Is there anyway to downgrade leopard?

Hello, I have recently purchased a new MacPro that shipped with Leopard. It has been upgraded to 10.5.4 and apparently the Mac Pro is an "Early 2008" model (2 x 2.8 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Xeon).
I have had huge compatibility issues when running InDesign CS2 which I need to run as a lot of my clients are very reluctant to upgrade to CS3 (even though I have). The documents involved are very large and complex (books) and so cannot be converted using the back converter in Indesign CS3 without causing major issues.
There is also another MacPro (original) in the studio which came with Tiger, and so I have tried to use these install disks to downgrade, but the computer just will not boot at all. It seems to power up and just keep dying then restarting for as long as the C key is held down?
Is there ANY way that I can install Tiger on this computer as the main OS, or even a side OS (partitioned drive) so as to be able to run CS2.
I have looked at the other topics, and cannot find one that matches my issue.
Thankyou very much to anyone that can help (or have even bothers to read this)
Mike

Macs can't be downgraded to a Mac operating system older than what came on the Mac's original installer discs. That has always been the rule.
If you have plugins that depend on Tiger, get a used or refurbished Mac that is older than October 26, 2007.
Adobe CS2 has more difficulty with Intel Macs than CS3 also because Version Cue doesn't work well on Intel Macs from CS2.

Bing Maps offers a very good maps service with Bird's Eye, a feature similar to Flyover. It's arguably better than Google Maps.

  • Is there anyway to downgrade or reset my iphone 4s from 5.1 to 5.0.1 because of constant errors

Does anyone know how to downgrade a iphone 4s from 5.1 to 5.0.1 on 5.0.1 i had a much better safari connection and my phone didnt just shut off randomly as soon as I updated to 5.1  my phone just restarts, I dont know why and I would like to go back to 5.0.1 My phone has never been jailbroken and I just want the errors to stop I have tried everything from backing it up and restoring to dfu mode restores and nothing fixes the problem

There is no official way to downgrade the iOS. Since all iPhone 4S's are still under warranty, make an appointment at an Apple store.

  • Is there anyway to downgrade from OS Mavericks to OS X?

If I have download it, and I don't like it so can I just some how downgrade it?

Simplest thing would be to get an external hard drive and clone your system before you upgrade.  Then, if you wish to go back to what you had prior to Mavericks, just boot from the external clone drive, and clone it back onto the internal boot drive.

  • Is there anyway to downgrade back to ios5?  I can't take this Maps crap anymore.

It is simply terrible.  Maybe it is time for Android

Couple of good reads about why Google Maps was removed from iOS 6. Again, I hate Apple's Maps program, and never liked the iPhone Google Maps for directions, always used Mapquest. I think Apple jumped the gun on their Map program, probably could have waited to iOS7. Google is trying to play the "we didnt know" and "we dont know why" card, but iOS6 was in beta since early this year, everyone knew. If Google cared that much, they would have an APP being released soon...
    1. Google would not offer voice guided directions;

    2. Apple has to pay Google for Maps,YouTube apps to be installed, providing more revenue to Google than their own mobile OS.

  • I understand the design change to the whole "save as app" tab, but I feel that Save and Quit feature from the previous version of Firefox is much better than this "app tab" feature. Is there anyway for me to have this back?

Restore previous session button available on my Firefox homepage is great, but what I really want is the Save and Quit feature. I have always felt that its one of the best features of Firefox, second only to search address bar directly leading me to the actual page. I read some threads about this, and found the answers very unconvincing. One of the suggested ones was "Pin as app tab" . No, I don't want to pin every tab that I want to visit say, thrice as an app. Second suggestion was, click on the obvious button on the homepage to restore the tabs(this took me quite a while to actually see). Why this change in design? This is identical to Chrome's but its very inferior to what Firefox already had. Is there anyway, without downgrading of course, I can get that feature back?

Okay, I found the answer myself. Going to about:config and setting browser.showQuitWarning to true, restored that option and brought it back. Thanks to anyone who is about to post. If this is false by default, it has got to change.

  • I have a macbook white (Snow leopard), just started using mac, Is there anyway we can use the Iphone Apps( downloaded from ITune) on Mac

I have a macbook white (Snow leopard), just started using mac, Is there anyway we can use the Iphone Apps( downloaded from ITune) on Mac, they are getting saved in Mobile applications and have ipa extension

The operating systems for iOS devices and for Macs are completely different. Applications written for iOS won't run on a Mac no matter what fiddles you try with it. You can sometime extract data by opening the package, but it still won't do you any good. Look in the Mac App Store in your Applications folder to see if there are Mac versions or similar programs (iTunes login required).

  • Is there anyway I can get rid of Lion and get back to Snow Leopard?

Is there anyway I can get rid of Lion and get back to Snow Leopard?

Back to Snow Leopard from Lion install method
Read and print out these instructions, your computer is going to be offline and you wil be cutoff from help until your machine is restored.
Clear the Desktop, Downloads and Trash of anything you wish to keep by placing their files in the respective Documents, Music, Pictures, Movie folders.
Disconnect other drives except the sole backup drive.
Backup ALL your Users folders (Documents, Pictures, Movies, Music etc) manually (drag and drop methods) to a (not TimeMachine) external powered drive (HFS+ journaled formatted in Disk Utility) and disconnect, your going to be wiping the entire boot disk of ALL DATA.
(warning, everything will be gone and not recovered, OS, programs, files, Windows etc all gone.)
Note: You might want to hold c and boot off the 10.6 installer disk and use Disk Utility to format the new blank external drive instead of using OS X Lion if that's hosed. Then reboot into Lion and copy files, may be safer that way.
    Here we go!
Hold c and boot off the 10.6 installer disk that comes with your computer and second screen in just STOP there, don't install OS X yet.
Look at the Utilities Menu for Disk Utility.
On the left is the name of your hard drive maker, click it and Erase (format HFS+ Journaled), give it the same drive name as before, and click Erase...
(note: if you want to "scrub" the drive of old files that haven't been overwritten yet, then use the Security Option > Zero Erase, takes a lot longer)
This should wipe the drive of ALL partitions (GUID, OS X and 10.7 Recovery, Windows if present)
When it's done, quit and install OS X 10.6. Then install all your programs from fresh sources and validate/update.
When you setup a first account, use the same user name as before, this way you can simply drag and drop the content of your previous Users folders from the external drive right back into the new Users folders and everything should work peachy. Links in iTunes to music, playlists and iPhoto links especially.
Update OS X to 10.6.8 using the Combo Update for best results.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
(Note: If your original machine had 10.5 and you want the free iLife that comes with the disks with the computer, then you'll have to install 10.5 first using the same c boot/erase/format methods as above, then update to 10.6 via the disk, then Combo Update 10.6.8)
Final step optional but highly recommended.
A lot of people use a Carbon Copy Clone of their boot drive to a new HFS+Journaled external drive (used only for this purpose) as a "hold the option key" bootable backup in case something goes wrong with their boot drive or need to restore to a previous OS X version..  (in addition to TimeMachine drive for more immediate backups.)
It's not advised to have a Bootable Clone and a TimeMachine partition on the same external drive, as two drives gives hardware protection in case one fails.
