Is there any way to delete calendars by years without deleting the entire calendar?

I have too many years in my iCal application. Is there any way I can have it just show the past 5 years? Or can I delete years before 2008, for example? I have made a backup of my iCal file so I'm ready for that great solution from the community!
I see other posts in the community about deleting data but they are from 2005 and 2007 and don't apply to Lion OS and this newest version of iCal - or at least I can't find the features they're referring to to help delete old data.

Hi,
In iCal's calendar list make sure only the calendars you want to delete from are checked.
In iCal's search field put a single quote ('). The search result showing all events will appear.
Make sure the search results are sorted by date.
Click the first event you want deleted.
Scroll down and Shift-Click the last one.
Press the delete button.
I don't know whty the single quote is needed oin the search.

You can remove the assembly tree by doing a roundtrip in 3D Toolkit, here's how:
- start Acrobat 3D
- drag & drop a CAD file
- click on 3D Annot to activate
- right-click on 3D
- select 'Edit in 3D Toolkit'
- 3D Toolkit launches
- click in 'Scene Tree' panel
- right-click on top assembly name
- select 'Tools->Collapse Hierarchy'
- select 'File->Save'
- select 'File->Exit'

No, there isn't. The amount of storage on an iPhone is fixed and cannot be increased. Your only options are to either delete stuff or purchase an iPhone with larger capacity.

Assistive Touch, tap Settings App > General > Accessibiltiy > Assistive Touch > ON > tap new white screen button > Device > Lock Screen. If you touch and hold Lock Screen you will get the "slide to power off". This will turn OFF iphone. To turn iPhone ON, connect with USB cable to power, charger or USB of computer.

The serial number will do nothing to help you find it.
If you failed to set up find my ipod, then there is no way to track it.

Any machine that has a ethernet port can go wireless. It may be cheap to buy another computer.

It sounds like you have a hacked/unofficially unlocked iphone. When you update, it will indeed lock it back, as it should.
The ONLY place that can legitimately unlock an iphone is the carrier to which they are locked and no U.S. carrier does this.

Only if you installed "Find my iPhone" prior to the loss, you could be able to log into iCloud and track or remotely erase your device. If you did not install and activate your account in iCloud, there is no other way to do that.

if you are not on ios 6, then all you can do is wait. if you have deleted the address from your contact list, then it will live on for a while in your 'recently used' addresses. as you use new addresses, those older ones fall down the list, and eventually fall off altogether (unless you use them again). Have patience, it will go away.

Only if you have an iPhone backup from the time before you deleted the app. App data and settings are part of the backup, but iTunes replaces the existing backup with a new one when you sync. Only backups used to restore the phone will not be replaced and marked with a time stamp.
If you included the iphone backup folder into your computer backup routine, you could restore the folder and use the iphone backup to restore your phone. But all data will be set back to theat point in time when the backup was taken.

If the system just Restarted on it's own, Shut down while you were working on something then started back up all those changes, edits, you had done in that app, document, are gone.

If you've emptied the trash, ehtn no. However if you have a backup, like Time Machine, or a recent backup copy of your photo library you could recover the photos from the trash.
The answer to getting a snapshot form iMovie depends on what version you have.
I should add it technically may be possible to recover the emptied trash, but if you really want to do that you would need to download a utility software that can attempt to recover deleted files. Do it soon before you start writing more data to that disk. At the moment I don't have a recommendation for such a program. Maybe someone else out there will offer suggestion.

Rush over to their house or wherever they are, grab their phone & delete it. That's the only way you have a chance of stoping them from seeing it.
