Is there any way to pass Mail.app rules to Outlook?

Hello, I want to use the same rules i use in Mail app from OS X in Outlook. Can you help me find the way to do it, because I have tons of rules and don't want to copy them one by one.

How much fuss is too much?
You can easily change your home directory to the other drive. That would certainly take care of it. Copy your home directory to the other volume. Then, in System Preferences > Users & Accounts, select your account, right/command click and choose Advanced. Change your home directory. Log out and back in.
You could also try to hack around with symbolic links, but that is more fuss.

  • Is there any ways to make Mail app show prefix and suffix in the address field?

I apologize for any inconvenience that my poor English may cause.
I would like to ask if there is a way to make Maill app show prefix and suffix in the address field.
This is, in my culture, very important, especially for formal situations. When I call someone such as professors, bosses, I should put prefix after their names to show my respect. In Microsoft Outlook, there is a field called 'Display as'.
    http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/contacts/contact-address-book-options-settings/
Therefore, I can choose how the name will be shown in my messages. For example, Prof. Kim instead of Kim. However, as far as I know, there isn't such options in Mail app. Is there any way that I can modify the way of displaying names in the address field in Mail app?

As far as I can determine, that is only how you see the email address, not how it is sent.
You can set up Prefixes and Suffixes in Contacts using the Add Field submenu of the Card menu:
If you use the Edit Template... command, you can choose to always have the Prefix and Suffix show on new cards.
However, I don't think Mail uses anything but First, Last for addressing emails.
You can override the behavior by manually with:
Prefix First Last Suffix <[email protected]>

  • Is there any way to pass a webapp item ID number to the input form of another webapp?

    Context:
I'm working with a group of members who are collaborating on research.  The idea is for one person to post information, and then have others build on it, including attaching files, images and hyperlinks (so a simple forum doesn't work...).
If I could have the item ID from the main webapp be passed to the "child" webapp, all would be well.  I tried {tag_itemid} but of course, this didn't work.  I can display the item ID and have the users retype it into a form, but this isn't very streamlined...   Is there any way to pass the information directly to the form?
    Thanks!!
    Linda

Simply make the child web app form part of one of the main web app's layout(s)/template. That way, when you use {tag_itemid}, it will be that of the main web app.

  • Is there any way to make Mail open next message?

Is there any way to make Mail open the next message on the inbox automatically after deleting, forwarding o saving a message?
I mean, is there any way to, after reading a message, going to the next or previous message without double clicking the main inbox window?
I used (on windows) to read mail on outlook, or even on entourage for mac, and after I read a message, even if I deleted it, forward it, replied it, or even saving it on a folder, automatically the program (outlook, entourage, hotmail, etc) opened the next message on the inbox, but I am not able to find any way to make Mail do that.
Is there a way to it? Or should I provide suggestions to Apple?
By the way, no meant to prefer microsoft for this, I just think this is a cool feature for reading several messages one after another without going back to the main inbox page and double clicking the message to read...
    Thanks for any help

Down-arrow, Return. Return opens the selected message. I read through hundreds of messages without ever touching the mouse. Once you get used to the keystrokes, Mail is extremely efficient.

  • Is there any way to stop an app from updating?  I accidently hit update all, and have an app I don't want updated.

Is there any way to stop an app from updating? I accidently hit "update all" and have an app i don't want updated.  Thanks

you can't reverse the process, once you accepted there is no other way, if you sync it to your itunes library in your computer it will automatically update the updated app as well.
What you can try though is delete the app from your iPad and try syncing it to your itunes library but if you set up iCloud it may update the app automatically

  • Is there any way to synch mail on two Macs so it doesn't have to be read twice?

Is there any way to process mail once instead of having to go through it again on each device? If you read or delete a message is there any way to have this synched on other devices?

    Use ones that do :-)
Any service that does not provide IMAP, in my opinion, is not a service you want.
I suppose the alternative is to use webmail.  Yuk.

  • Is there any way to pass value from one SWF to another ?

I am doing project using flash, now I cant pass a value from one SWF to another, is there any way to pass value from one SWF to another.
    thanks

    Hi,
Just to confirm here do you simply want to communicate between two SWFs without involving Flash Media Server. If this is the case one good way of doing it is to use a local connection. It can be used for direct communication between two separate instances of the flash player. However if you want to involve multiple clients sharing a common variable then you may have to use Shared Object for this. Please let me know what is the actual use case, is it multiple clients sharing a common variable or different player instances communicating between themselves.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

Hi both myself and my wife have separate iTunes accounts is there any way we can share apps?

Your are likely to find running two different AppleIDs on the same device to be more trouble than it is worth. Apps and content cannot be shared between IDs.

  • Is there any way to pass in JVM tunable params to OC4J containers?Ex: -Xmx256 ...

Is there any way to pass in JVM tunable params to OC4J containers?
    1. Switch to -server rather than -classic
    2. Min/Max Memory configuration
    3. pass in tunable GC params
Passing parameters to the JVM when executing dcmctl does not pass these variables to the exec-ed java process(OC4J Containers).
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello
say I like to pass object I created in one page say :
    MyObject obj = new MyObject("1","2","3");
via http params (supmit or post ) to other page . and
use it there can it be done ?No. You can however place them as attributes in scope (application/session/request) and retrieve these attributes in the next page.
    example
    in one page,
    session.setAttribute("obj", obj);
    in another page
    MyObject obj = (MyObject)session.getAttribute("obj");
    ram.

  • Is there any way to undelete an App that was deleted by accident, while at the same time keeping all the info that was in the App?

Is there any way to undelete an App that was deleted by accident, without loosing all the information that was in the App?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanx P.

Only if you have an iPhone backup from the time before you deleted the app. App data and settings are part of the backup, but iTunes replaces the existing backup with a new one when you sync. Only backups used to restore the phone will not be replaced and marked with a time stamp.
If you included the iphone backup folder into your computer backup routine, you could restore the folder and use the iphone backup to restore your phone. But all data will be set back to theat point in time when the backup was taken.

  • Is there any way to make Mail forget previous search terms?

When I search for a mail starting with say, the letters 'and' it finds every email to, from or whatever associated with those three letters. However, it includes, in the cases of to or from, old email addresses that are no longer in 'Contacts' and or have bad memories for me. Is there any way to make 'Mail' forget those email addresses completely?
This is not or does not seem to be the same as removing an email address from the previous recipient list.
    Thanks.

Hmm. This removes the recipient only in such a way that when I type the first 3 letters of an address in a new email, that particular recipient does not appear.
However, if the same first three letters of the addressee's name are typed in the Mail search function, the previous recipient's email address is still offered as an option. So I am afraid this does not help.
Removing a previous recipient's email address is apparently not the same as making the Mail application forget a particular email address.

  • HT1531 is there any way to open powerpc apps?

is there any way to install powerpc apps?
and im using mac verison 10.7.3 not 10.5 lepard.

Not in Lion. PPC applications are not supported by Lion. You can try upgrading them to versions that are designed to run on Intel Macs. You can look for Intel compatible alternatives. You can partition your hard drive and install Snow Leopard on one partition that you can use to run PPC applications by installing the Rosetta emulator when you install Snow Leopard.
Beyond this it's hard to assist because you did not state what PPC applications you want to run.
