Is there anyone here who is willing to provide private assistance on helping me determine who and how my phone has been hacked- or remote user has access to which I did note allow? I don't want to post all of my info !

Will do that tomorrow - but the problem is- he has had access to my iCloud since I got an iPhone - we live together - have for a long time he set it up for me - I never realized there was a possibility he could possibly hack my phone entirely through that- and im still not sure - as answers here are vague- I don't have a problem with him viewing any info there- I never set up much more than contacts and find my iPhone which - who cares if he looks where I am - I don't lie about that- but until I started having multiple persistent problems with my phone - and finding many locked files on his Mac and Cydia on his iPad -( after hours of digging) - I never had a clue to think maybe he hacked my phone - I started really researching the concept and found vuze BitTorrent VMware strange wifi numbers - different locations on Mac - apple script and text edit files - pdf files that made no sense- stuffit - frankly i dont know what any o it really means- the problem is - I don't think going to apple tomorrow having them fix it - and not knowing if the problem is here at home is going to help this situation -if he is hacking / remote using - my phone on the level I think he has - I clearly can't figure it out with the knowledge I have in regards to this software - never knew he was into it - and frankly I think If its true its pretty easy for him to do again as we share everything here - can apple look at the information I have and really answer this question or do I need to find someone who will be able to understand the data ( im sure apple will -but who wants their product hack able) and all I've heard is its impossible to hack an apple phone with out jail breaking it - which from what I've looked at the last month I'm not sure about that if you share all your devices constantly. I would just like a definitive yes or no - and before I wipe it clean - it's kind of a serious thing.

I need to upgrade my phone. But my husband and I somehow ended up sharing our contacts and calendar. So I'm afraid if I wipe my phone, his phone will get wiped, as well. How do I make sure that he doesn't lose all his info when I clear my phone out?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

How can I stop i-Tunes from downloading songs on my device which I did not order and which I then have to delete because I do not want it?
Does swiping/dragging across the tracks from right-to-left (or possibly left-to-right depending upon the iOS version) in the Downloads tab in the iTunes store app stop them downloading ?

i was in the middle of updating my ipad and of course the battery died, the computer doesnt charge up the ipad while plugged in (very stupid) and now it wants to restore i don't want to lose all my trophies in the games that ive played if i do a restore....can anyone help me
If you backed up the iPad before you tried to update, you can restore the iOS and then restore from the backup. If you don't have a backup, there is nothing that you can do about it now.
You will have to restore the iPad in order to make it operational again and you will lose all of your data. If you don't sync with iTunes and cannot recover your media again that way, you can download most purchased content again for free as long as you use the same Apple ID. -
My husband has a ton of songs in iTunes that I don't want on my iPod nano. Is there a way to set up a separate account on the same computer in iTunes? Do I have to un-tick all of his songs (would take forever!! And then he would have to tick them again)....when we sync our iPods?
No. Its not possible.
Alternatively, create another user account in your computer. Install iTunes in that account with the library you wish to sync. -
My original computer that has my itunes account on it no longer works. I am trying to import my phones itunes settings into my new computer and it is not letting me and I don't want to loose all my photos and music, what do I do?
It does not magically appear in a new place. It will only be where you put it.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one. -
I just got an iPad 2 and have not yet synced to my computer. I don't want to have all the duplicate songs in my iTunes. How do I get rid of duplicates?
You don't say whether you are on PC or Mac. For Mac there are these two programs which might help (I havn't tried either) :

There are probably similar programs for PCs, but I don't know what they are. On a PC you can hold the shift key and do File > Display Exact Duplicates (without the shift they may not be exact matches) - if one of each duplicate pair has the same date added then you can sort by that and then delete those with (or without) that date. -

I bought a mac 2 days ago and transferred some files on there using migration assist which I did not want to. How do I restore my imac to factory settings so I can start again?
Look in /Users folder. You can go to System Preferences > Users & Groups, open the lock and "-" delete the account it created.
This is a problem whenever you use migration assistant after the initial install. The proper way to run Migration Assistant is in Setup Assistant when you first boot your Mac. I don't know why Apple isn't clearer about this issue. -
After upgrade, attempted to open iPhoto to upload pictures from camera. Message says need to upgrade library and that after upgrade previous library will be unreadable. In holding pattern for now-don't want to lose all 4K prev pictures in iphoto library. Anyone have same or similar problem?
gotitans, I think you have an entirely different problem than we are discussing in this thread.
You should open your own thread, and you should describe your problems in more detail. For example, what type of Mac do you have, what operating system does it run, what version of iPhoto did you have running before the upgrade,and just what sort of upgrade did you do (hardware, operating system, iPhoto, something else)?
My best guess from just that message is that you did a hardware upgrade, and your version of iPhoto is too old to run on the new hardware.
ntgerh64, it would probably be good if you gave us the same details I asked of gotitans. I was assuming you were talking about upgrading OS X to Mavericks and then iPhoto to 9.5 or 9.5.1. -

The minimum version required for Viber is 3.1, though it is always important to stay up to date. Why is it that you do not want to download the latest version?
