Is there anyway to jump from app directly to store?

Before the terrible reign of the Podcast app, you used to be able to jump directly from a Podcast's list to that specific podcast's download page in the store. Is this feature just completely gone.

This really needs to be fixed and it seems bizarre to me that you'd lose that feature, as it's just how I naturally use podcasts. I tend not to subscribe, I just get new episodes when I feel like listening and this new app really hinders doing that.
Additionally, when searching manually in the podcast store, the search in the podcast store is not that smart, searching for the title of the podcast brings up others I wasn't looking for, so it's a double hassle.

And I thought the whole point of an App Tab was to always have those tabs there no matter what window is open all the time period.
It's a minor complaint but I would really appreciate the option to permanently have them there.

I thought that app tabs would be more persistent, like pinning programs to the taskbar in Windows, but this is not the case.
Instead, once you close a Firefox window, all its tabs and app tabs are lost.
Essentially, this means that the close button in the upper-left corner of a Firefox window is now a "kill all open tabs and loose all App Tabs without warning++ " button. That is not cool.
I realize that "Firefox > Quit Firefox" behaves as intended, but many people use the more obvious red close button instead of the menu to close windows on a Mac. And it is easy to forget that the red button is now also an app-tab-death button. I've lost my app tabs many times to this issue. It is an unforgiving user interface decision which hampers the usability of app tabs. Why should I go through the extra clicks of setting up app tabs if I can loose them so easily?
Ideally, App Tabs could be saved separately from the currently open windows (perhaps create an option to save then to a special Tab Group that opens on startup?). App tabs would be exceedingly useful to me if they weren't so easy to loose.
On that note, saving Tab Groups would also be a useful functionality.
++ You will get a "closing multiple tabs" warning if you have only one window open, and that one window has multiple non-app tabs open, and you have enabled the warning in Preferences. But this too unreliable to help prevent the loss of app tabs.

To download applications from the App Store, you need your Apple ID password, not your administrator account. The password will be saved for some minutes after inserting it once, so you will be able to install as many apps as you want without inserting the Apple ID password

Close all apps in the recents tray completely and reboot iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close ..close them all! Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Can't download anything from App or iTunes store

Well, this is by far the worst update I have ever had, got new iPhone 6 128GB, straight away had major syncing to iTunes on my Mac problems which I am still having, but also another major issue.
After about a day of use, if I go into the App Store or iTunes Store on the phone it won't let me download anything, I press on Free, then Install, and all I get is a swirling icon, it never asks me to enter my password or verify by Touch ID, just keeps on swirling, if I press it again the icon dims, the only way I can fix it is by reseting all settings on the phone but by the early hours it once again will not let me download a thing.
Both previous iPhone 5 when I had it worked and a iPad Air 128GB work with the same account.

Looks like I've discovered a clue to why I can't download from App or iTunes store on the phone after a certain amount of time, I do a reboot with Home and Power button this time when it was failing to download an app and when it came back on the phone chucked a ton of pop up messages at me, to verify with Touch ID, to put my password in, and messages about the fact I'd already downloaded that app, about 10 messages.
Seems like at some point iOS 8 is not bringing up the message to verify the app download when in the store and it's getting stuck in a queue which the reboot is unsticking.

IPhone restored while attempting to update it for the first time through Itunes, is there anyway to get my apps, contacts, and photos back?

I purchased an IPhone back in April but have yet to ever update it using the itunes. Today I installed ITunes64 version 10.5.0.142 and connected my IPhone to my PC. After this I went to the IPhone and clicked the check for updates button. After updating my phone was restored and I had lost all of it's contacts, apps, photos, and everytihng. Is there anyway to recover my stuff?

In the process of updating the iphone,the update process performs a backup of your phone prior to updating the ios software. Connect your phone via usb,if itunes doesn't luanch,then luanch the app manually,on the left side pane of itunes the name of your phone will be listed under devices,right click on the name of your phone,and select restore from backup, then just follow the process. In the future it's very important to backup your iphone on a regular basis via icloud or itunes.Hope it all goes well for you
After rereading your oringinal post, I would first just resync it via itunes on your computer before I did a rstore from backup.

i have downloaded apps and deleted them but whenever i got into the app store again and see a app i have already had it has a small cloud beside it... is there anyway that i can fully unistall them off my account so that when i see them on the app store the cloud is no longer there and it says uninstall?

Tha means you have purchased it and it is not installed.

It won't say Uninstall unless it is installed.
You can hide it in your purcahsed items but you can't hide it in the iTunes store.
You can't make the cloud go away in the iTunes store.

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.

You can do a complete reset from Withies iTunes. That will reinstall safari.

Is there anyway to shutdown from Terminal

My aging G5 running Leopard is hanging up at random times. Up to now, I have had to shut down the machine by pushing and holding the power switch. I know this is a bad thing to do, but I do not know any other way.
Is there any special set of keystrokes that will bring up the terminal from a hung up machine and allow me then shut it down ????

Hi Dick, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Nothing at all may work depending where/how it's froze, but the key combo of Control+Eject, (F12), may bring up the Restart/Shutdown Dialog box and the 1st letter of each will selct that button.
CommandOptionesc = Bring up Force Quit window
CommandControleject = Restart immediately
CommandOption+Controleject = Shutdown immediately
CommandControlpower button = Force restart

Is there anyway to restore from time machine without leopard cd?

i really badly screwed up my system by deleting files i shouldnt have,
and now i have a kernal panic at startup.
i bought this macbook in america and left the cds there (duh) - so i cant restore from time machine...
is there a way to do it or do i need the cds to wait for the leopard cd to get here in the post?
