Is there any way to inculde original messages NOT as an attachement?

Below, Mr.Toynton inquired about this problem over a year ago with no response. This probelm has always been bothersome, but after being informed by one of my clients, that once an email thread is estsblished, all of the responses she recieves from me are enclosed in an attahcment with wonky formatting, this problem has become extremely troublesome. Does anybody have a suggestion of getting around this "attachment" issue when using .mac webmail?
thanks,
Christian
"When using the .mac webmail client (on any platform), I find it difficult to reply to emails when the original message is stored as an attachment, as you cannot see the text that you are replying to!
When using the Mail application on my Powerbook this is not an issue.
I'd like to know if anybody knows about any plans to change this functionality or a workaround? I access my email using webmail more often than the apple Mail client hence it is important to me.
Best regards
Jonathan Toynton"

Since this seems to be more a .mac issue than an OS X issue, you should re-post it in the .Mac Email on the Web Forum. You'd probably get a better response.

I just bought an new ipad mini with wifi and cellular. Is there any way to send text messages to people and contacts that do not have iphones such as friends with blackberrys or a samsung galaxy smartphone from this ipad. Everytime I try to send a message to a person that does not have an Apple product ( Iphone or Ipad ) it comes up saying contact is not registered for iMessage and wont send it. I can only send them a message from my iPhone 4 instead. Do I have to install a new App from the App store to send these non iMessage cell users a message?

Is there any way to print text messages from an iPhone 3GS?

The only ways to print any text messages from any of the iOS devices is to either do a print screen and then print those photos, or you could look for a program called TouchCopy that will allow you to download the SMS to the computer and you can handle them from there.

  • Is there any way to prioritize the Messages in ALSB?

    Hi all,
Is there any way to prioritize the messages based on some property of the message in ALSB. For example the messages from a specific sender is to have higher priorty.

You can configure thread pools on your different proxy/business service (dispatch policy). Therefore prioritizing client requests based on the service invoked.
In ALSB 3.0 you will also be able to control service throughput, for example you don't want to overload your back-end system with requests from ALSB.

Is there any way to delete saved messages from IPhone 4 memory?

Firstly you DO NOT have to do a factory reset / wipe device, it is simply not required to get the space back!!
Mine had 3GB and I just got rid of it all, here is how:
    Make a backup in iTunes
    open iBackupBot (Google it)
    Go to the relevant backup
Click on Multimedia File Manager and click on the other Multimedia files tab
Sort by filename by clicking the Filename tab
Find MediaDomain/Library/SMS/Attachments and highlight all of them, then press delete.  You can also click to export to a folder of your choice, if you want to save them that is.
    Then go to System Files>MediaDomain>Library>SMS>Attachments
They will be all listed here, highlight them all and press delete
Then just restore that backup using iTunes!
Tadaa! Space recovered, your messages are still there but without the attachments!
P.S You may want to make two backups in case you get any of the above steps wrong, but it is simple to follow the above and not do anything wrong!

  • Is there any way to recover old messages on iMessage?

Is there any way to recover old messages received on iMessage?

    Hi,
    No.
If you have several Devices such as an iPad and iPhone and Mac you may find that an older Conversation will sync several days after the iMessages were sent.
I happened to have been away from my computer over a weekend.
I iMessaged my wife from my iPhone whilst on a hotel Wifi.
These were synced when I turned on the Computer and launched Messages.
This was only a relatively short period of just over 24 hours.
I have not tested for longer.
I suspect there may be a 48 hour limit.

  • I am receiving my brothers imesssages on my MacBook, we share an iTunes account and an iCloud is there any way to stop his messages and add mine instead?

I am recieving my brothers messages on my MacBook, we share an itunes account and an icloud account is there any way to stop his messages and add my own?

Don't share the same ID for iMessage (you can still share the same ID for other things if you want).  On your iOS device, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID.  Then on your Mac, open the Messages app and go to Messages>Preferences>General, select your iMessage account, sign out, then sign back in with the new ID.

Kolyei, sorry for the late reply.
Have your brother create a contact in his phone for himself. Inside his own contact, have him add his phone number and his iCloud address.
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive Have your brother select both his phone number and email addresses where he would like to receive iMessages.

You would need to have enabled iCloud on your MBP. Your question indicated you did not.
Its serial number is useful for establishing ownership should the MBP be recovered. File a police report.

  • Is there any way to delete text messages from the external screen of an LG EnV3?

The internal screen of my phone doesn't work, so I've been texting from the external key pad. But my inbox has gotten full and I can't receive texts anymore. Is there any way to delete texts using only the external screen of the EnV3?

It was awhile ago and I'm not totally sure, but I think this was discussed and the conclusion was that you can't delete texts using the external screen of the Env3. **Edit  (Found one thread: http://community.vzw.com/t5/Messaging-Text-Picture-IM-etc/No-option-to-delete-text-messages-from-front-of-LG-enV3/m-p/43042#M1684 )  It came up in one other thread that I could find and the solution was to use the internal, and similar steps were given - the only difference was using the OK for Menu and #2 for Messages, rather than the left soft key for Messages.  vWhatever works...
What you CAN do, is open the flip, left soft key (which is the Messages menu), and there are several options - these are the text messaging ones -
    1. New Message
    2. Inbox (#)
    3. Sent (#)
    4 Drafts (#)
Press the right soft key (options) and your choices are:
    1.Erase Inbox
    2.Erase Sent
    3.Erase Drafts
    4.Erase All
If you choose Erase All, then OK - it will erase all except unread messages, and locked messages. If you choose any of the numbers, then hit OK, it will erase ALL in that category, read or not, so I would choose Option 4 to erase all but the unread.
HTH, and post back if you have further questions...
