app's icon until it displays the ' - ' symbol. Touch the ' - ' symbol on all apps. This stops the app.
2) Go to airplane mode to turn off wifi and 3G, if so equipped.
3) recheck the battery life by using an offline-only app, like a game, for an hour or so and see if the battery seems to last longer than before.
Typical battery life is a drain of 10% per hour. Your mileage may vary.
If the battery is lasting longer, you need to isolate what is causing the drain.
4) If still rapidly draining, try going to Settings, General, Reset, reset all settings.
5) If none of this gave you any change in the battery life, you may want to do a restore of the ipad from within itunes.

My Ipod touch is set to manually manage music. I have put music from my computer and iTunes account onto it, and music from other people's computer and iTunes accounts on it. Unfortunately I dropped my iPod and the screen cracked. It still plays music and everything just fine, but it has problems with it's battery life so I'd like to just get a completely new iPod nano. From what I can tell it won't let me sync any of the music on my iPod touch that is from other people's computers onto my laptop, and so I wouldn't be able to put it on a new iPod nano. It's not designed to work like this. When you sync, the iPod stores some information that basically says 'this iPod belongs to computer xyz'. Apple did this to prevent copyright issues (syncing someone else's music).
If you really want to do this, you'll have to at least tie both iTunes installations to the same account. Maybe have them sync with each other.

Is there any way to make copies of the maser image in LR3?
I do a lot of sports and dance photography and I need a way to make multiple copies of an image to drag into different folders in LR3.
Example: One dancer may be on several teams and I need to make copies of the team photos to put in each dancers folder before I upload them to my E Commerce site so each dancer see's their team photo with their individual photos in the same folder online.
I know I can make virtual copies, but you cannot drag them to different folders as copies, it will move the virtual with the master.
If they would just let us hold ALT or any key while dragging to "copy" instead of "move", my problem would be solved.
For now I have to go into Windows, make copies ,then synch the folders again. Pain in the rear to do that.
Anyone have any experience here?

I too need to make "Real Copies" of images and hate doing anything directly from the OS because of the chance that my LR catalog gets out of Sync with the actual images on the computer. So I make the copies inside LR with an export routine and then move the copies inside of LR with the normal drag and drop. Once the export preset is created it can be executed from the Library Grid by right-clicking on the image (or selected images) to make the copies. My settings are as follows in case you are interested:

Somewhere away back when I heard that by knowing the serial number the details of the service record on the given mac could be found. However in those days I only bought new. These days with mac's inability to run applications that require the for real OS 9 ( not classic ) I have to scour the used market. I have some high end audio midi programmes ( for example emagic, cubase VST score ) that do the job and sometimes better then then the OS X versions.
