In case you're want to use an old AIM screen name you've not been using for a while I think it is better to just refresh your complete buddy list by sending your contacts an email with your new screen name and have them update this in their data base.
Ask them to respond with their recent contact info and add their active screen name to your buddy list. Every now and then this can be very useful cause contact info tends to change when people move, get a new job or switch to another computer.
Free Aim screen names that have been inactive for a certain period will become invalid, understandable because their database needs to be up to date as well.

Is there any way to save all your addressbook contacts to gmail?

I need to send all my contacts to my work phone which is an android HTC EVO with sprint id like to be able to sign into my gmail account on the android and access all my iphone contacts. If that is completely impossible I would be fine with a syncing option. I have the mac noteboook if there is anyway to save iphone contacts to the computer then transfer them to my android. I have been searching the intrenet but have not found a simple way to do this. My biggest concern is that I do not have to do this all manually . If you know of any good back up apps or any advice please let me know.

Is there any way to get into your ipod through itunes and be able to unlock it with your passcode?

I dropped my ipod and now the bottom half of my screen isnt working too well and I can't get my lock to slide over to the right to try and type in my passcode, so I was wondering if there was a way to unlock my ipod from itunes and be able to take the passcode off so it is easier for me to get into my ipod. Restore, if iTunes will let you. Everything except the password will be restored. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. Be forewarned that it takes a long time. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

We are getting message from XI using inbound proxy and sending response asynchronously by outbound proxy.
my question: " is there any way to copy or to move incoming proxy fields to ABAP backend fields?"
for ex: we are getting Name structure from proxy wit fields firstname and lastname.
and proxy will generate some structures for name. backend ABAP system will have structure name with two fields having fname and lname as data elements.
so how can we directly move proxy fields to ABAP fields? ( here in example there are only two fields but real scenario we will have thousands of fields for which we cannot map manually from proxy fields to ABAP fields.)
please help me in this regard.

if you have control over the proxy:
Create your interface at XI like the structure in backend system. Same structure and same fieldnames. If you regenerate your proxy you can use abap order "MOVE CORRESPONDING" to map all fields.

Apple does not transfer content bought with one Apple ID to another Apple ID. Apple will not merge two Apple IDs.
If most of your content was bought with the Yahoo! Apple ID but you now want the Gmail address for your Apple ID, the trick will be to change the address used for the Yahoo ID with the Gmail address. However, to do that you must first free the Gmail address from that other Apple ID. Use the instructions from Apple to substitute another address that is not used as an Apple ID for your Gmail address in the Apple ID with the Gmail address. Then, when the Gmail address is no longer used in an Apple ID, you can use the same instructions to substitute the Gmail address for the Yahoo address in the Apple ID with the Yahoo address.

Is there any way to edit all the transitions in a project at the same time?

I chose "insert with transition" when adding clips to my timeline, but the default is set for one second, which is longer than I'd like. I know how to change the duration of each transition one at a time, but is there any way to select all the transitions (there's about 90 of them) and adjust the duration for all of them at the same time?
That's my main question, but I also would like to change the default cross-dissolve transition to be 15 frames instead of 30 for future projects. Anybody know if I can do that? I know I can create a 15 frame cross-dissolve and make it a "favorite", but it seems it would just be easier to change the default one instead.

I have been making a route for my next mountaineering trip using the red pins on the map app! i have like 20 bookmarks. I could see all the bookmarks at once and it was so nice. but after I searched another place all the bookmarks dissapeared. now i can see only one of the bookmarks at a time! is there any way to see all of them together again ?! please someone help I put so much affort to find the correct route...

The best workaround I'm aware of comes courtesy of BMan1854: Create a Smart Playlist that will Match the following rule: Date Added is after 01/01/2001 (or whatever the day before the day that you first started your iTunes Library is). That playlist will show your entire library.
Or is there a way so that when I add new podcasts it will get rid of the old ones automatically?
Have you gone to the iTunes Edit menu > Preferences > Podcasts tab and checked out the various options listed in the Keep drop-down menu.

I am developing a ADF application, i want to know if my UI project has consumed a number of other UI (ADF Lib) jars. Is there a way to see all the available taskflows to use in my application which is there due to the imported jars.
To Iterate my question, I have a Ui project say AUI and it has imported BUI and CUI but using only one taskflow from BUI.jar, while BUI and CUI has some more taskflows which I have not used but is there any way to see all of them.

Hi there,
One thing is to have access to a repository of libraries containing taskflows that you may use within an specific project. Once you import this library into the project usually depending on how you did it, it means that you are using it at some level. In my opinion the best way it to create a connection to your repository and see all the libraries and choose the available taskflows that you might want to include. Instead of searching from the inside out (where is a library used at?) You could always find usages and validate where things are coming from.
Also in future releases we are working on visually displaying those mapping between elements.

You can, but only the purchases that were made from the iTunes Store. Other content that was imported from a CD or other sources will not transfer over.

Chris, I certainly don't mind additional questions and postings.
I believe there are many issues with Apple Loops and Logic that need to be resolved and people need to be aware of that. Unfortunately, in opposite to the old "german" version of Logic , there's no lifetime tech support, you can't even call and ask the question after 60 days , which isn't right for a professional software of this level, especially considering the fact that many things still remain vague in Logic even for developers and tech support people!( believe me, I've called and asked!)
Issues like that need to be resolved over the phone with the company, period!
One thing I also learned over the years as a Mac OSX user, if something doesn't work, don't mess with it. Delete your drive and re-install everything. This is very frustrating , I know, but unfortunately this is the only way to deal with OSX issues, if you got a problem with your system, don't try to fix it. It's never gonna be the same again. I know , it's off the topic a little bit, but if your content is missing from the system files, before installing your new Logic, back up your important files, wipe up your drive and clean install Mac OSX , run updates and then install the Logic. Most likely , everything will be in it's place, at least 90% or more. I gave up trying to make two system in my house to be compatible 100% , but it's OK if they're 90% or more identical. I spent enormous amount of time trying to find out what's missing and where, I visited most of the forums and there's no clean answer.

Why are you changing your ID?
iTunes/app purchases are locked to the account that purchased them. For some actions like updating apps you have to sign into the account that purchased them. Just changing the ID does not not delete any media from the iPod.
When you delete the iCloud account for the iPod should should be offered the option to leave contacts on the iPod. See:
