Welcome to the Apple community.
If you have a backup that includes these photos, you could restore your phone.

  • Is there any way to restore contacts that have been deleted from the icloud website?

All my contacts were deleted from icloud - no intervention on my end -(I spent hours updating and eliminating duplicates after syncing from MS Outlook and don't look forward to that exercise again) thanks

Thank you CS, I am using a MBP.
What I am trying to say is that I still have my contacts in MS Outlook, but are outdated- many duplicates - wrong/incomplete addresses that took quite a while to get in shape and then put in the cloud.
I still dont know how it was erased (sitting at work one minute no issue then at noon all was gone).
I am trying to evade the hours needed to clean up my address book again. ( and I have definitely learned my lesson - alwasy keep a backup).

  • My daughter's iPhone was stolen, is there any way to recover photos that were back-upped to iCloud?

My daughter's iPhone was stolen. Is there any way to recover photos that she would have backed up to the Cloud? Note, we did not have photoshare running.

Camera roll photos are included in the backup.  The backup includes:
Photos and videos in the Camera Roll
Device settings (for example: Phone Favorites, Wallpaper, and Mail, Contacts, Calendar accounts)
    App data
    Home screen and app organization
    Messages (iMessage, SMS, and MMS)
    Ringtones
    Visual Voicemails

  • Is there any way to recover photos you have deleted from iphoto trash?????

Is there any way to recover photos you have deleted from iphoto trash;ie  emptied trash..

Depends on the version of iPhoto - some details would help us help you
If you have iPhoto '11 then the photos go from the iPhoto trash to the system trash and you can recover them there and import backinto iPhoto
Otherwise you you are looking at data recovery software like file salvage http://subrosasoft.com/software/filesalvage or a data recovery service

how do i retrieve photos that have been deleted from my ipod touch if i have windows operating system?

Yest it will restore photos deleted from yur iOd probvide that the photos were taken before the the last synce/backyp was made.  Make syre yu have automatic syncing turned off (Itunes>Preference>Devices>Check the box that says prevent auto syncing when connected).  Otherwise when connected, a backup that reflects the deleted photos will be made and will replace the previous backup.

  • How to not allow someone to load text messages that have been deleted from the phone however apps are still able to reteive them

Someone is trying to access the text messages that have been deleted off of my phone thru an app (unknown app)
I do have somethings that I want to remain private in my phone and I either need help to delete them for good. Or block them

Let me rephrase that. They can't unless they had physical possession of your phone and installed spyware on it.

  • Is there any way to recover photos that you've lost?

so I edited a lot of pictures and saved them somewhere in my external hard drive, but don't know where, i'm afraid i might have overlaid the folder with a previous version of it… so, my question is, is there any way to see where you've saved your edited pictures, or, does photoshop save it in somewhere else besides the folder that you've "save as…"'ed ? thanks very much!

For the future may I suggest a little thing we computer geeks like to call...
    Backup!
DVD writers are cheap.  Media is cheap.  External hard drives are cheap.  There's no excuse but laziness for not having backed up your valuable or irreplaceable data!

  • Is there a way to recover photos that have disappeared during download?

Yesterday on iPhoto, I watched the download of over 800 shots from my Nikon d5100.  I had some great shots of baby deer, vultures sunning themselves and osprey fishing.  After it finished, as usual I clicked 'delete photos' (I now know to never do that again).  After waiting a long time it was still 'finishing import', but seemed frozen with the 'spinning wheel of death' on my computer screen. I force quit iPhoto, turned off & unplugged my camera.  2nd try same thing, but it then said importing about 500 photos. At the end it froze again, so I repeated my force quit. Third try it said importing 142 photos and actually finished the import. Usually it will say 'found xxx photos that need to finish importing’ & that's when the rest of my images usually show up but not this time. Only 13 photos showed up.
I've searched my back ups, tried ‘rebuilding’ my small thumbnails, library database & ‘recover orphaned photos’; after chasing down google searches on recovering photos and reading everything I could find here that sounded similar. I keep thinking they must be on my computer somewhere because I went from 32gb available to 10gb. That usually happens with 1k photos, not 150.
    Mac osX version 10.9.3 Maverick
    iPhoto ’08 version 7.1.5 (378)
    Thanks for any help offered!

Not technically inclined it took me an hour to post this question and it still says Leopard, Mac osx 10.5.4 under my thanks. I have Maverick now, but couldn't find how to change that, sorry!!

  • HT204150 Is there a way to retrieve contacts that have been deleted in iCloud ?

My husband has a iCloud acct and so do I... Some how my contacts were transferred to his iCloud acct. He deleted all my contacts so now I have no contacts. how do I get them back to my IPhone ?

On her device, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud.  The device that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.)  When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iDevice.  Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom).  Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting her contacts from your account, and vice versa).

  • Is there any way to retrieve photos that were put in the trash can and then it was emptied?  Or is there a way to move photos from an imovie to iphoto?

Is there any way to retrieve photos that were put in the trash can and then it was emptied?  Or is there a way to move photos from an imovie to iphoto?

If you've emptied the trash, ehtn no. However if you have a backup, like Time Machine, or a recent backup copy of your photo library you could recover the photos from the trash.
The answer to getting a snapshot form iMovie depends on what version you have.
I should add it technically may be possible to recover the emptied trash, but if you really want to do that you would need to download a utility software that can attempt to recover deleted files. Do it soon before you start writing more data to that disk. At the moment I don't have a recommendation for such a program. Maybe someone else out there will offer suggestion.

  • Photos that have been deleted to aperture trash cannot be viewed. Any assistance is welcome in fixing this bug. The showing all files option is selected in the filter. System is 10.8.4, aperture version 3.4.5

Photos that have been deleted to aperture trash cannot be viewed. Any assistance is welcome in fixing this bug. The showing all files option is selected in the filter. System is 10.8.4. Aperture version 3.4.5. Used to be able to view the files then all of a sudden they have stop appearing. Once the aperture trash is emptied the files can be viewed in the system trash. Becomes quite annoying if you want to review the aperture trash files before deletion.

Photos that have been deleted to aperture trash cannot be viewed  ...
The showing all files option is selected in the filter.
Cookiemonster, previously Frank Caggiano's magic helped in this situation - have you tried the double, double Caggiano as described here?

In the most recent version I cannot get this trick to work, however. But try it anyway, maybe it is just my macthat has an issue.
Did this happen directly after the update? Where is your library located, on an external or an internal drive? Are your originals managed or referenced?
I'd try next to check, if this is caused by the library, by creating a small test library and trying to trash pictures there. If it works well in a new library try to repair the database and the permissions on your regular library.  See:

  • Is there a way to import images that have been edited and assign them to the original?

I am transitioning to mac and aperture. Is there a way to import images that have been edited and assign them to the original? I have 10,000 originals and about 2,000 edited images. The originals are named img_XXXX and anything modified img_XXXX_modified. I would like to be able to import the originals and then import the edited versions and assign them to the original masters. Instead of starting from here and going forward with 12,000 masters, some of which are actual originals and others not. Thanks for the help.

Ah, the vestiges of a destructive workflow! Once you "get" Aperture, (specifically Masters and Versions) you are going to love it, as all of this work goes away - the relationship that you seek to retain is automatic in Aperture; it is simply done differently.
The short answer to your question is EVERY image file that is Imported into Aperture will create a new Master and one Version. Assuming that your images are PSD/TIFF/JPEG that you created in something like Photoshop, then each one that your import will be a new Master. You have many options:
-- Stick the originals in one Project(s) and the edited versions in another Project(s).
-- Stick them all in the same Project(s) and "Stack" them.
But here is the real question: Why are you doing all of this work and what are you trying to accomplish? Seems you are trying to preserve old things that don't need preserving in a non-destructive workflow.
So, what is most valuable to you?
-- The original, out of camera files? (That is, the fear/need to revert.)
-- The edited versions? (That is the hours of work that it took you to get there.)
If the former, import the originals and ignore the edited versions. (Either simply leave them out on disk or import them into their own Projects which you ignore.) Use Aperture to recreate the work you had done previously. This will always give you the ability to revert to the original Master and create as many Versions as you want. This is the best idea if your edits are relatively simple crops and exposure adjustments,
If the latter, then import the edited versions and do as above with the originals. This makes more sense if your work uses lots of layers and, perhaps lots of clone tool type corrections.
Of course, you can do a bit of both.
Others may have better suggestions, but you will find it easy to answer your own question when you understand an image based, as opposed to a file based, non-destructive workflow.
    Good luck!
