Is there anyway to recover Facebook albums deleted in iPhoto?

Here's my problem. I was sorting through a bunch of pictures in iPhoto. I deleted the facebook albums in iPhoto, not realizing it would delete them off facebook. Is there any way to recover these albums so that they go back on facebook? Preferably with any comments people left on facebook intact? Thanks.

i have got the same problem only thing is the albums were never on my macbook just the album covers.
basically my g/f used my macbook pro and found a picture in iphoto she wanted and uploaded it from iphoto so linked her account to my iphoto. i was doing a bit of cleaning up and thought id just remove the link. well it turns out its deleated all the facebook albums on her profile. ive got time machine back ups but its only got one photo from each album in it.
can anyone please help.

  • Is there anyway to recover files permanently deleted in trash after a two month period?

I deleted some files that I thought I transferred to an external hard drive.  However, after 2 months, I realized that all of the files did not transfer and I deleted them in trash about two months ago.  Is there anyway to recover these files?

Probably not. All I can suggest is you contact a recovery service, but it's expensive and since you've been using the machine for over two months, most likely they're overwritten.

On a mac, when you save docs to icloud, a local copy is also saved.  It's saved at:
    ~/Library/Mobile Documents
Note that Library in the user's home folder is now hidden, so you'll have to set Finder to view hidden files.
The Mobile Documents folder has subfolder where copies of the doc/data files are stored.
If the file(s) are no longer there, then use your Time Machine backups to get copies back to the mac.

There are two methods to recover deleted imessages.
    1. Restore them from a previous iTunes or iCloud backup.

  • Is there anyway to recover synced over songs?

I bought the new iphone 5 the other day and went to sync my old iphone 4 to my new computer. I received a new laptop because the old one fried... losing all my itunes content. I foolishly thought that if I downloaded itunes onto my new laptop and plugged my old iphone 4 into it... that it would just sync/back up all my music to itunes and my library would be restored.... WRONG. The sharing option was on and it deleted my entire library and replaced it with another member of the house's library. Is there anyway to recover my old itunes songs without having a back up of them? The only music that is in my iphone now is my husbands music that synced accidentally from sharing. Mine is gone.
    Thanks

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer, for just such an occasion.
If for some reason you have failed to backup ( not good), then you can redownload itunes purchases.  You cannot get any other music.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • Is there anyway to recover my computer's old user ID?

My computer was stolen, but recently returned to me. When I open it, there is a new ID, but my old computer name shows in backlogs (i.e. activity monitor and system information). Is there anyway to recover my old computer stored items?
Older Macbook Model from 2006  OSX 10.4.6

There is hope! Open iTunes and on the right side browser select the new "Purchased" tab.  There you will be able to enter your apple ID and download your purchased music from the cloud!  Hope this finds your well!

  • HT5395 Is there anyway to recover my iMessage history from my iPhone to my Mac? Thank you!

Is there anyway to recover my iMessage history from my iPhone to my Mac? Thank you!

    HI,
Sorry I should have been clearer.
The only way to move any iMessages from and iPhone to a Mac is at the point when they are using the same Apple ID.
Older items are not included in this "Sync".
Messages on a Mac will read older .ichat files (Saved Chats).
It seems that the iMessages on the iPhone do get stored in any iPhone Backup and that can be used to Restore Messages from one iPhone to another.
People state that there are utilities for extracting the iMessages (either from the current display or the Backups) but I have not read that any will then enable the result to be imported in to Messages.

after updating/syncing my ipone 3gs, i have now lost several photos, is there anyway to recover?

Check the Trash in your home folder. If that hasn;t been emptied they could be there.
If not then you might have luck using a file recovery program but for that to have any chance of success you need to stop using your computer immediately. The more you use it the mote likely that the disk space were the photos still might be will be used by the OS for other purposes and then they will be truly gone.
BTW just to make sure you don;t have any backups right?
There are lot of options for data recovery software. Users have reported success with Disk Drill Media Recovery
    good luck

  • If I sent my Microsoft Word icon to the trash by mistake is there anyway to recover it with out an external hard drive ?

I put my Microsoft Word on my desktop, and mistakenly sent it to the trash is there anyway to recover it without having a backup hard drive ?

Drag it out of the Trash, or if you've emptied it, reinstall Word if possible. Even if you need to order replacement install disks, it's probably better and cheaper than attempting recovery.

  • Is there anyway to recover damaged audio from a crash?

I am at my wit's end.  This is the second time I have had soundbooth give me a message that it has had a "fatal error and needs to close" and when I reopen the file I have been working on it is completely gone.
Ugg.  Is there anyway to recover previous versions of the file or Im I just out of luck and need record and edit the hours of work all over again!
If there is anyway to recover my work I would greatly appreciate any help.
When I called adobe they were happy to help for an 80 dollar service fee which wouldnt even guarantee any success in solving the problem.  Thanks for your customer support Adobe! : (

Sorry I can't help with an answer you're probably hoping for, but don't think there is one that will bring your file back. When you create a project with other adobe products it makes copies of those files you are working with. Soundbooth does not and uses your sound file live, basically. If you make a change to an audio file and save it has a direct effect over your original sound file.
I think there are ways to import files where soundbooth will use them as copies, but I may be thinking of Audition from years ago...
Either way, if it's important to you, I recommend making a backup of the files you'll be working with before even thinking about opening them in any editing program, especially ones like Soundbooth. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but as long as we learn from our lessons, at least we can prevent them from repeating (hopefully). As the saying goes "Happens once, shame on you,,, happens twice, shame on me" ;-)
    Take care,

  • Is there anyway to recover my calendar on the IPad?

Is there anyway to recover my calendar on the IPad? When I did synch from Mini it eliminated all entries that had been done on the IPad.

Yeah we said the same thing....quite upsetting. This was a last ditch effort to try and recoup anything I would definitely suggest anyone out there looking for a merchant services app to stay away from this one....the stupid thing gave no indication AT ALL that there was a problem!

Where are the masters actually stored upon conversion from Aperture to Photos? Photos?
The master files are stored on your drive, but they are not actually stored "in" any folder. Folders are really just special files that store various bits of information about the files associated with that folder, including links to where they actually are stored. That's why you can "move" a file from one folder to another very quickly: all that you really are doing is moving the link & other info from one folder to the other folder, while the file itself stays where it was.
Because of this, it is possible for more than one folder to link to the same file -- in the Finder it looks just like there are two copies of the file, one in each folder, but there really is just the one copy. From the description in the Photos saves disk space by sharing images with your iPhoto or Aperture libraries doc, it looks like that's what happens when you import your iPhoto library into Photos -- both the old iPhoto Library "file" (which actually is a set of folders & subfolders of files) & the Photos Library (also consisting of folders & files) contain links to the master files, but like the Apple doc says, there really is just one set of master files being stored.
This is very similar to the way Time Machine backups look like they have multiple copies of the same unique file, one in each time-stamped backup folder, but there really is only one copy on the Time Machine drive. My guess is Apple is using hard links for this, which means the actual master files will not be deleted from the file system as long as at least one link remains to each of them.
So you should be safe in deleting the old iPhotos Library once you are absolutely sure you don't need it, but to be sure, if it was me I would make a backup just in case, or better yet just leave it alone.
