Is there any way to prevent the OS from querying the Superdrive when start

Just a random question. Whenever my MacBook Pro starts up (either from sleep or a complete/fresh start, the OS queries the drive slot to see if there is a disc present. While this may be normal behavior, it seems to slow down the start up process. (I rarely ever have a disc in the drive). Just curious if this, in fact, normal, or if there's something awry.

I think you could use some third party software to lock the folder like FolderLock, just make sure others ppl cannot access your file should be fined.

Not at development level. We want it after deploying the application on server .
We want to create it (web.xml) at tomcat startup (or in any other web/app server ) before loading any context.
Is there any way to run a simple java class(not servlet) on tomcat startup(before initializing the contexts)?

Is there any way to prevent excess rows from being added to a table on the front panel?

Whenever I programmatically add rows through a property node I can still go into the front panel and keep adding additional rows through the table. Is there any way to prevent this "excess scrolling"? Maybe grey out the rows or something?

You should be able to right click on the table on the front panel and select
Visible Items>>Horizontal Scrollbar or Vertical Scrollbar
You could also consider changing their visibility programmatically using a property node for the control or indicator that you are referencing. You can create the property node by right clicking on the control on the block diagram and selecting
Create>>Property Node>>Visible Items>>Horizontal Scrollbar or Vertical Scrollbar

Is ther any way to prevent implicit data typing in the block scriptd

System build /autocode implicitly define the type of variables that are not defined by the user in a block scripts based on the value assigned to them.
As an example, if there is no type definition for the variable A in a block script, depending which of the following lines appears first in the block script the type of variable will be defined differently in the autocoded model:
A = 1; -> RT_INTEGER A;
A = 1.0;-> RT_FLOAT A;
This behavior can cause undesirable result in certain situations.
Is there any way to flag the variables in the block scripts with no type definition during analyze / autocode? or alternatively, disable the implicit type definition such that any variable without explicit type definition in the block scripts will result to an error during analyze / autocode.

It is the default behavior to pick up the type from the first assignment. However one can explicitly type variables as seen in the BlockScript user guide page 2-7. For instance, one can declare
Inputs: U;
Outputs: Y;
Parameters: (UBrk, YBrk);
Float U, Y(;
Float UBrk(, YBrk(Y.size,;
This forces all the parameters and local variables to Float.
Let me know if this helps, there is not a way to turn off implicit typing, just a way to explicitly type.

Is there a way to prevent AD users from accessing the VPN?

I have ASA 5510's that authenticate users to the Active Directory. Is there a way to prevent users, that even though they are validated through the AD from being to establish a VPN connection?

Haven't tested this lately, but with the ipsec client, you used to be able to go to an AD user's "dial-in" tab, and there was a check box there for "allow remote access" or something that. If this was checked, they could authenticate via IAS, if not, they couldn't. This allowed only selected users within AD to use the VPN. Not sure if this is still the case, but it's a start...

I'm having this problem as well, and found your post. Are you referring to the Enabled State of the entire graph? If so, this prevents the user from moving the cursor at all while the VI is running, which, of course, defeats the purpose of having a cursor at all. Ideally, I would like to show the cursor palette and disable it's run-time shortcut menu. This doesn't appear to be possible. One workaround would be to hide the palle and instead include some indicators that show the cursors' values. I'd prefer to show the palette to keep the program simpler.
Any other solutions?

Is there any way to prevent misbehaving solved by refreshing the browser?

When I play my published Captivate 6 file in the browser (in this case Google Chrome), it sometimes gets "stuck" --- rollovers don't work properly or buttons don't show up when they are supposed to. Sometimes I get the audio echo problem where audio from some previous slide plays on a future slide). None of these things happen during previews.
If I refresh the browser and then continue where I left off, the problems are gone.
What is causing this awful behavior? I am afraid I am disappointing my client, which I never want to do and have never done in the past! We will have to publish instructions telling people that if anything goes wrong, they should just refresh their browsers. But some may not know how to do that, some may not read the instructions, etc. etc. causing support calls to my client and general dissatisfaction with the training.
Is this just a shoddy product or did I not do something I need to do to get it to behave itself?

hmm the a64 is locked so you cannot use a cpu multipier to have only cpu go faster..
i oc with the fsb....but noticed that i may actually be over running my power, at high oc's(233) if i unplug at least 3 hard drives, and some fans it will run microsofts memmory tester...but not with them in.
you may be able to oc if you drop your mem speed down in bios to 333 or 200.
so when you oc the memm will clib from there...i have seen good results from that.
one person was able to catch my 232 results from dropping down to 200 mem speeds.

Are you leaving the box unchecked to Manually manage music & videos? You don't need to to add anything to the iPhone.
Simply drag the playlist to the iPhone to manually add it.

Excel is strictly treated as a data source and Siena only imports the data in your tables, not the formatting.
If there is some business logic behind the formatting, you could mimic the same logic in Siena. For example, the font is bold or red if a value is in a certain range, the font is in italics if the data is for a specific customer, etc.

I have a problem with my screen on my MBP such that when the computer is asleep in its case the lid often comes ajar, wakes the computer, and drains the battery. Is there any way to prevent the lid opening from waking the computer?

Option 3: Open Applications > Terminal and type sudo pmset lidwake 0 (you'll be prompted to enter your admin password). To revert to wake on lid open, use the Terminal command sudo pmset lidwake 1.

When I change "browser.newtab.url" to about:home and open a new tab, focus is set to the address bar not the search box on the firefox home page. The same thing happens if i change the url to google.com or another search engine. Is there any way to prevent this from happening.

Custom new Tab has a small bug if the start page is exactly the same as the new tab page. Then the focus of the start page is on the address bar. Just leave the "www." out in the startpage and use "www." in the new tab page then it works perfectly. e.g.
Startpage: google.com
new Tab page : www.google.com
Now the focus of the start page is on the search box.
