Is there any way to revert back to the old Active X based Datasheet view?

Hello,
Is there a setting I can check to use the old Active X based Datasheet view from 2010? If not, then is there a way to have the new 2013 Datasheet view display more than 30 items per line? I clicked display all in the view settings and it displays 30
items and gives me a little arrow at the bottom to get to the next set of 30. My list has close to 800 items and I want to edit them on one page without having to scroll to other pages. Its more user friendly that way

No way I know of.
But you can edit the view and set the item limit to a large number. One of my lists has 672 items and I can display them all in a single Quick Edit view.

  • HT1399 I just downloaded the newest version of itunes, and when I connect my ipod nano (3rd gen), I can no longer see my playlists (on the left hand side). I hate the new format...any way to revert back to the old one?

I just downloaded the newest versionof itunes. Now when I plug in my ipod, I can no longer see my playlists (listed on the left hand side). The new format is very confusing! How do I drag and drop songs into specific playlists I have?  Is there a way to revert back to the old itunes?

I had the same question. Someone answered perfectly here post https://discussions.apple.com/message/20575126#20575126
The answer was click View > Show sidebar. Devices and playlists will display in the left sidebar once again.

  • Is there a way to revert back to the old version of Cloud

I installed Mountain Lion on my laptop to try it out before installing it on my Mac Pro. I didn't like it so I decided to leave the Mac Pro alone. Problem is, it installed the new version of Cloud and now I can't sync my Mac Pro. Now my laptop is broken. Is there a way to change back to the Cloud version that is recognized by Snow Leopard?

If you mean MobileMe, no.  That's been closed since last July and was replaced with iCloud, which requires OS X Lion or higher.

  • Is there any way to revert back to my old interface?

I installed ios7 this morning and I can't stand the new interface.  And no, it's not because I'm resistant to change or just haven't gotten used to it- I genuinely despise it.  It looks like something designed by a 10 year old preparing for a career as a clown.
I'm sure the answer to this is "no", but I'm gonna ask it anyway- is there any way to change the look of the interface?  some sort of setting that allows me to pick a different theme?

thanks... and that's a shame.  I particularly don't like the new calendar.  the old calendar had a preview pane at the bottom of the screen so you could you click on a day and see the calendar items, while still having the entire month in the view.  the new calendar functionality is difficult to use without that feature.  I didn't see a preference allowing one to show a preview pane.  of all the things I'm finding that I don't like about the new OS, this is probably the biggest.
are there any preferences or settings I can use to change the viewing options in calendar?

  • After downloading LION is there any way to go back to the old operating system?

or once you get lion, there is no going back?
Any way to system recover my mac like you can on a pc? and get all my stuff back if something is lost?
    thanks!

I'm unclear on what you're asking.  If you're looking for a way to downgrade, that's not an easy process.  If you didn't make a full system backup just before upgrading, you have to erase the hard drive, reinstall your old OS and then use the setup assistant to import data from some backup.
If you're just curious how to handle things if the hard drive dies and the system needs reinstalling, note that you can create a Mac OS X install disk from the Lion installer.  If you no longer have a copy of the installer (which self-deletes after installing), hold down option and click Purchased in the App Store, then click Install next to Lion.  Then just quit the installer once it downloads, since you're already running Lion.
You can also boot into the recovery partition by holding down command+R while starting up.  That'll let you repair or reinstall, but obviously won't work if the entire hard drive dies.
As to getting your stuff back...  you're responsible for backing up.  You need to keep a minimum of two good backups on separate media.  Time Machine works well for one of those, something like Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper works will for others.

  • Is there a way to revert back to the old OS?

I got a iPod Touch last week and it was able to connect to my home wireless and work wireless network just fine. I then downloaded the 3.0 OS and it will still connect to my home wireless [Belkin G+ Wireless] BUT only if I'm in close proximity [like 10 ft], but it won't connect to my work wireless [Cisco] at all. I know there are a few posts on the non-connecting issue, but I want to know how do I get my touch back to the software it was shipped to me with...I think it's the 2.2?
Another question, if you buy your touch from another retailer [like Best Buy or Amazon] can you still take it into the Apple store if you need it repaired?
    Thanks to all who reply!

Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple. SOmetimes and iOS update does break compatibility.
Have you went to Chrysler's support site?
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Resetting the car system
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Is there a way to revert back to the old 'New Tab' button?

I would like to be able to place a 'New Tab' button right next to (or on) the current active tab like previous versions allowed.
I believe even pre-RC versions of Firefox 4.0 did this, now I can't do this after updating to the latest version.
(admittedly this was awhile ago now, but I figured I would try to figure it out)

That new tab button should appear immediately to the right of the last tab.
You can try to use Restore Default set in the Customize window to see if that brings back that button in the default location.
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"

  • Is there any way to go back to the old charger design?

I really don't like the new charger design that takes a horizontal space and block the Network port and one of the USB port on my MacBook 13" !!! and if I have to use those port I need to remove my plastic case! This is really annoying!

    What Nick Baldwin has suggested:
The new shape discourages yanking on the cable to unplug it -  a bad habit that too many people have.

  • Ok, so while we all wait for ever, is there a way to revert back to the previous os and data?

Ok, so while we all wait for ever, is there a way to revert back to the previous os and data?  I could wait a week for this mess to get worked out and I need my telephone. problem is I'm stuck in the loop too.  will not connect and there I have a brick.  sort of a shoot yourself in the foot process if you have a wiped phone previous to updating it.  useless
anyone know how to revert?  Verizon btw, had 4.2.10, tried for ios 5, tried for the gold, no win
    Thx

I'm seriously thinking of downgrading back to Mavericks for one very specific reason - the Mail app. As a long-time Mail user, I've always had the Address Panel open down the left side of the Mail app, selected from the Window/Address Panel menu item. It showed a simple list of all contacts, or groups, and only the email address(es) associated with each one. Could select a group then click BCC or TO: or whatever.  Could also select multiple addresses and pop them into the CC: list or wherever you liked. And within a Group (eg Work) could do multiple select, and also choose which email address to use for those who have more than one (eg work vs personal).
But - Apple seems to have removed it in Yosemite. The Mail app has NO WAY - at least that I can find - to access a simple list of contacts and email addresses from within the Mail app. What an absolutely stupid move, unless it's just me being dense and can't find it!
If anyone can point me to where or how to show that Address Panel in the Mail app, I'd be most grateful. Having Contacts app open all the time just doesn't cut it either, apart from not enough screen real estate. Contacts won't show you a simple list of people and email addresses like the Address Panel in Mail did. It shows you the full details, one at a time, for each contact. Which is absolutely NO good if I have to send out emails to 50 work colleagues, for example.
Why does Apple DO stuff like this? Like removing the sidebar in iTunes, for another example?
If I can't find an Address Panel for Mail, I'm going back to Mavericks.  Anyone got any clues?

  • They changed the way we see our appointments. That's awful! Is there a way to chnage back to the "old" way when you could see all your appointments at a glance????

They changed the way we see our appointments. That's awful! Is there a way to chnage back to the "old" way when you could see all your appointments at a glance????

Maybe I'm fool, but how I get the "day view"? I have three options on the top line, an icon that seems a computer (a square and two lines), a magnifying glass to search a especific item and a "plus" to add appointments. The "day view" isn't any more there - that's the point!!! Using the first icon a get the full month-that uses 2/3 of the screen- and two lines of appointments...To see the rest I have to slide up and down the two lines taking care to not touch the month...

  • Is there a way to switch back to the old color scheme for the keypad? The new black-on-white color scheme is more difficult to see and use for the visually impaired.

Is there a way to switch back to the old color scheme for the keypad? After upgrading to ios 6, the keypad switched to a black-on-white color scheme.  I have a severe visual impairment and found the previous white-on-black color scheme much easier to see and use.
The inverted colors option doesn’t make things look all that better.    My dad, who does not have any serious vision problems, has put off upgrading his iphone because of the color scheme changes.

I have exactly the same concern. It seems it would be a simple fix for Apple to allow users to turn off the camera (and even the mic) while keeping FaceTime open -- especially now that it turns out FaceTime must remain open in order to send and receive iPhone calls on a Mac.
I like to think this new functionality of FaceTime will be baked into a future release of Yosemite, as the current setup has that not-quite-finished feel of a work in progress. In the meantime, there's nothing like a little piece of Post-It stuck over the camera to keep the NSA from watching your face as you type a post to the Apple Support Communities.

Is there a way to go back to the old calendar system rather than the ios7 calendar?  The ios7 calendar in the iphone does not allow one to see the exact time of appointments in the month mode, it is not user friendly.  It's lost its flexibility.  How can I go back to the old operating system?

I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums.

  • Is there a way to go back to the old view?

I'm not crazy about the new itunes 11 view. Is there a way to go back to the standard iTunes 10 view?

Not really, the album artwork previes is no more, but you can do the following:
Ctrl + / brings back the status bar
Ctrl + s brings back the Side Bar
Other handy shortcut is Ctrl + Shift + B it will bring back the column browser.
All these keys are under the View menu option .
To show the Menu bar, in the upper left corner of iTunes select the "Show Menu Bar" on the flyout window

  • Any way to get back to the old iPod view in iTunes 7?

I'd prefer it if when I connected my iPod that iTunes acted the way it did before iTunes 7 -- ie, iPod shows up in Source list, and the list of music on the iPod is displayed in Browse view.
With iTunes 7 each time I connect my iPod I get the iPod summary screen, and I have to click on the iPod music list, and then click on the Browse button in the lower right to get the view I want.
Is there any way to set iTunes to open to the Browse view by default? It's annoying to go through that summary screen every time. I wish it would just remember the view the last time I had the iPod connected.
Sorry if this question has been asked and answered before. I searched but couldn't find a mention of it.
    thanks

I would also like to know how to get rid of ugly *** white background. It ****** me off every time I have to look at it. There is nothing that I see here as being an improvement over the last itunes.
