Is there any way to restore my phone back to my settings when it was accidently set as someone else's?

My husband accidently put his settings on my phone when he updated it. Erasing all of my stuff and putting all of his on my phone. Is there any way to get my stuff back( photos, contacts, and apps)?

Please start your own thread rather than by replying to a threadjacker in a post that's been dormant for over six months, especially as you couldn't have been updating to any version of iOS 5. Use a properly descriptive subject line, explain the problem you're having, what error messages you've gotten and what steps you've taken to so far to troubleshoot.
    Best of luck.

  • Trying to download my pictures from vacation and my phone automatically reset to origional setting and I lost all my contacts and pictures.  Is there any way to restore my phone back to today's date.

I just lost all my contacts and pictures from vacation trying to download them to my computer because my phone reset to my origional sitting.  Is there a way to reset my phone back to today date or recover my pictures?

In short. No, you cannot unsync.  If you had a back up from your old iPhone you cand restore from a back up.
In iTunes go to Edit > Preferences > Devices > and select the latest back up.
Before you synced your phone did you have it set up with the PhotoStream or iCloud? The pictures would be saved there.  Or if you had them sync to a file on your computer.

Recently my computer was infected by a malware that deleted some DLLs and damaged Firefox, Opera and Google programs.
The other two browsers I reinstalled without any problems. But Firefox is my primary browser and I'm afraid of losing all my information.

Discussing jail broke phones on this forum is prohibited by the terms and conditions. You would need to google it to get info on that subject.

  • HT1414 Is there any way to restore i-Phone contacts and photos from an earlier (not most recent) backup?

When I updated my i-Phone's version, I lost all my contacts and photos.  Although I had a back-up of them, the backup disappeared when another backup was done automatically when the phone synced automatically at a later date.  Is there any way to access an earlier backup, even if it is not showing under Devices in iTunes or in the Backup folder in the appropriate Apple folder under the computer's Documents and Settings?

  • Is there any way to restore deleted calendars back onto my laptop from my iPhone.

I recently installed Maverick on my laptop and have been having trouble syncing my iphone calendars with my laptop calendars, like I used to.
Like an idiot, and without any research, I joined iCloud thinking I could sync calendars this way. I didn't realize that it deleted my calendars off my laptop in creating my iCloud calendars. The syncing with my iphone still didn't work, and so again, like an idiot and without research, I deleted my iCloud account ot discover that all my calendars on my laptop are now gone.
My iphone still has the calendars on it, (albeit old and out of date), so is there a way to restore the deleted calendars back to my laptop from my iphone or from the backup on my laptop.?
Running Maverick on laptop and iTunes 11.1.3. iPhone is an older 3gs but fully updated running 6.1.3
    Please help.
    Thanks!

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it, then copy it to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    ~/Library/Safari
    Quit Safari.
    Select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the Finder menu bar. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
A folder window should open. Restore the file named "History.plist" in that folder from a backup that predates the unwanted changes.

  • Is there any way to turn the phone back to firmware 4.2 or can anyone help with my problem of no sound

Ever since I downloaded update 4.3, I don't have any external sound from the speakers.  The phone rings fine and some sounds like the clock alarm works,
However I don't have any sound from any game app or apps like Pandora, I-Heart Radio etc.  All apps work fine, when an external headset is plugged in.
I keep getting a message that says "THIS ACCESSORY IS NOT OPTIMIZED FOR THIS IPHONE.   YOU MAY EXPERIENCE NOISE CAUSED BY CELLULAR INTERFERANCE AND A DECREASED IN CELLULAR SIGNAL STRENGTH.
I took the phone to the local Apple store and they said that it was the external phone jack.  However when I took the phone in for repair, the technican said that it was a software problem.
I tried restoring my phone and it did not help.  The repair tech said that I need to restore the software to a PRE 4.3 to verify that this will fix the problem.
The sound works fine when I plug in an external headset.  The sound bars show up on the front screen.  However when I remove the headphone, The sound bars no longer show up on the screen.

I have a similar issue. Sound works okay but keep getting the app not optimized, you may experience a decrease in celluar strength. Verizon says it is a software issue. Apple says it is a hardware. Phone will niot synch to itunes to do any kind of reset.

  • HT5500 I had to restore my phone back to factory settings because it was messing up. When I restarted it I chose to start it as a new phone, and now I can't get my of my contacts back. I've tried syncing with ICloud and no luck HELP

I restored my phone to factory settings. I chose to restart it as a new phone to avoid the problem I was having. Now I ant get any of my contacts back.  I cloud only has the contacts that weren't associated with Facebook (I had synced my contacts with Facebook prior to restarting my phone. Now when I synced with Facebook it doesn't have any of the phone numbers for the contacts. HELP ME GET MY NUMBERS BACK PLEASE

Are the contacts on your phone to be the same as the contacts in your computer? if yes do following:
In iTunes/Preferences/Devices   check the "Prevent iPods.... from syncing automatically".
Connect your iPhone to iTunes by cable or set sync by WiFi on the Summary page.
Then on the Info Page scroll down and check "contacts" under the "Advanced" heading.
Then click "sync" in the right bottom of the page.

  • After quitting FF 8.01 on a Mac with OSX 10.5, restarting the Mac then starting FF, the offer to Restore Previous Session is grayed out. Is there any way I can recover the list of pages open when FF was last quit?

Had about 15 windows w/ tabs open. System was a little sluggish and had not been rebooted in weeks so I Quit FIREFOX. Restarted the Mac, then FIREFOX. Option to Restore Previous Session was grayed out. I haven't used that computer since, hoping not to overwrite record of previous session.
I've used the Restore Previous Session feature many times before without any problems.

You used the data.  Verizon can not see what it was sued for.  However your phone can see whats apps used the data.  go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle.  line the dates up with your cycle.  then there will be a bar graph below that   extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right.  after those are extended below that will be a list of apps,  there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

  • Is there any way to restore an iPhone 4 from a previous backup?

I accidentally deleted all my contacts from my cloud settings, prior to backing it up on the computer. I hadn't realized it until I checked my phone again. Now the current backup has no contacts. Is there any way to restore my phone from a previous back up?
    Thanks in advance guys!

Every backup replaces the old one, unless you use one to back up from. So, if there are no more backups listed in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices, or your last backup has been replaced in iCloud, your info is gone.
If you included the backup folder of your computer in your backup routine, you might be able to restore backups done on the computer, see this article:

  • If I take off ALL my toolbars, is there any way I can get them back without restarting in Safe Mode?

I needed more of a browser window to run a tutorial, the start button was below sight of my window. So I took off all my toolbars and then I had enough room to see the top of the start button (tab?), enough for it to work. But then I had no toolbars and ended up having to restart in Save Mode and reset them. Is there any way to at least get back the menu toolbar when they have all been deleted? Thanks, Bill

    1. The '''F11''' key is for toggling Full Screen mode. That will give you more room than hiding all the toolbars does.
    2. Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.
Hit the '''Alt''' key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark. <br />
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.
