Is there any way to register for changes in a NetworkInterface?

Greetings. I'm interested to know if there's a way to register for changes to a NetworkInterface. Changes could include ifup/ifdown, a change in the displayable name, adding/removing InterfaceAddress or InetAddress, or even a change in the hardware address. It doesn't look like it but I thought I'd check.

When there was support for Google Toolbar, I was able to do this; now, whenever I want to search for something, I have to open a new tab to do it, and cut-and-paste my search into the search field in the new tab. I used to be able to highlight, drag, and drop something into the search field and have it automatically open in a new tab. This is enough for me to switch to Chrome . . .

If you are not using the material then you can go for Validation, under Operative Structure> Network> Validation.
Attach the validation with OPSA click on Automatic.
In the second scenario if you are using Material Component, as Mr.Muralidharan said OPSG there you can restrict the change by selecting Error Message.
1. Tcode OPSG in Setting see all the object are selected.
2. Click on Component tab under change in Purchase Order Exist tab select Error.

Is there any way to control or change the email notification format delivered by iBots? I have created an iBot to deliver the scorecard report to the team with type chosen as 'Attachment (HTML)' option. With this definition of iBot - notification being sent in MIME HTML (.mht) format. Due to some security settings at my email client - the attachement gets quratined because of .mht format. So, I am looking for an option to send the notification only in HTML (.htm) format with which I don't have any issues with my email client?

Reformatting and zeroing out might keep a drive going a bit longer, but once bad blocks become noticeable, it's not a drive you should trust any longer.

Implementing my first server-daemon I was wondering if there is any way to listen for OS commands/events affecting the application.
One particular handling I intend to implement is after an OS termination command (like *"kill myDaemon.jar"* on LINUX/UNIX) to shut down the daemon.
This would be really helpful, because in this way I would not just shut down the daemon brutally but being able to handle an event like this to shutdown the Thread pool, send all connected peers that the server/daemon will be down for a while, close all connections ...

Is there any Listener Interface which I can use to achieve this?
Is maybe the JVM/JRE handling this and running garbage collectors?

Is there any way to wait for a value without using JDialog or JOptionPane?

I am implementing a dictionary program by detecting word in a JTextPane and asking a user to choose one of available meanings from JOptionPane or JDialog. The program runs under a while-loop until all dictionary words are detected or a user clicks cancel.
However, I don't want to use JDialog or JOptionPane because it is sometimes annoying to have a popup window on every detected dictionary word.
So, I use JList with Buttons on the same Frame as the JTextPane. However, now, the program does not stop when it detects a dictionary word. It just uses a default value of the JList for translating word to meaning.
Is there any way I can simulate the JDialog or JOptionPane without using it?
I mean I'd like to stopp the program temporary, wait for an answer from other components, and then continue to detect the next dictionary word.

I'm probably reading this all wrong, but instead of the while loop,
the method just looked for a dictionary word from a particular caretPosition,
so, to start, it would be findWord(0)
when found, add whatever to wherever, note the caretPostion at the end of the 'found' word, and method returns.
when the user selects whatever button, the button's actionListener also calls the method again, using the noted caretPosition
findWord(42);
so, it starts searching from 42 (instead of the start)
basically it is event driven
findWord sets the button/s
click a button starts findWord

We are currently undergoing a massive change in assets depreciation rate with amortization date starting from 01-jan-13. To achieve this we decided to use MassTransactions -> Changes in Oracle Fixed Assets.
There is a preview available, which shows the results on the assets that are affected as well as the changes that we have decided to make. On the other hand, the preview does not consider the accounting results of the change so there is no way to see how the depreciation is affected.
However, someone could see the results using the what-if analysis, but in that case there is no option to use the amortization date in order to see the changes that the adjustment will create.
The only way we could really see the final results is to perform the mass change and then do a test depreciation and see the results. But in case where something is not acceptable by us, is there ANY way to rollback/undo the mass changes we did in the specific period?
If there is no way to do this from the UI, is there any other from the db? ( I know that messing with assets is like playing with fire )

In Firefox for windows or Linux, I can register a URL handler (e.g. mailto:) but android takes this to a new level with intents which can register responders for individual URIs as well as for and mine types.
Are there any plans to natively support android intents (e.g. to handle a transition from twitter.com to the native twitter app), or perhaps an add-on to support something similar? I have already found https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/open-native-app/ but it's a manual process, rather than an automatic one.

http is a website, Firefox browses websites. We are not planning on kicking people to the native app for such things. We do support loading resources that list helper apps. For example if you load a Google Maps page there is an Android icon in the address bar that will take that page info and pass it to the Google Maps app.

Since the UI team implemented the new skin for the 2014 release of CC, they switched over to using https://accounts.adobe.com for managing your "profile" - but this is only designed for stuff relating to a CC subscription.
The problem was reported internally in June, still waiting for them to respond. Until they fix it you can follow this link to an unlisted page, where the old Account Manager is still functional:

You need to be logged in to the corporate website before clicking that link. It will work for any localization, including EDU customers.

Keep in mind that I'm ignorant to the way these things work so if it's not possible for a technical reason then I wouldn't know. So yeah, the question, is it possible? 768kbps up is just too slow for me when I upload a lot of gaming HD videos on youtube. For 1080p at 8,100 kbps (cut down from 13,500 bitrate which yube doesn't even process it would seem) I get a file size of 900MB. I tracked the upload speed several times and I get up 300MB in 1 hour. Some can't even do that so I'm really not complaining I just want to go faster. Anyway, so a 900MB file takes 3 hours. If you're uploading a playthrough it takes a couple weeks. Sure cutting the bitrate to 5,000 and dimensions to 1280 x 720 will save 1 hour but it's still a long time. Okay I'm rambling here.

Whether you can get more speed than you have today depends upon two things.
1). Does Verizon have the Central Office Capacity upstream.
2). How good (or bad) is the copper pair that connects you to the Central Office.
Item 1 there really isn't anyway to know about.
Item 2 you can establish by looking at your Tranceiver Statistics. You can get them by connecting to your Modem/Router (http://192.168.1.1 ) and loging in as the administrator. If you post those stats, there are people here who can tell you exactly what your copper pair should be capable of. The quality of the pair is a fuction of both the age of the cabling, and the wireline distance between you and the Central Office.
If your line can support a higher data rate, and Verizon has the backhaul capacity in the Central Office, Verizon will be very happy to sell you faster service.
If the pair is good enough, you might be able to actually get 7+ mbps on the downlink, but that generally requires a pretty short copper pair (under a mile), and cabling that isn't a lot older than you are.
The ultimate solution to this problem is to hope that FiOS is coming to you neighborhood soon. FiOS speeds leave DSL in the dust.
