Bluetooth is supported for stereo headsets/speakers, handsfree telephone devices/headsets, some keyboards, some peer-to-peer apps from the app store, and tethering where provided by the carrier.
Other than this, it will not connect to any computer/phone/device.

I imagine Keynote Remote uses Audio/Video Remote Control Profile which should be available on both your iPhone and iPad.
I think you're saying that since you got the new iPhone 5, these two things occur:
1. Your iPhone cannot discover your iPad
2. Your iPad cannot discover your iPhone.
If that's true, when you turn on Bluetooth on each of the devices, you might see old devices listed that are no longer used. If you do, I suggest clicking the white arrow to the right of such devices and clicking "Forget this device".

Several years ago at a Macworld Steve Jobs demoed a Sony/Erickson cell phone that interacted with an Apple laptop. What was pretty cool was his ability to have the cell phone interact with the laptop's address book, show a picture of the caller, and then actually take the call via the laptop.
I don't know with all the MobileMe, synching features and the iPhone's caller picture pop up maybe this is to old of a feature to pursue? However, it would be neat not to have to dig the iPhone out of the briefcase or pocket and take a call via the laptop.

Firfox 4 freezes for 1-2 minutes when loading sites with twitter or other social media content like MSNBC and other news sites.

Firefox locks up for a minute or two when loading pages on popular news websites like MSNBC,COM. When this happens the bottom status typically ready something about a link to twitter.
I do not use twitter and it is likely the company firewall blocks it if it uses any non-typical port.
I had to download the old version of the browser due to this problem.

Has anyone gotten back to you on this? I am experiencing the same problem on two different systems since release 4.1.2_03 and now have tried _05 with no luck.

Unfortuantely, you can only track the phone if you had set up iCloud and enabled Find My iPhone on it before it was lost or stolen. I don't believe there is anything that Apple can do to locate your phone either.

Many programs will allow you to get your music off your ipod/ipad and onto a computer so it can be resynced. Phoneview (Mac) and transpod (PC) are two examples.

Not via Bluetooth. You can connect over Wi-Fi, but this needs to be configured when the device is connected with a cable.

Because the iPod does not have the necessary BT profiles to do that. You can pair with another iOS device via BT via some apps that for peer-to-peer gaming.
You can also use apps for limited file transfer between iOS devices like this app:

Without apps you can pair to newer iPhones to share there interent connection if you have subscribed for sharing with your carrier

Try forcing the phone into recovery mode. Disable ALL anti-virus & firewalls first.
Turn your phone off, then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option of restoring from backup or as a new device.
