Is there any way to disable preview-icons & fileinfo for connected drives?
i.e. when i'm connecting to SMB share, and i see .mp4 file, i see icon change to video-frame.
and when i see folder, i see "5 items"
and i wanna disable it per-dir or per-connect.

The dispatcher caches the entire HTTP response body, so doing what you are describing actually requires two steps:
1) Loading the non-cacheable component through Ajax (or some other edge side assembly technology like ESI)
2) Including the Dispatcher: no-cache header in the response when that component is requested.
#1 is pretty easy to do with jQuery

You will probably want to use the WCMMode to only do the dynamic loading on the publish server.

It's very frustrating when I hit the delete key and iCloud automatically erases the selected email message. I receive some HTML formatted emails that include a text box that I can utilize to directly reply to something. If I don't make any mistakes at all, I can utilize this box and post a reply. But if I mess up and need to delete text, instead of deleting text iCloud deletes the email message. Is there any way to disable this?

I don't believe it's possible to disable the delete key, but could be wrong. However, if you delete an email in error, you can restore it by pressing cmd + Z to undo the deletion.

Hai every body....My problem is..
I had created 60 users granting them connect and resource privileges in oracle(8.1.5.0.0).All of the users are working under their logins(users)...Every thing is going fine...But now i wanted to disable the objects owned by those users
(60 Users) for a period of 2 days,After that i wanted to enable them....Is there any way to disable the objects owned by them with out dropping the users?(The users should be able to work as prevoiusly on the new objects they will create after i disabled the objetcts owned by them previously)?

if my understanding is right you want to disable the users for 2 days for any reason let say he is on holiday for 2 days then why dont u lock this user and submit the job for unlock after two days.

The thing is: I love AIR, hate spark, loved the 2006 pre-spark functionality. It is so much more convenient and user friendly. Given the choice between having the display seperate from the processing, or having it be convenient and easy to work with, I choose the later option.
For the most part it seems like the AIR api is like a layer on top of the spark - flex system.. I would like to be able to over lay the same AIR functionality on top of the the old system....

Auto correct is making me look like an idiot. I have to go back and psychically spell check my documents now. Is there any way to disable it?

Auto correct on my desktop Mac is making me look like an idiot. After I type it's changing words into other words I never typed and it even pushes words together that I'd typed a space in between in order to create new words that I never typed which make absolutley no sense.
Now after I type a document I have to go back and psychically spell check my entire document the old fashioned way to make sure auto-correct isn't making me look like a clown who can't spell.
Is there any way to disable "auto correct" on the desktop MAC and still keep spell check running?
The amount of messages I've sent out with horribly misspselled words or errrors as a result is maddening.

Running OSX 10.9.1

I had turned off auto-correct in the keyboard preferences, but in Mail all my spelling and grammer choices were grayed out. The key for me — as Kingoftypos points out — was "For Mail, open a new message/reply/forward. Then go to the Edit menu and scroll down to the Spelling/Grammar."
It would never have occurred to me to open a new message to be able to change the settings.

I have an S5 Active and sometimes the home button sticks and registers as a long press which brings up Firefox search instead of going to the home screen. Is there any way to disable Firefox Search so that this doesn't happen. I Love the Firefox browser but if this keeps happening I will have to uninstall it.

In Finder, just drag the divider bar further to the right while holding down the option key to see the full label (using the 'option' key will make the width preference stick).
On the desktop icon, hold down 'contro'l and click on the icon. Choose 'Show view options' then make the grid spacing larger.

charging by usb isn't a problem , modern batteries do not suffer 'memory effect' just do what you want to do and don't worry about it . My N97 is connected to laptop most nights for anything from 10 minutes to an hour , no battery problem in 18 months and left on charge overnight every night . Since I never scroll by dragging the scroll bars with the cursor, I find the expansion of the scroll bars to be a distracting and even productivity limiting feature. Is there any way to disable the expansion of the scroll bars (perhaps with a terminal command)? System Preferences doesn't have an option to switch this feature off as far as I'm concerned.

This might go into too much detail but I suspect since you're referring to a basic system function you're going to have to address this at a pretty basic level in the system operations which isn't always easy without major hacks.

Go to the settings menu and find the accessibility options. You can turn off the VoiceOver feature.
Odd though as that is off by default.
