My iPad mini says to connect to iTunes, and I try to restore it, but after its done extracting a message comes up saying that device is not found, is there anyway i can fix this? I don't care if i don't get my stuff back, i just want my iPad restored to its starting settings.

If everything else that you try fails, I would try using another computer. Since you don't care about saving any data, any computer that is running the latest version of iTunes might be able to restore the iPad. You could make an appointment at an Apple Store Genius Bar and they can do it for you.
If that isn't feasible for you, try using a different cable, a different USB port. reboot the computer, and reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Then try again.

  • When i charge my ipod it runs out of battery in about an hour. Icharged overnight and did the same thing is there anyway i can fix this?

When I charge my Ipod it runs out of battery in 40 minutes. I charged overnight and lasted a little over an hour. How can I solve this problem. My Ipod is still under warranty.

You can try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restorefrom backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new Pod
If still problem then time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.  If defective, yoand not abouses, you hould walk out with a replacement.

  • My IPhone5 shuts down apps immediately after opening. Is there anyway I can fix this

It happens on all the apps or few apps? It happens on default apps or third party apps?

  • HT201415 My iphone has the 3G sign at the top but it if I go on the Internet (using 3G) it says that I'm not enabled to use cellular data? Is there anyway I can fix this! ASAP ! Thanks x

Yesterday I changed my password for my iphone 4 and forgot it so I had to reset setting in iTunes but now my iphone thinks it is my ipod and although the 3G sin is showing, whenever I try to use 3G, it comes up with "cellular data is not enabled on this device" not sure what to do? Hope someone can help me! Thanks so much!! Xx

Try a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, see if that will work. You say it thinks it is your iPod, did you restore the phone to a backup from the iPod? The reset should work.

  • I have the 5th Gen ipod and I went to the triple click under accessability and now it will not let me go back. Is there anyway I can fix this?

my ipod will not function very well with this

Triple click the home button and try going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn it off off. You may have to use three fingers to scroll the screen to get there. If problems see:
iPhone: Configuring accessibility features (including VoiceOver and Zoom)
Next restore from backup if you have not backed up after turning it initially on.
Last, restore to factory settings/new iPod

  • My IPhone is now stuck on the loading screen and keeps blinking. I dont know if this is because of the new update but is there anyway I can fix it?

    Yes can someone please HELP!!

Try plugging it up to your computer and launching iTunes and either resetting it to factory settings or resetting to last sync. Hopefully it just noticing it's plugged up to iTunes will fix it. This happened to my friend once and all she had to do was plug it into her computer and that fixed it.

  • Is there anyway I can fix my iPhone 4's unresponsive sleep button?

A couple of months ago I was using my iPhone in my room normally. I locked it and put it on my bedside table, when I went back to it I found that my sleep button was very hard to press. I figured it might be temporary and have waited until now. It is now completely unresponsive and I can no longer press it at all. Both of the water damage indicators are white from what I can see and the actual device has very minimal damage from regular use.

Bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.  If there's a hardware defect found, you will be offered a replacement unit--free of charge if within your warranty period, $149 if not.

  • I have a MacBookPro1,1 running mac os x 10.6.8. It keeps freezing whenever i use it, and often takes 5 or more attempts to turn on. It just stays at the grey apple screen, causing me to force shut down. Is there anyway i can fix this?

When i am using the mac. often it will suddenly freeze, only the coloured loading wheel still moving. I will leave it for hours to unfreeze but nothing. The only remedy is to turn it off by the button. Moreover, sometimes when i turn it on it gets stuck at the grey apple screen and i have to turn it off by the button and on again. This can happen up to 10 times until it turns on! What can i do?

Shut down your computer and disconnect all peripherals (keyboard & mouse if pertinent) from your computer.  Now reboot.
If the Mac starts up normally, shut it down again and then plug in one of the peripherals (keyboard or mouse first) and start up your computer again.  If it does so successfully repeat the process, adding one peripheral at a time until your Mac acts up.  At that point, disconnect the last peripheral you added, reboot your Mac and search the peripheral vendor's website for an updated driver.
If no driver exists or the problem remain after installing the new driver, try a different cable or a different port on your Mac.
If none of the above works, again disconnect all peripherals from your Mac, hold down the "shift" key to start up in "Safe Boot" mode.
If the Mac starts up correctly, restart without pressing the "shift" key.
If your computer still does not start up properly, shut it down and restart it while holding down the Apple+Option-P-R keys; keep holding "all 4 keys" down until you hear the startup sound "twice."
If none of the above work Disconnect all peripherals from your computer. Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
    Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
    Select Disk Utility.
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
    Click Repair Disk.
(If Disk Utility cannot repair, you will need a stronger utility (3rd party) - Diskwarrior or Techtool PRO)
    Restart your computer when done.
Repair permissions after you reach the desktop-http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25751 and restart your computer.
If you are able to reach your desktop take note of how large your hard drive is and how much hard drive space do you have left?
    Remove any 3rd party ram.
Reinstall Snow Leopard - This will install a "fresh" copy of Snow Leopard without archiving old system files but leaves the rest of your files in place.
If your computer is still under warranty or you have Apple Care, take full advantage of it by letting tech support deal with your problems.  It's what you're paying them for.
Out of warranty - take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP.  Whichever is more convenient for you.

  • I cant charge my ipod as my connect at the bottom has broke is there anyway i can fix it? Thanks

I am missing a bit to my charger on ipod so i cant charge it please someone help!!!!!!!

Are you saying that some of the pins are broken on the dock connector port of your iPod?  If that is the case, you'll need to either have your iPod serviced or replaced.  Nothing else you can really do.

  • One last question, Does any know if they can fix the home button for a ipod touch 5? Because mines broke :/

    Anyone :\ ?

If you want it fixed under your warranty you make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store and they will replace the iPod. Make sure you backup before you go.

  • HT4623 When I try to download my iOS 7 it says there was a problem. My home button doesn't work and neither does my safari.

I haven't updated this phone in a long timeworn I do it it says error

If the screen and iPod does not show any life then letting the batter drain will not do anything.
If you tried another cable and tried ReBoot on another computer and still problem then your iPod has to be repaired/replaced

  • I bought iphone 4 from friend and he said he had dropped it in sweet tea at the top and it moved down to home button and now home button don't work how can i fix it? this happend long ago

ok i bought an iphone 4 from a friend he told me the story about it saying he had a glass of sweet tea with a little bit left, and he had dropped the phone in there upside down and it completely screwed up the phone and it was freaking out. after a while he said it all went away as if nothing happened but now the home button doesn't work so is there a way to fix the home button without taking it apart or sending it somewhere to get fixed?
