Is there any way to know which Apple ID was used to activat

My father activated my iPad mini about two years ago.
I recently restored it after updating it to iOS 8.0.2
After restoring, it is asking for the Apple ID that was used to activate the device.
Unfortunately my father can't remember the Apple ID he used to activate the iPad mini.
I was wondering if there was any way i can know which apple ID was used so i can access my iPad somehow.
Or if there is any other way possible to activate my device. PLEASE let me know.

Click here and use Apple's iForgot service, or if needed, contact their Account Security team.
If both methods fail and you or he is the original owner, take the device and its original purchase receipt to a physical Apple Store.

  • Is there a way to know what apple id was used to purchase songs?

I backed up my songs and in order to play them I need to log in with the apple id that was used to purchase them and I don't remember it. Is there any way to figure it out?

If the songs are in your computer's iTunes library then you should be to see the account that bought them - see my reply on your earlier post : https://discussions.apple.com/message/23450213#23450213
If they aren't in your iTunes library then if you try to add them (File > Add To Library), and their account isn't already authorised, then are you prompted to authorise it ?

  • I've received an email of an unauthorised access which states it was done in Canada, is there any way I can request Apple to inform me what the IP address that made unauthorised access was?

I've received an email of an unauthorised access which states it was done in Canada, is there any way I can request Apple to inform me what the IP address that made unauthorised access was?
I want to know as it possibly relates to other security issues I've had of late and it would help further my investigation. Would a subject access request possibly allow me to recieve this information? As far as I know there's no way to see a list of when and where I sign in using my Apple ID?

Sorry but no, Apple cannot give you that information. The only way they could give anyone such an IP address would be if they received a court order to do so, if even then; I don't know what sort of tracking and logs they do.
However, if this email claimed that someone had tried to reset your password and in any way gave you a link to click to confirm your account information, the email was almost certainly a phish. Such phishing messages have been quite common over the last two or three weeks and should be deleted without responding. You may wish to manually type in the URL for Apple's page for managing an Apple ID and change your password, just as a precaution, and make sure you've set good security questions using responses that can't just be looked up for you (they don't have to be real information; you can use any response you wish as long as you can remember what you entered).

  • Is there any way to tell which formulas a particular cell is in, reverse look-up style? That is, is there a way to search somehow for which formulas in a sheet contain a particular cell in them without opening all of them up? If not, it would be nice

Is there any way to tell which formulas a particular cell is in, reverse look-up style? That is, is there a way to search somehow for which formulas in a sheet contain a particular cell in them without opening all of them up? If not, it would be nice.
I'm fixing a Numbers document that I use in business daily that's become overly complicated, but while I want to clear/delete a number of cells in it to clean it up, I'm not sure if those cells are being used as source for other formulas on the page. I don't have to open all my formulas one by one to see if that cell is in there, do I?! That'd be a huge amount of work if I wanted to eliminate say 10 cells to search each formula on the page to see if it is in there or watch all the cells when I delete that cell to see if the numbers change! There's got to be an easier way! Right click doesn't seem to be any help.
I don't want to damage my daily tool to make it cleaner and reorganize it. Is there really no way to do a reverse look-up of which formulas a particular cell is in?! Any time I click on a formula it highlights all the CELLS in that formula. Why can't I (or can I?) do the reverse and see all the FORMULAS that contain a particular cell?
As a Numbers document ages or gets used frequently, you can sometimes forget which cells are tied to which formulas. You just look for the results of your formulas. Would be a nice thing to be able to do. Thoughts? Work-arounds? Answers?

Answer would be no unless application provided such feature. Numbers does not as far as I know.
Note that even if you have complete list of formulae used in a table, identifying formulae referencing any given cell is not simple.
E.g., cell T20 is referenced not only in
    =T20+1
    but also in
    =SUM(T)
    =SUM(20:20)
    =SUM(S19:U22)
    =OFFSET(S1,19,1,1,1)
    =INDIRECT("T"&(10*2))
In order to identify such formula, we have to actually evaluate it to see if it references the given cell. Especially such formula as OFFSET() and INDIRECT() may not be found by static parser because their parameters can be dynamic.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.

  • Is there any way to know when an app is going to be discontinued?

I purchased an app around eight months ago for $13. I forgot about it until I was reloading apps onto my new IPad. When I went to find it, it was no longer in the app store at all. I contacted the support people who told me that since it was "so long ago" there was no recourse.  So does that mean that any time you purchase an app it could disappear at any moment? Is there any way to know in advance that this will happen?  Never mind that it stinks to spend that amount of money and then have nothing to look back at.
Additionally, I have had trouble reloading apps that I have paid for as an "in app purchase".  What is the deal with that?  Is that information not stored like buying an app outright?
    Thanks
    DTC

Apple constantly reminds folks to backup their content. Apple warns folks all of the times that content may not always be available in the iTunes or Mac App Stores and most folks ignore the warnings or cannot be bothered to read them. No, unless the developer warns you that they are with drawing an app from one of the stores, there is no way to know in advance that an app may no longer be available.

  • Is there a way to tell which apple ID I have is better to back up to icloud?

I want to back my iphone 4s onto icloud, but I have 2 apple ID's.  I don't know which one I should use; does it matter what I' ve purchased on either account? Is there a way to see which account I have used to purchase more?  I don't want to lose contacts, pictures, songs, etc
    thanks!

You are mixing icloud accounts with itunes accounts - they are different.  You can use the same or different IDs for each account.  I recommend that you use the ID that was used to buy the most items from the itunes store when setting up the store connection on the device.  You'll lose access to the items bought using the other ID (only one ID at a time for the store is allowed).
As for icloud, you can only connect to one icloud account for all the features.  Choose the one (the ID) that has the contacts, etc. that you want.  Use that ID for the icloud connection (Settings>icloud).

Is there any way to know how much time swing client is on open state? My requirement is to show a message some time after the swing client open i.e., 4-5 hours.

You could also consider using javax.swing.Timer and java.awt.event.ActionListener (or javax.swing.Action) which takes care of running the actionPerformed code on the EDT.

No. Apple can do nothing. For the future there are apps that will periodically email you the device's location (if connected to internet)

My family shares one apple id. Is there any way to make an apple id for each member of my family and have it all connected to the same credit card and have the same previous downloads open to download by signing in to each members personal apple id?

    Hi cindy,
If you all have individual Apple IDs, then you would be able to dowload music from a shared iTunes library on a computer, but you would not be able to sign on each individual ID on an iOS device in order to download music purchased under the original Apple ID without a 90-day waiting period between sign-ons.
    Here's what I mean:
If you were to sign on a new Apple ID on, say, an iPhone, and then were to purchase and download some music from iTunes, then you would have to wait 90 days before you could sign on the old Apple ID to that iPhone in order to download previously purchased material (and vice versa).
However, if all of the music purchased by that origjnal Apple ID is in an iTunes library on a shared computer, then you can hook up the device and selectively sync any music in that library to the device. You can also sign on any of the Apple IDs to that shared iTunes library and purchase music to be added to the library.
You would need to authorize the computer for each of the new Apple IDs.
Each of the Apple IDs would also be able to download that music purchased either by syncing to the iTunes library on the computer or by downloading it OTA on the device.
So, each Apple ID can download music, movies, etc. purchased with that Apple ID OTA to the device. Also each Apple ID can sync any music, movies, etc. that are in the iTunes library on the computer regardless of who purchased them.
The only other thing you would need to remember is that if an App needed to be updated, then the original Apple ID that was used to purchase that App would come up, and the password that goes with that Apple ID would be required to do the update.
    Hope that helps,

  • Is there any Way to find Which case is Executing in LabVIEW VI programmatically and Display it..

Is there any Way to find Which case is Executing in LabVIEW VI programmatically and Display it..
    Solved!

I wrote this a few years ago: http://lavag.org/files/file/199-state-machine-follower/
This JKI RCF Plugin sets the Visible Frame property of a Case Structure while the owning VI is running. Use it to follow the execution through the cases in your string-based State Machine/Sequencer when Execution Highlighting isn't fast enough (and, it's never fast enough).
The use-case I wrote this to improve is setting a Breakpoint on the Error wire coming out of the main Case Structure and probing the Case Selector terminal so I can float-probe wires during execution. The problem with this is that I had to manually select the current frame every time. This is boring, so I developed this plugin to automatically set the Visible Frame to the case most recently executed.
You might be able to adapt it to your needs.  The basic idea is that a custom probe on the wire to the Case structure's selection terminal sends a notification to a VI that displays the appropriate case.
We might be able to help you develop something easier if you'll give us more information.  Is it OK if the code to display the case is in the same VI?

  • Is there any way to know that status of DEFINE variable?

    Hi,
I have a list of scripts that is executed to create my baseline database. At the beginning of the script execution, we have a SET DEFINE OFF and at the end we put SET DEFINE ON. During one of the scripts, we deliberately SET DEFINE ON and we forgot to SET DEFINE OFF at the end of the script. Consequently, the following scripts started failing without error notification because they contained '&' in the INSERT query. I have the following queries:
    1. Is there any way to know the status of the DEFINE variable at the beginning of the script?
    2. Since the oracle gives a user interrupted error, the script execution process does not terminate with error. Instead, it continues executing the next scripts. Is there a general way to capture such errors and terminate the script execution. We already have WHENEVER SQLERROR and WHENEVER OSERROR in our script execution process.

SHOW DEFINEtells you if DEFINE is ON or OFF.
If DEFINE is ON, it will produce something like:
define "&" (hex 26)If DEFINE is OFF, it will produce
    define OFF

We already have WHENEVER SQLERROR and WHENEVER OSERROR in our script execution process.Do you really need to capture those errors? Why not just prevent them? It sounds like you want to make sure DEFINE is OFF at a certain point. To do that, just say
SET  DEFINE  OFFRegardless of whether DEFINE was ON or OFF before you issue that command, you can be sure it will be OFF after that.
I hope this answers your question.
If not, post a complete test script (or set of scripts) that people can run to re-create the problem and test their ideas.
Point out where the scripts you post are not doing what you want, and describe, with specific examples, what you want it to do in those places.

Is there a way of knowing which external drive ejects?
I have several external drives and when one ejects on it's own it usually immediately restarts again and does not give me time to find which one was the problem drive.
Is there a way of figuring this out?
    Thank you!

No unfortunately without restoring the library and running it there is no way to tell if it is good or not.
