Is there any way to retain position within a tab?

There are times while reading an e-mail when I want to look at a different one. The problem is that if I switch to different tab, when I switch back I am positioned at the top of the message. Why is the position not saved and restored?

It's a long-standing [https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/tb-planning/TvNnz7vLGdY bug] (nuisance). But if you open messages in a window, instead of a tab, the scroll position is retained. The F and B keys (forward and back) still work for navigating a message list, just as they do for messages viewed in tabs or the Message Pane.

Is there any way to restore the 'Open New Tab' option in the tab bar drop-down menu?

After years of using tabbed browsing in Firefox, I've long-since gotten used to right-clicking the tab bar, and selecting the top menu item 'Open New Tab'. So much so that it has become reflexive. Now with v4, when I perform the same action, it now just reloads the current page. Is there ANY way to restore the option to the pull-down menu? I don't wanna have to move my pointer all the way to the other side of the screen just to open a new tab... (T_T)

Hello, I suffered from a similar problem with the new search bar type. I've found that you can go into '''about:config''', then search for '''browser.search.showOneOffButtons''' boolean and toggle that. This should restore the old functionality. (You might need to restart your browser)

Is there any way to do pages within pages?

This is the best way I can describe what I'm trying to do. I am creating an 8.5"x11 manual. Each page is broken into 4 separate squares (cards? tiles?), each with content about a particular product my company sells. The manual is in alpahabetical order, so when I have to insert a new product, I end up having to move around every tile that comes after it. I was wondering if there was any way to set up those tiles to behave like pages in InDesign, where I could just create a new one, and all of the others would automatically make room, by moving down the page and onto the next.
I have done them with a Data Merge before, but that seems needlessly difficult. I should also mention that I have other content on the page instead of just the cards, so I can't just have the pages be the size of the tiles and print 4 to a 8.5" x 11" page.

The short answer is no. What you can do is create a flow using linked text boxes and then insert elements into this.

When importing from an old Lightroom 2 catalog into Lightroom 4 (also from Windows to Mac) I seem to have lost all the development history of my photos. Is there any way to retain that?

I finally managed to get through the process of moving files and catalog from Lightroom 2.7 on a PC to Lightroom 4 on my Mac. I think I did it all correctly and all my file and previews and some tagging seems to be there. Two things are lost
1 - Most importantly, the development history on my files. I can see the edited versions in the previews, but as soon as I click on it, I can see that I lose all the changes I had made before. When I look at Development history, it just says "Imported on...." I'd love to get this back. That is a ton of processing work just lost because I switched computers.
2 - The collection names seem to have come over, but they are all empty. This is also a lot of work lost, though not as important as #1
Is there any recourse?

Is there any way to retain the formatting of text being imported from Excell as datasource?

My client has given me text formatted with italics, bold and colors. I have all the data for my app in an Excel spreadsheet. In Excel, the text formatting is preserved. However, when I import the data into my Siena app, all of the text formatting reverts
to whatever the format of the label control. Is there another type of control I can use to preserve the rich text formatting?

Excel is strictly treated as a data source and Siena only imports the data in your tables, not the formatting.
If there is some business logic behind the formatting, you could mimic the same logic in Siena. For example, the font is bold or red if a value is in a certain range, the font is in italics if the data is for a specific customer, etc.

Is there any way to view two tabs at the same time w/o opening a new window?

I would like to view one tab while I am working in another. I can do it by opening one of the tabs in a new window and tiling both windows on the screen. Is there any way to do it within one window?

Is there a way to retain the original date after editing?

I am using PSE 11 on a MacBook Pro, OS X (10.3). I have a lot of old pictures to edit, and they are in date order, which is how I want them.
However, when I edit a picture and save it, it moves it to the bottom, with today's date instead of the original date. I have them set to save with the original as a version set.
Is there any way to retain the orignal dates, short of having to go in and reset the date on every picture after I save it? I really want them to be in date order under their original dates.
BTW, I used earlier versions that were Windows-based, and this didn't happen. When I saved them, the version sets stayed where they were.
This is really frustrating!

Only way i can think of is to use a session based component and keep the values stored there and keep resetting them for every change.

Not really. The best you can do is use the Compare Documents function to
identify such changes after the fact.

You can in the Yahoo for Mac app (This has been in Beta for literally years)
It seems that the iChat and Messages Beta Yahoo part is a sort of Bolt-On (it is actually a Plug-in) that does Text Chatting only and not much else (it can go Invisible)
It seems it lacks some other functions that the Yahoo for Mac App has such as blocking people.

I often see songs I would like to purchase but not at the time I see them and would like to compile a list which I can then add to and purchase at a later stage. Is there any way of doing this within I Tunes or do I have to have loads of stickies on my desktop!

Just create a playlist entitled "wish list". You can drag unpurchased tunes into there and buy them when you want. Note however, that racks don't always stay in the iTMS forever.
