Is there any way to save data(pictures and videos) on a iPhone 3GS with no backup and the battery needs replaced?

I have an iPhone 3GS, the battery is dead and needs replaced. Is there any way to have the battery replaced and save all the photos and videos that are very important of family and friends that are irreplaceable on it? There has been no back up done on the phone that I know of. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have to think you have tried operating the iPhone with the charging cable plugged into a charger and outlet or USB.  It is likely you have tried this and it failed to operate.  Have you tried a Reset on the iPhone to see if that will cause the battery to function ling enough to do an iCloud backup or iTunes backup?

  • Is there any way to save data from a broken Iphone that still turns on but computer wont recognise it?

My iphone 4 was thrown at the floor and smashed. It charges still, and switches between showing the apple logo on screen, to blank, and then sometimes to the initial start up screen where it asks me to connect it to itunes. When plugged into the computer however the computer doesn't show it in Devices, and it doesn't appear in Itunes. I am wondering if there are any options to try and get all my photos and contacts off it in particular.  I am not sure if itunes backed up the data when i updated the phone previously... Thank you so much for any help, i appreciate it so much!

If a repairer was too look at it and they are not with Apple, you would void your warranty entirely.
To check previous backups, go into Edit>Preferences>Devices on Windows, and iTunes>Preferences>Devices for Mac, that will show a list of backups

  • My contacts are organized in different groups. An iPhone trade show app (Vinexpo) displays exhibitors infos and allows to create new contacts. Is there any way to save a new contact in a specified group instead of the contacts root? Thks in advance

My contacts on my iPhone are organized in different groups. I have downloaded a trade show app which gives infos on the exhibitors of the show. It offers to create new contacts from these info. Is there any way to save these new contacts in a specified group instead of putting them into the contacts root, where they are mixed with all the old ones? By the way, can we create a new contacts group directly from the IPhone, without having to go through the sync process with the PC?
    Thanks a lot in advance

Sorry, I forgot to bookmark the thread where the app was mentioned, but searching for "group" or "contacts" should bring a few results in the AppStore.

  • One of the folders on my external hard drive has transformed into a unix executable file and I can no longer access my files. Is there any way to save the data?

One of the folders on my external hard drive has transformed into a unix executable file and I can no longer access my files. Is there any way to save the data?

Wow, have seen Files do that, but a whole Folder as I recall!
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)

  • I just got a new macbook. Is there any way I can transfer pictures or music to this new mac from my old one?

I just got a new macbook. Is there any way I can transfer pictures or music to this new mac from my old one?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
There are different ways to transfer your data from another Mac, but as you just want to transfer pictures and music, the best way is to use an external drive. You can also connect them with a Thunderbolt or FireWire cable, but you need specific Macs to do it, so I prefer the external drive method.
You just have to get an external drive and plug it to the old Mac. Then, open Finder, navigate to the folders with your pictures and music, and drag them to the external drive in the Finder sidebar, under "Devices".
Then, connect the external drive to the new Mac and you will see the external drive in the Finder sidebar after opening a Finder window, so choose it. Then, just copy the pictures and music to the folder you want, for example, Music or Pictures

  • Is there any way to save a customized toolbar layout?

Is there any way to save a customized toolbar layout?

Printing the layout helps, I can pretty much do it from memory..
Once you have '''freshly generated the layout''' you want
    # Open your profile folder by typing about:support int the location bar (or Help > Troubleshooting information...)
    # Click on Open containing folder
    # use File > Exit or "Firefox" button > Exit to get out of Firefox (Not the "X" in upper right corner as that just closes the Window)
    # in your profile f older select localstore.rdf and copy ("Ctrl+C") then paste it aback to make a copy, repeat to create at least one more copy, The original and "localstore - Copy.rdf " and "localstore - Copy (2).rdf" will all be the same, about 4KB to start with. (not 18 KB not 76 KB)
    # bring Firefox back up.
''Freshly generated ''means rename or delete the original localstore.rdf while Firefox is down, restart Firefox and customize your toolbars as you want them.
If you have a problem with a corrupt localstore.rdf bring Firefox down and in your profile directory delete or rename the localstore.rd then rename a copy to localstore.rdf
Reference: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Corrupt_localstore.rdf see references to backup copy, you should, of course, be taking periodic backups of all your personal data, and for Firefox that includes your profile.

I purchased some movies off iTunes from my account (but from my father IPad) to download as a gift,
but didn't realize he can not view if not logged in with my account.
Is there any way to save directly to the IPad (regardless of account) so he can view?
    Or transfer to his account?
Or is any was to cancel the recent purchase if can not transfer as I will not watch these myself?

sure pretty simple.  make a backup of your current settings
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766?viewlocale=en_US
then restore device from old backup you need pics off of
    then import pics to computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
you may need to save pics to camera roll first
then restore the new backup and sync pics back to phone via itunes

  • Is there any way to recover data from a cleared soft partition?

Is there any way to recover data from a cleared soft partition? <eom>

You could try using 'metarecover'. I don't know if that works after a metaclear, but it's the only think that I could think to try.
I think you could brute-force search for UFS filesystems within the underlying storage, but that's pretty tedious.

  • Is there any way to restore data truncated with TRUNCATE query in Oracle9i

Hi, Is there any way to restore data truncated with TRUNCATE query in Oracle9i DB...
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi,
you can flash back DML queries like insert, update
but it is not possible for some DDL like truncate, alter, and and drop columns etc that change structure of table.
    e.g.
    SQL> select * from t2;
    C1
    3
    SQL> select dbms_flashback.get_system_change_number from dual;
    GET_SYSTEM_CHANGE_NUMBER
    496378
    SQL> truncate table t2;
    Table truncated.
    SQL> select * from t2 as of scn(496378);
    select * from t2 as of scn(496378)
    ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01466: unable to read data - table definition has changed

  • I'd like to print an 8x12 and cut it in half to make two 4x12 panorama type pictures.  Is there any way to combine two pictures (each cropped to 4x12) into one frame so I can print out the 8x12 and trim it after printing?

I'd like to print an 8x12 and cut it in half to make two 4x12 panorama type pictures.  Is there any way to combine two pictures (each cropped to 4x12) into one frame so I can print out the 8x12 and trim it after printing?

To clarify, I want to be able to make a flie I can take to a photo printing place (not for my own printer) so they can print it and I crop it.  The place I used to print at used to print an 8"x12" for the same price as 8"x10" (now they may only do 8x10 and I would need to keep the ratio the same so it would be two 3.3"x10" pics on an 8x10").  Any help is veryappreciated!

  • Is there any way to save an iphone with water damage?

Is there any way to save an iphone 5 with water damage? I know older phones you could some times use rice to dry it out.

1, Place in ziplock bag with dry raw white rice for a week.
2, When that doesn't work take to Apple and purchase out of warranty replacement.
3, If you have already turned on the power the damage is done so just proceed to step 2.
