Is there anyway to transfer movies from different computers and still be able to edit?

Im doing a claymation project for school. I decided to start it at my house to get ahead. I realized from other expierences that you can't edit a project after you export it. I really need to work with the project at school with out having to start over. Is there anyway to take a movie already started on one computer and being able to move the same movie to another computer while still being able to edit? (I have iMovie "11)

See this post. Read the whole post carefully, and especially the last paragraph.

This all gets easier in the current iMovie (Version 10), where you can just move the Library.

  • Is there anyway to transfer music from my nano 4th or 5th gen to iPad?

I have an iPad3 & was curious if I can transfer music from my  iPod nano (4 or 5)
    onto it and vice versa

The music but you want to move from one device to another must be stored locally in your iTunes library (and in turn your PC's hard drive) before it can be transferred to the other device.

  • Is there anyway to transfer purchases from one Itunes account to another?

So I have had an itunes account since I was about 13. So the email I used for it was a really old one. I'm older now and I have a new email account that I used for everything. I don't check the old one, and I may forget the password to the old email account which would then cause a problem if I forget my apple ID. So is there any way to take all the songs and apps I have accumulated over the years and put it on to my new email? Any suggestions would help.

Not automatically, unless of course you buy your music from Apple.
"You can also choose to have iTunes automatically import purchases you make on any of your Home Sharing computers to your own library."

  • How do you transfer music from different computers to your ipod?

I have two computers that are configured to my ipod. Because one is usually in the shop being fixed I have a problem when I purchase music on the secondary computer and want to transfer it to the main computer. It will transfer to my main computer through a cd but it requires that locate on the harddrive. It will play on the computer once I locate it but it won't tranfer to the ipod when syncing. Any suggestions?

If the music you want to move from computer A to computer B is on your iPod the job is easy. There are free and shareware programs that transfer music from the iPod to your computer. Check out your favorite download site.

  • Can someone help me get my IPOD Touch 3g started? It will only flash the Apple logo off and on. Has been through restore multiple times on different computers, and still will not start.

I have tried restoring the ipod on different computers, one Vista, and one 7. On both, the restore process seems to complete just as it should, until the point where it says "your IPOD will now restart and will appear in listed devices. This IPOD never restarts. The Apple logo just stays on for approximately 30 seconds and then the screen turns off for five or ten seconds and the logo comes back on, over and over for approximately forty five minutes or so, Occasionally the "connect to USB" will come back on, but that is rare. When that does happen, the I-Tunes recognizes it again as an IPOD that needs to complete the restore process. VERRRRRY AGGRAVATING!!!

Time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. It appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Transfer content from different computers to iPhone

Isn't it possible that I connect my iPhone to a computer of a friend, to put some free mp3 on my iPhone?
I manage my library manually, but it always wants to sync everything with the computer of my friend?!
Next phone will be Android! Apple restrictions are so ridiculous!

For reasons that are beyond our ken Apple have designed iTunes in such a way that the content of an iPhone can only be effectively managed from a single *iTunes library*. This restriction is normally presented as being from a single computer but the distinction is important. I can and do manage my iPhone from any computer I chose by dint of having my library stored on a portable external drive. For data security I clone this library onto both my home and work computers so that I have three copies of all my media and the database files.
Note, iTunes protected content can be authorized on up to five computer operating systems at any one time. Protected content from up to five different accounts can be added to any one device. Protected content from each account can be added to as many devices as you can lay your hands on.

  • Is there anyway to stop iCloud from sharing apps and contacts between devices?  I have 3 iPhones, ipad2 and a Macbook and now all of the contacts from all 3 phones come up on everyones phones and the iPad.  We have one iTunes acct.

I was told I would have to set up 3 separate iTunes accounts, but is that the only way?  It has been very frustrating b/c I don't need my husbands or daughters contacts on my phone.  And anytime one downloads an app, it pops up on the other devices.  I like the intent the cloud, but it is getting frustrating to manage all of my devices individually.
    thanks!!

Without separate accounts and IDs, how would you imagine or manage different people?
I assume that they all have their own separate login accounts for Mac OS. They should. But that isn't enough if all the household iTunes are under one ID, they would get mixed into one ID in the database.
Was it though through far enough? probably not. Getting the cloud concept working seems as far as it went with more work to be done to handle devices, IDs, and accounts, and to avoid just this mess and mishmash.

  • Can I disconnect my Iphone from the network and still be able to localize it with find my iphone?

I my phone was stolen or lost and I turned on Lost mode. Can I still track it if I disconnecte my phone from the network(AT&T).?

    Hello Fraga0714
The iPhone itself would need to have access to the internet, either your carrier or Wi-Fi, for it to be located using Find My iPhone. Check out the article below for more information if you want more info to track your iPhone if it is lost or stolen.

Hi DrDeb, what file format is your resume in?  If it is a PDF, you can drag and drop the PDF in iTunes to your iPad and open it with iBooks.
If it is in a different format you can use iTunes File Sharing to drag and drop or use the Add button to import your file located on your PC.  You will need an app that can read the file format of your resume.

  • My hard drive crashed and everything on my laptop was lost... is there anyway to transfer the music that I had put onto my phone into the itunes on my computer ?

My hard drive crashed and everything on my laptop was lost... is there anyway to transfer the music that I had put onto my phone into the itunes on my computer ?

I have a similar issue. My hard drive crashed, so I had a new one installed and I'm basically starting from scratch on my computer.  My iPhone has a lot of my stuff on it (photos and music in particular).  When I plugged into iTunes I did a "back up" of my phone to the computer....this transferred the photos in my camera roll, and music purchased through iTunes.
So....I still have a ton of photos (saved in folders, not my camera roll), and music (older stuff not purchased through iTunes) that I want to get to my computer.  I am scared to "sync" my phone in iTunes for the first time.....if I do this, will it make my phone match my computer (effectively erasing the stuff on the phone?).  What I want is for my computer to match my phone (thus transferring the additional photos and music).  Is the third party software the only way??  Does it really work well/is it worth the money?  Thanks very much for the help.

You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import.
