Is there any way to completely delete my account?

I want to delete my account so I can start all over. Can someone tell me how to do that? I'm gettting frusterated and I'm about to throw my computer across the room. I'd really appreciate it.

Yo can log out of your account via Store > Sign Out on your computer's iTunes but you can't delete an account, all you can do is remove any personal info from it and stop using it. But if you bought/downloaded any content with it then that content will remain tied to it, so only that account will be able to authorise it on a new computer and redownload it.

Connect the iOS device to your computer and restore via iTunes. Place the iPod in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.

  • HT201250 is there any way to retrieve deleted time machine backups?

is there any way to retrieve deleted time machine backups? it has now deleted the oldest, but most important backup. It was made right before before upgrading to mountain lion. Because I had some issues with placing the files back the way I wanted, I had to connect my hard drive to my mac several times. Result, everytime I did so, a backup was made. Like today, when I was transferring everything from that specific backup. But in the meantime Time Machine made a new backup, deleting the old one I was using.  Ironically, I lost everything while I was transferring the files back to my mac. Please give me good news.

Once the external hard drive that you use for Time machine deleted its oldest backup and overwrote it, the ability to retrieve those files disappeared.  They are gone for good.
    Hope this helps

is there any way to retrieve deleted texts messages on KIN TWO M?

Unfortunately, no, not unless you had them backed up somewhere (like with bitpim software).  Once the texts are deleted from the phone, they're gone.

  • Is there any way to mass delete duplicated files?

I just transferred all of my brother's music from his full laptop onto my desktop.
Unfortunately, since his girlfriend had her own library, and since none of us were careful to keep track of where the files were kept, I now have several hundred songs that have been duplicated twice or even three or four times on a single library.
Is there any way to mass delete all the duplicated songs, so I only have one of each track?

Have a look at Teridon's iTunes Scripts there's a script in there for dealing with duplicates: Teridon's iTunes for Windows Scripts

With Snow Leopard if you delete a file (put it the trash) and then do a secure delete it's gone.
The OP is adressing SSD's in particular. Neither Snow Leopard nor Lion have the ability to secure erase an SSD of a single file by user action. This because SSD's write data in pages, but can only delete in blocks. Secure emptying of the trash on an SSD is no different than a non-secure erase, as the controller will not permit erasure of blocks until the entire block is freed, which is almost never the case with even group file deletion. Erasure is simply the re-writing of the "allocation table" that the pages are no longer in use.
SSD's are only rendered "erased" of previous data after an indeterminate period of use, and re-use that would eventually free blocks for re-write, and then actually over-written.
TRIM helps speed this process, but does not alleviate the block versus page issue.
    Some additional info.

Stellar Wipe Mac is a wiping software that wiper a hard drive beyond the scope of recovery. You can select from the software which drive to wipe leaving the OS X intact. Else, if the drive is a single partition then no software will be able to wipe without wiping the OS X. So be careful.

  • Is there any way I can merge two accounts on my macbook?

I have two accounts on my macbook (version 10.6.8), one that i created when i got the laptop and one i created a few years after because i couldn't remember my old password(which i know now). Is there any way to merge the two accounts into one? (itunes, iphoto, apps, etc.)

Office for Mac or Office 365. I use it on my Mac and although not as polished or feature rich as the Windows version, serves my purpose perfectly. I also regularly switch between Windows at work and Mac editing the same document so cross-compatibility has been fine too: http://www.microsoft.com/uk/mac
You could always try Open Office which is free: http://www.openoffice.org/porting/mac/
