Is there anything I can do to solve this problem?!
Hi everyone,
I bought a brand new 64GB iPad 3G 2 days ago and when I turned it on, the screen that has the usb cord pointing to iTunes showed up - all well and fine. I plugged it into my Macbook using the usb that came with it, but iTunes didn't respond and the iPad didn't even react - the battery icon didn't have a charge symbol over it.
I tried restarting my computer, reinstalling the latest version of iTunes, resetting the iPad, trying to put it into recovery mode in the hope that iTunes would detect it (which it didn't), and even just charging it from the wall mount (which didn't work). I also tried it on my friend's Macbook, and with different apple usb cables - nothing! Everytime I turn my iPad on I get that same initial screen which tells me to plug it into iTunes!
Has anyone had this problem before? If so, how did you fix it?
What do you guys think I should do? I'm starting to think it's a hardware problem, specifically the 30-pin connector. Aaagh it's so frustrating to finally have my iPad in my hands and I haven't even been able to activate it.

Since your iPad is so new I would suggest-
If you bought it at an Apple Store, there is a 14 day return policy. Take the receipt, iPad, the box and what came in the box to the store and ask to speak with a manager and show him/her the problem and nicely ask to return the unit and purchase a new one.
Before going to the store make a Genius Bar appointment (http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar) and arrive at the store early and proceed with the first step I explained. The reason I suggest making an appointment is because the store may not have the 64GB 3G in stock to sell/exchange. But the Genius Bar may have it in stock to replace under warranty. So, if the manager explains that there are none in stock, then explain you have a Genius Bar appointment any way. If the manager says they do have them in stock to sell then explain you need to cancel your reservation.
If you can't or don't want to visit an Apple Store. Then call 1-800-MY-APPLE and speak with the customer service department.

You may need to hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until the apple logo appears. Or anther thing you can try is draining the battery until the battery is dead. That's what i tried and worked. You may need to do those things more than 2 times. OH anther thing is you can try connecting you ipod to your computer and see if it appears on itunes. If those don't work you can send it to apple. So that's what helped me I hope I answered your question.

Is there anything i can do to fix this problem?
So i downloaded windows 7 onto my 2011 macbook pro and everything was working fine until i tried to open a program and it said i didn't have enough free disk space to run this program. i quit all of the problems i could on task manager and now when i go back to my homescreen i have nothing there,no start screen, no programs on my desktop all i can see is my screen saver is there anything i can do to fix this problem of do i need to reinstall windows?
I don't think your use of " I downloaded Windows 7 " is being accurate.
You have to burn the ISO and INSTALL Windows, create a partition and all the rest.
And Windows 7 should have 40-60GB at least.
How large a partition did you create when you set it up? how much is free now?
F8 - safe boot to get in and you don't just need to quit but remove cache, temp, programs and more -
Go To %TEMP% and delete everything
uninstall what you don't need
Download and run CCleaner 3.20
Go to Disk C Properties : Disk Cleanup: System Files and remove everything there
You can free up 4GB probably or more just from that.
You should have 10GB or more free space for Windows
chkdsk
Paragon Camptune $20 can backup Windows image and resize HFS and NTFS partitions
You should have backup or more of Mac HFS already - TimeMachine and say bootable drive partition on external drive.
Real low space can prevent login to your account on startup. -

Hello! I bought an iPod touch 3rd gen at a pawn shop and when i tried to set it up, it would not connect to my iTunes OR Wifi so that I could finish set up. Is there anything I can do to fix this before i take it back and get my money back?

I just upgraded to OS X Lion and now I can't open the application Adobe ImageReady CS because PowerPC applications are no longer supported. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
There is no fix. It simply means that the software is outdated. Adobe would need to release a newer non-PPC version that supports Lion. They may have done that already, I don't know.

If this started happening without your having made any changes and without a warning of low disk space, then it's likely that the startup drive, or some other hardware component, is failing. Back up all data immediately, then run Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test.
Even if the test is negative, you should make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested more thoroughly. -
I purchased illustrator 8.0 on ebay and apparently it is not compatible with windows 7. Is there anything I can do to use this program?

Yes.
You may need to run the computer in XP mode to install it (you may try in normal mode first). Here is how:

Once installed, you should be able to get it to run with the PC in normal mode as follows (first run):
1) RightClick the shortcut;
2) Click Properties;
3) Click Compatibility;
4) Tick Run this program in Compatibility mode for, then select XP in the dropdown list;
5) Start AI8.
After that, you can just DoubleClick the shortcut.
Hopefully, you bought it legally (with a genuine, non registered serial number, or had a licence transfer). -
I am having some issues getting OS X to mount the hard drive from my old laptop (Windows 7). Is there anything I can do to mount this?
It is not showing on the Desktop or the left colomn of Finder (Set to do both in Finder Prefernces) and is not showing up under the Disk application under Utilities (Sorry can't remember the name off the top of my head!)cjz0r wrote:

You should be able to read NTFS formatted drives, just not write to them. For that matter, USB Flash drives generally come formatted NTFS for use with PC's and they have to be able to mount on a Mac in order to reformat them for Mac use. The Windows utilities supplied on those Flash drives will be deleted when the drive is reformatted for Mac use so I routinely copy them to the Mac desktop first before reformatting.

1. Make sure the SIM card is enabled for data.
2. Make sure you are using the correct APN settings, in Settings - Cellular Data. -

Every time I close my Macbook Air and then go to use it again. My wifi is not connected, I have to go to the network diagnostics and basically find my network and reconnect every time. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
worksafe's link with the KeyChain fix is good.
This usually happens when KeyChain has two entries for the same WiFi network.
If repair did not work you can follow the manual steps:
Disconnect WiFi
Open KeyChain from Applications / Utilities and find your WiFi network entry(ies) and delete all of them.
Connect to your WiFi again. -
Since I upgraded to Mavericks, every time I create a multicam clip on FCPX, random files(that were used to make the multicam clip) become modified and unusable(in High Quality). Is there anything I can do to prevent this?
I've tried transcoding, creating proxy media, creating optimized media, plus I've tried none of the above. Thing is, no matter what I do, it still happens(to random files) "after" I make the multicam clip. Is there a setting or something that was accidentally enabled by me or the upgrade?
BTW: Everything seems to work fine when 'playback' is set to proxy. The problem is when I'm ready to export and switch 'playback' to High Quality.I had this same issue! But fixed it by going into the finder, finding the event, and delted the files out of the "High Quality Media." My project then refreshed to normal and no red modified file slides. The cool part: I din't even shut fcpx down to mess with the files in the finder. It all worked like a charm.
