Is there any way to get my photos back after a restore in iTunes?

Today I plugged my iPod Touch into my computer to put all of the latest photos of my son onto my PC & I must have accidentally hit the restore button.  The darn thing restored to the January settings on my iPod & I lost all of the last month's worth of photos of my son.  Is there any way to get them back?

If you didn't create a back up, then it cannot be retrieved.

That depends on whether you have it backed up somewhere.

is there any way to get your pictures back after updating to maverick?

Is Aperture not launching at all? Then update Aperture like Ernie recommended. You'll need version 3.5.1, or 3.4.5 with Mavericks. If you have any Aperture 3 version, you should be able to update for free.
After updating Aperture, make sure you have a backup copy of your Aperture library, before opening it in the new version.  Click the Aperture library, to open Aperture on your library.
Or, is the problem, that Aperture opened on an empty library? Then check the file system on the drive with your Aperture library. It may have the wrong formatting. Then move your Aperture library to a drive formatted MacOS Extended (Journaled). Click the

If for some reason you did fail to do this, then they are very liekly gone.
You can try restoring from backup.

  • Is there any way to get music content back after it disappears?

Is there any way to get music content on iPod Touch back after it disappears?

What do you mean by "disappeared?" If you had synced your iPod touch with your computer, iTunes automatically makes a backup of your iPod so you could try restoring from that. The music would then also be in your iTunes Music Library on your computer so you can sync it back to your iPod.

  • Is there a way to get my photo back after my phone was stolen and I backed up on iCloud?

Hi was wondering if there was a way to get my photos off my stolen phone as I backed up to iCloud?

    Missing contacts:
Here's a test to perform - using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and go to the Contacts page.  If they are gone, then they are gone (is someone else using the same account as you, like a spouse or child?).
If they show up, then the problem is that your device is not connecting to the Contacts database on icloud.
On the device, go to Settings>icloud.  Be sure icloud is on and using the right ID.  If not, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete Account - this just disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost.  Then log back in using the correct ID.  ALSO - be sure the Contacts are turned on (on the same screen).
Note:  Contacts are not part of an iCloud backup, since they are part of contacts database on iCloud's servers.   So performing a restore will not help.
    Contacts are gone from icloud.com.
Then they have been deleted.  There are many reasons for this.  One possibility is that someone else is using the same iCloud account (family member, etc.) and they deleted contacts, thinking they did want them on THEIR device.  How to get them back?  Unfortunately, an iCloud backup does not include any of the sync databases, like contacts, notes, calendars, reminders, etc. because the data is already stored in these databases.  Your only hope for restoring the data is if you had that data on a computer (like a mac's Contacts, Calendars, etc.) and that data was backed up using whatever backup software you typically use (e.g. Time Machine on a mac).  Just restore the data files back to the computer.  Other than that, I'm afraid the data is gone.

  • If I lost my phone, is there any way to get the photos back? Are they automatically backed up to the cloud or anything?

I lost my phone over the weekend, I was curious if there was anyway to find any of the photos that were stored in my gallery remotely? Any ideas?

Losing your phone is never fun. Especially, when personal content may be lost. If you installed and set up the Verizon Cloud to auto back up the photos on your device, then photos will be saved to the cloud. Unfortunatley, the Verizon Cloud is not set up on the device on it's own. If there was no application set to backup personal content on the device, I apologize there is not a way to retreive lost photos.

  • Is there any way to get a picture back after you already deleted it?

I accidentally deleted a photo that wasn't meant to be deleted and if there is any possible way of getting it back I would be extremely happy to find out how

Sorry, but if you didn't back up the photo to your computer, iCloud, or some other device or service, the photo is gone.
    Regards.

  • Is there any way to recover deleted photos, etc after a sync?  iTunes didn'

let me say I hate that Apple software tends to give a button to push w/o options or other vital information. It's an example of making things too simple.
I synced my new iPhone with the older iPhone it replaced - not knowing it would delete everything off the old phone. I'm most wanting my photos back. I've tried downloading 3rd party data-recovery software, but it never seems to find the iPhone like it finds external cards or cameras.
Please, Please, is there some app that will work to recover deleted photos? And I think I will never trust Apple software again!

I synced my new iPhone with the older iPhone it replaced - not knowing it would delete everything off the old phone.
It is not possible to sync one iPhone with another.
You can transfer the backup for an older or existing iPhone to a new iPhone but doing so does not touch or delete anything off the older or existing iPhone. There is no device limit for the number of iPhones that can be synced with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on the same computer and each iPhone can have its own sync preferences with iTunes. Syncing one iPhone with iTunes does not touch any data on another iPhone.
Photos in the iPhone's Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. Photos in the Camera Roll are not touched during the iTunes sync process except for being included with the iPhone's backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process. The only way to delete all photos from the iPhone's Camera Roll is by using the iPhone's Erase All Content and Settings option, or by restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup. If you restore the iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup, the photos that were in the Camera Roll would be restored along with all other data that is included with the backup.
Syncing one iPhone with iTunes does not touch any data on another iPhone that is synced with iTunes on the same computer and it is impossible to sync one iPhone direct with another iPhone.

  • Is there any way to get my photos FROM my iPod Touch back onto a new hard drive?

My Mac crashed last Friday. First timeIs there any way to get my photos FROM my iPod Touch back into my new hard drive. The iTunes sync only goes one way from the computer to the iPod.
It syncs the photos taken with the iPod (really an old iPhone 3G without phone service) but not the folders which I synced from the old hard drive to the iPod over the past year.

    thank you for the tip.
Yes, my computer was backed up. for reasons way too complicated to go into here, these particular folders were not part of the backup.
    Thanks again for the help.

i beleve the police can do this some how as you hear of things when bad people have deleted things and they can get them back

We are not Apple employees on this discussion site. We are other users like you volunteering our time to help.
If you have never backed up then the photos are gone. You should always backup your iPad. You should be able to download your apps again in the App store purchased tab and as long as you use the same ID that you bought them with, you will not be charged again for them.

  • Is there any way to get at photos buried in collapsed collection stacks?

Is there any way to get at photos buried in collapsed collection stacks? (without resorting to keyboard stuffing I mean)

OK. Kludgy, potential optimisation for that suggestion:
    1) Find the top photo for each stack in that collection
    2) catalog:getAllPhotos() as per John's suggestion
    3) catalog:batchGetRawMetadata for the photos (in batches of ?) gathering uuid, and the collection equivalent of stackPositionInFolder and topOfStackInFolderContainingPhoto
    4) check for intersections between the photos found in step 1) and the top of stack photos identified in 3)
Don't have LR 5 SDK at hand so I'm assuming there are collection equivalents of the metadata available re folder stacks, and that the batch get metadata call will be quicker than calling a method on every folder in your catalog.
Stack handling in these SDK functions is, shall we say, sub-optimal.
