Is There Anyway To Make A Composistion Without A Set Time?

Ok, so is there anyway to make a composistion that doesn't have a set time? Oh yeah...and, whenever i look at the time bar at the bottom it's coming up in 1f - 2f -3f - 4f ...So on, is there anyway to change this to like 5s - 10s - 15s   Like it was before? Thank you.
(CS6)

You change the length of a composition with the composition settings. There is no automatic way to expand a comp. If you need to add more time then press Ctrl/Cmnd + K or go to Composition>Composition Settings and change the time.
In the timeline, you can see more or less of the composition by adjusting the area of view using the icons at the bottom left side of the layer view.

  • Is there anyway I can enable dictation without having to press any keys?

Being disabled I am unable to use my hands and would like to know is there anyway I can enable dictation without having to press any keys. In Maverick this was possible as you was able to start and stop dictation by speech without having to use the keyboard. Being able to start and stop dictation by speech command this will help everyone who is in the same position as me and cannot physically move. It would be great if Apple can add this in the future. Please reply somebody. Thanks

I don't know of a way to do that, but there is a third-party product called "Dragon Dictate" that does have a voice-activation feature. I'm not otherwise familiar with it. I will ask the moderators to move your question to the Accessibility forum where you might get more information. There are also websites dedicated to assistive technology on the Mac, such as this:

  • I lost my iphone 4 last night is there anyway i cant track it without having the app find my iphone

i lost my iphone 4 last night is there anyway i cant track it without having the app find my iphone

    There is no app needed.
find my iphone is a built in feature of the iphone.  If you set it up on your iphone before it was lost, then go to icloud.com and try to locate it.
    Otherwise, you cannot track it.

    Hey ChandlerAdaway!
I have an article here that can provide you some guidance for this issue. First, you will want to check for the songs in your past purchases list for your account, if you haven't already:
Downloading past purchases from the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
If the songs cannot be found there, you will want to report an issue with your download by following the directions in this article:
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store purchase

Thanks for coming to the Apple Support Communities!

  • Is there a way that iTunes can act as a Radio Alarm Clock? I have found the radio station I enjoy listening to in the iTunes Radio List. Is there anyway iTunes (and my Mac) can be set to come-on and start playing that Radio Station from Sleep mode at spec

Is there a way that iTunes can act as a Radio Alarm Clock?
I have found the radio station I enjoy listening to in the iTunes Radio List. Is there anyway iTunes (and my Mac) can be set to come-on from Sleep mode and start playing that Radio Station at specific times of the day?
Any App or plug-in that does that?
    Many thanks
    Kevin

Turning your Mac into a clock radio.
    1.  In iTunes create a playlist that contains just the radio station you want to wake up to.
    2.  Export the playlist (as .m3u works well).  Get Info on your playlist file and look at the Open With entry to make sure it points to iTunes, VLC or some other app that will stream your station.
    3.  In iCal create an event entry at the time you want to wake up.
    4.  Right (or Control) click on your wakeup event and select Get Info.
    5.  For "alarm" select Open File.
    6.  Now under Open File there will be a place to add the file to open.  It will probably be some default entry (like iCal).  Click on it will allow you to select "other."  Then use the file dialog to select your playlist file.
Your Mac will wake you up at the appointed time.  You don't need to keep iCal running.  If you want to put you Mac to sleep for the night then there is one more thing you need to do.  Open System Preferences to Energy Saver and click on the Schedule button.  Check Start up or wake and set the wake up time to slightly before your iCal alarm time.

  • Is there anyway to monitor network traffic on the newer Time Capsules, similar to the SNMP monitoring previously?

Is there anyway to monitor network traffic on the newer Time Capsules, similar to the SNMP monitoring previously?

Can I use a real router and still have the Time Capsule for backups etc?
Yes, that is what Bridge Mode is for.  Just connect the Time Capsule to a LAN <--> Ethernet port on your "main" router.

  • I have accidentally clicked 'forget the network' for Bluetooth in my Elantra car on my iPhone. Is there anyway to make the Bluetooth connection discoverable again?

I have accidentally clicked 'forget this connection/network' on Bluetooth on my iPhone. It was the connection for the Bluetooth in my car. Is there anyway to get it back?

What I have done whenever I restore iOS to my iPhone and set it up as a new phone is I remove the phone entry in my car's BT; then let my phone discover the car's BT and tap 'Pair' on my phone which would prompt for my car's 4-digit passcode. Final result was the phone re-paired to my car's BT.
You might be able to still re-pair your iPhone without going through what I described IF it discovers your car's BT.

  • Hi, is there anyway I can download apps without needing the admins password

Hi, is there anyway I can download apps from the app store without needing the admins password.

To download applications from the App Store, you need your Apple ID password, not your administrator account. The password will be saved for some minutes after inserting it once, so you will be able to install as many apps as you want without inserting the Apple ID password

  • Is there anyway to change Apple ID without losing everything?

I recently changed Internet providers and my current I'd is with my old provider. Is there anyway to change the Apple ID without losing everything?

    Absolutely.
If you go to Appleid.apple.com, then click on the Manage My Account button (big blue rectangle).
When you've signed in (using your current Apple ID), there will be a section showing your email address, click on EDIT next too it, enter in your new Apple ID, and then select Save Changes, and viola! Your Apple ID has been changed, without loss of any content.
Then on your device just go into Settings> Store> click on your account> Sign Out> Then Sign back in using your new email address in place of the old.
Note: Some apps when updating will still ask for your old account as the Apple ID, just enter in your password ignoring the email

  • Anyway to make wifi work without monitor?

So we have a couple of computers where I work where the screen as broken and another where something was spilled on it and it fried the monitor connection on the board. The computers work fine without monitor on the laptop but obviously since there is no monitor the wifi antennas aren't attached. Is there anyway to power the wireless nic without the monitor attached to the macbook? Strange question I know but would love to get the wireless working.
    Thanks

If monitor removed, you cannot use the internal wifi unless you have USB dongle.
Wifi requires special antennas mounted behind the display for proper signal and communication, without screen, wifi cannot work effectively.

  • Is there anyway to restore my ipod without erasing everything in my itunes?

Is there anyway to restore my ipod and not erase everything in my itunes?

"Everything in your iTunes" is on your computer (or should be). So a restore will delete the content of the iPod and then the next Sync will put back the contents of your iTunes Library onto your iPod.
iTunes on your iPod is the iTunes Store.
So a restore will not delete everything in your iTunes, is simply deletes the content on your iPod (which is not the same thing).
If you have music on your iPod that is not in your iTunes Library, you will lose it unless you transfer it to your computer or back it up first.
