Is there anyway to transfer a pdf document (book) from iBooks to a third-party app like PDF Expert?

I've been having problems using Dropbox to transfer a large pdf document(2.3GB) from my MacBook Pro to my iPad. Each time I upload the document to my Dropbox, the file becomes unreadable. I am able to read the document on my MacBook Pro before uploading it to my Dropbox, however. Since the uploading process seems to be corrupting the file somehow, I decided to transfer the file using iTunes, which places the doument into the iBooks app on my iPad. I have opened the file using the iBooks app and I am able to read it, but I want to be able to use PDF Expert to read the document and so I need to somehow move the document from iBooks to PDF Expert. Is there a way to transfer the file? Or I'm I now limited to using iBooks only? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Have you tried GoodReader? It claims to handle very large file sizes and it's very good for annotations. It's my PDF reader of choice on the iPad

The context is like this :
I am creating a thread to monitor a server, that monitors it after perticular timeperiods.
while creating it i register this thread into a thread group too.
So when i want to stop this thread ,i also want to remove this from a threadgroup also.
Is there anyway we can do it ?

removed from the thread group.The interrupt is just a means for you to tell the thread you'd like it to terminate. It is termination that removes the thread from its group.
But wht about the thread object in memory(i.e. in
running environment)
will it also be eligible for garbage collection ?A thread that isAlive can't be GC'ed, after that ... you already have the answer.

Hi DrDeb, what file format is your resume in? If it is a PDF, you can drag and drop the PDF in iTunes to your iPad and open it with iBooks.
If it is in a different format you can use iTunes File Sharing to drag and drop or use the Add button to import your file located on your PC. You will need an app that can read the file format of your resume.

You need to contact Apple to get the questions reset. Click here, phone them, and ask for the Account Security team, or fill out and submit this form.
Contacting Apple is also necessary to get the money moved if it's possible at all, and it's probably better to have them reset the questions.

I have a similar issue. My hard drive crashed, so I had a new one installed and I'm basically starting from scratch on my computer. My iPhone has a lot of my stuff on it (photos and music in particular). When I plugged into iTunes I did a "back up" of my phone to the computer....this transferred the photos in my camera roll, and music purchased through iTunes.
So....I still have a ton of photos (saved in folders, not my camera roll), and music (older stuff not purchased through iTunes) that I want to get to my computer. I am scared to "sync" my phone in iTunes for the first time.....if I do this, will it make my phone match my computer (effectively erasing the stuff on the phone?). What I want is for my computer to match my phone (thus transferring the additional photos and music). Is the third party software the only way?? Does it really work well/is it worth the money? I understand that much. On my MAC Mini, if you look above at original post, I CAN see both OS while in the Windows 7 partition or the MAC OS. This is NOT the case on my iMac. Again, when in the MAC OS I can see the windows partion and move information between the two that way. When in the WINDOWS partition, the only one that shows is the Windows OS from my computer or network. The only way you can tell its even a MAC is the bootcamp icon in the bottom right corner of toolbar. Both have same version of MAC OS so both should work same way.. When i double click on my computer, it should show both the Windows drive AND the MAC (as does my mini and another iMac 21.5 that i have). This iMac does not do that - only shows windows.

Relative hyperlinks in pdf documents printed from visio 2007

Hello to all. The problem we are trying to solve is to maintain relative hyperlinks that were created in visio 2007 when we publish or print a pdf document. The pdf document that we printed is written in adobe reader 9, and it maintains the hyperlinks but as absolute ones and we required the hyperlinks to maintain as relatives. The idea is to distribute the pdf document with its hyperlinks and the documents that are linked to it in different computers that are not in the same network. The documents that we are trying to link are pdf, word and excel 2007 documents. The operating system we use is Microsoft vista home premium. Does anyone know how to maintain relative hyperlinks in a pdf document printed from visio 2007? Thanks in advance!

Bernd Alheit, thanks for your answer. We print the pdf document from visio 2007 and then we read it in adobe reader 9. The relative hyperlinks work fine in visio 2007, but they change to absolute ones in the pdf document.

Welcome to the Apple community khnkOliver.
I assume these photos, or at least not all of them weren't in photo stream.
You should be able to recover your photos from a back up.

A backup includes most items in iBooks, but I believe it does not include PDF files. Are you saying that in the App tab (in itunes), for iBooks, the PDF files still show up? Or do you mean something else by "itunes books list"?
