Is there anyway to import dvd video to the computer?about area code?

I was trying to watch a japanese DVD that i bought long time ago with the computer, and the dvd player that was installed on the computer said that the since the area code of the dvd is different, i had to change the player's code to number 2, and i would have only 4 opportunities to change the area code. Is there anyway i could import the video file to the mac so i won't have to put the dvd in and use up my opportunity to change the area code? or is there anyway to increase the number of opportunities to change the area code?
i know that this question is not related to idvd program-.-but couldn't find anyhere to post tis question. thanks!!!!!

Unforunately, your answers are no and no. The only course you have is to change the settings and rip the DVD then change settings back, but you will lesson the opportunities to change. There is no way that I know of to increase the number of times you can change the settings, unless there is a hack somewhere, but this is not the forum to find one. You can burn the ripped DVD through Toast's copy function (if you have a DVD burner, of course) and this will make it region free.
I'm afraid there's no good news here.

i have got the same problem only thing is the albums were never on my macbook just the album covers.

you can re-number files as you import
you may need to a test of a few un-important files
click the re-name file panel >>tick>>template>>click on arrows>>edit and that will take you the customize panel
add image name like "img"
then add numbering I have only used the first one (import)
make sure you add two "00" so they stay in order
should look like img-001
bugga of a number tool imo; bridge is easier/better
you could also rename in windows or bridge or other programs before importing BUT ONLY IF THE FILES HAVE NOT BEEN IN LR ALREADY. Sorry to yell thats important as you most likely know

This is what that error means:

Software lock on file; Not a subscriber [permissions error on file open]
Download and launch BatChmod. Put the videos into a subfolder and drag that folder containing the video files into the Batchmod window. Make sure you are the owner and have R,W, X access as well as the group. Everyone will have R only.
Check the Change ownership and privileges, Unlock and Apply to enclosed boxes and then click on the Apply button. When done try importing the files again.

When I click the center button I only get the diamond that allows me to FF or RW with the track pad and if I click again I get the brightness adjustment but thats it. The ! sign before the song means that the actual song is no longer on your computer and/or iTunes library.

If a restore to factory settings did not resolve the issue, it's a likely indicator of a hardware fault, meaning you'll need to or want to set up an appointment at your local Apple Store/Genius Bar.

If you are trying to send iMessage messages in Messages, your iMessage account should be tied to your Apple ID (same account name and password). If you are having password issues in Messages, you may want to verify that you have the correct password by logging in to your Apple ID directly:

The two user tips both describe a sequence of steps that should get your library from the point where it threatens to wipe data from your device to where it is syncing normally, while recovering as much information as possible. It may still be necessary to wipe and reload the device but this should only take place once all the data that can be recovered has been recovered.
Doing step 1 of 8 and then complaining things aren't the way you want them to be yet strikes me as premature...
Since you appear to have all your media content, and we are discussing an iPod classic, not an iOS device, the main worries are already taken care of. What's left is ratings, playcounts, playlist membership and checked status. Since your device holds only part of your library at best you could only recover the missing data for the content that is on the device using third party tools.
Recreating the previous checked/unchecked status of every track in your library from where you are now may not be that easy. Syncing with selected playlists has many advantages, one of which would have been that you would have a named playlist that could have been retrieved by 3rd party software if you had used this method.
You haven't explained what caused your problem in the first place, but if you have a Previous iTunes Libraries folder holding old copies of your iTunes database (generated with each iTunes update) then it would be possible to restore the most recent of these and then update the library with any changes in your media folder.
BTW Apple doesn't offer free support for this kind of issue with iTunes.

Yes, that is what Bridge Mode is for. Just connect the Time Capsule to a LAN <--> Ethernet port on your "main" router.
