I was sold an Apple TV by the "genius" telling me it could stream live internet broadcasts from my macbook pro to the tv. Turns out that can only happen from my IPad. Since the broadcasts I want to show on the TV play in Adobe Flash, my IPad can't access it. Is there a way to access Flash streaming on an IPAd?

There are are several ways of running Windows programs on a Mac.
Using Bootcamp, a built-in OS X program that will allow you to boot either Windows (mostly Win 7) or OS X.
Using an emulator such as Parallels Desktop or VMware Fusion to run Windows. This method does not require a reboot.
In all cases you will require a liscensed copy of Windows.

I think I sorted it out:
On your Mac, go to the Bluetooth preferences panel after pairing your (your android phone) to the Mac.
Select (your android phone) in the left-hand menu, then use the little cog to pull down a list of options.
Select "Edit serial ports..."
Click the '+' icon, and in the Port Settings section, select OBEX Object Push.
Protocol should be automatically set to RS-232. Click "apply" (and probably "require pairing" to be nice n secure) et voila!!

I found quicktime player can export the movie as webpage versions, uses java to play the movie instead of quicktime player.
How can I do the same with iweb? From the webpage which quicktime generated said should insert some code to the head of page and something else, but how do I insert those codes to the page I create with iweb?

I am testing fms this days, I have put all my files(such as 1.mp3,2.mp3...n.mp3) in my directory.
I can play single file fine with url like this:
rtmp://localhost/mp3/mp3:x/2
but i want to know is there any way to play all files in my direcotry?
for example, user click the play button, the player(smp) automatic plays all files in the directory, link windows media server.
Should I use playlist? Or there is another better way?

FMS do not directly take a directory to play files, the file names have to be fetched some way (through script if needed) to make a playlist and then the play command needs to be repeated as many times.

Try this:
Open the "Find my iPhone" app on your iPad, fill in your AppleID and password at the start up screen, and you should see a list of all your devices and their current location, if connected to a Wi-Fi or mobile data network. Devices not connected will be shown as "offline". But you can still trap on the icon and hit "erase iPhone" in the right hand window.
If your iPhone is not listed, you did not activate this feature during the setup of the phone and it can't be erased remotely.
If the phone is listed, even as offline, tap on "erase" to send the erase command. The next time your device will be connected to any kind of network, the content will be erased.

Is there any way to stream FROM my Apple TV TO my iPad? I know I can stream from the pad to the TV, but I haven't seen anything that lets me do it vice-versa. I want to stream while my computer is off/asleep. I don't want to keep my computer awake all the time simply to be prepared for the random moment when I want to watch a movie but I'm not in a position to go turn on my computer and turn on iTunes. If my Apple TV could stream the movies and music, that would suit my needs, but it looks like that feature isn't available. Does anyone know how to work around it using either Apple or 3rd-party software/hardware?

You can use Apples Remote app to stream any macs iTunes library to ATV1 but only second gen ATV,s are capable of streaming direct from iOS devices.

You can't transfer directly between an iPad and an iPod because Apple didn't include that functionality. Although it's possible to use an iPad without hooking it up to a computer after the initial set up, it's not recommended, especially by Apple. Without a computer, you have no way to back up your device and no way to update the system software. If you chose to use your iPad in a way Apple didn't intend, you're going to experience some limitations.

You can rent the Creative Cloud software for about $30/month.
I don't know if a Student discount is availabe for CS 6 - I couldn't find that info on the web site.
Adobe never has given students free software, and why should they? The folks at adobe don't work for free.
They already offer fully functional progams at a deep discount to students, who can use them for whatever purpsose they want. That should be enough.

Is there any way for play/stop to NOT apply to the metronome? [mainstage 2]

I have EXS24 samplers triggered by drum pads, but like to be able to set one pad to [Play/Stop] so I can stop the samples on the fly. (in case I make a mistake or something) Problem is, I want to send the metronome to my drummer (via a different output on my interface) but I DON'T want [Play/Stop] to stop the click. Is there any way to get better control of the metronome? Does anyone with mainstage 3 know if this is an option? Can I re-wire it with logic 9 and run a click out of logic? Can't seem to get mainstage and logic to work together... Just need my click to run independently.

What you may try is to replicate your base map but take the point theme out of its definition. Then create a second tile layer for the new base map. You can add both tile layers to the client (but set only one of them to be visible). Then simply switch the tile layers' visibility on/off based on user turning on/off the point theme. The built-in Oracle Maps tutorial #22 (Multiple Base maps) has some sample code you might be able to re-use.

So I have an iPod. I have many songs purchased from iTunes. I have a Verizon wireless cellphone with Vcast. This plays music using Windows Media Player (WMP). Is there any way on God's gree earth to import my purchased songs into WMP so I can place them on my phone. I understand this is why the iPhone was created, but I don't have that kinda money and I like Verizon. Please help, anyone. Is there software I can buy to convert these songs. Anything please.

You can burn iTunes purchased music to CD. It is the process of changing the format of that purchased, whether to use it on another player or to thwart the encoded DRM-protection that Apple discourages.
It is that process of converting DRM-protected music that we can not help you with here.

Is there any way to play 1080p videos on the iPad with Retina Display without watching in full screen?

When I watch 1080p videos from iTunes on my iPad, they are stretched to fit the whole screen (with black borders) even though there aren't enough pixels in the video. This means that the videos are not crisp as one would expect on a retina display, but slightly blurry, as they are not pixel perfect. Is there any way to make the video smaller? Or does anybody know any 3rd-party apps which can do this?
