Is there anyway to use Applescript to control another computers keyboard?

So what I am looking at doing is have 3 computers running a video analysis program that has hot keys set up. I am looking at using one computer and hitting the hot keys as the actions happens and it transfer directly over to the other computers. So basically I am looking to start a script that will copy the keyboard on anouther computer and then be able to stop the script after.
Does anyone know how to do this?

No.

  • Is there anyway to use your best buy credit card online before receiving it?

I know if you haven't received the card yet in the mail you can still use it in store by giving an employee your information. But is there anyway to use it online to make a purchase?

    Good morning Seniorfarts,
It's great to hear that you are either considering or have already applied and been approved for a My Best Buy credit card! It is my understanding that you would have one opportunity immediately after being approved for the credit card online to use it. Outside of this browser session, I believe you would need to wait for the arrival of the physical card. Sadly, this means if you apply and are approved in store, you would not be able to use the card online until you receive it.
I hope this helps! Please let us know if you should have any other questions.
    Sincerely,
    Tasha|Social Media Specialist | Best Buy® Corporate

  • Is there anyway to use the kerning in a selected sentence?

Is there anyway to use the kerning in a selected sentence instead of selecting each space between the characters?

ok that is understandable and fully reasonable. but tech is tech. when one is made to do everything it can also be limited through the code.
Would anyone be able to make or program something to override the code and just use it to send/receive through the hardware. like said the bluetooth tether feature was not doable but mywi was able to through jailbreaking.
what i am asking is, would be it possible?
( edit: didn't read the part of the profiles. )
profiles are not editable? ... or even replaceable?
or is it really just too much work ?

  • HT204048 Is there anyway to use internet explorer with active X on my new mac? It is a requirement to log into my office.

I need Active X control through internet explorer in order to remote log into my office for all my business.  Is there anyway this can be done for just this one site without going through all of the trouble of setting up a whole other windows system & using bootcamp that I found information on?

You can use a virtual machine
Mind you both boot camp and a virtual machine would not give osx access

  • Java.swing    is there anyway to use coordinate based layout in java

i'm new to java and swing and all this gridlayout thing is starting to iritate me well not starting i'm fedup of that. i used to like my simple coordinate based layout system from wxpython, and even that of C# , so is there anyway to do that in Java. and whenever i try to add more than one wigit to the frame using frame.getcontentpane().add(wigit) one widit is displayed over the other, plus none of the methods for those wigits work, when i use setbounds i see no change in the wigits and so on. u can ask for my source code i can send it for u if u like.

You can use absolutes, but your shouldn't.
Try usign a combination of BoxLayouts and BorderLayouts and you should be able to do anything. Just realize that only one component can be placed in one location, and if you need more, then add a sub JPanel, and add more components there.

  • Is there anyway to use Facetime on Windows 7?

Live very far from home, my whole famly have Iphones (myself included) we use facetime a lot but i have a Alienware PC with windows 7, and would like to know if there is anyway to use facetime from the laptop? i hate skype.

Compatibility isn't really the issue. Apple supposedly left Facetime "open" such that someone could build it into an application compatible with other OS's. It's just that no one has. I wish Apple would. Skype is great, but Facetime is so easy to use on the iPad, its a shame they don't port it. I'm sure it has to do with trying to get users to buy Mac computers if they want Facetime on their computer. That's cool, I'll stick with Skype since it's ported to both.

  • Blackfin: is there anyway to use BF561 with Labview for Blackfin 2.5?

In manuals i see only support for bf533 or bf548.
Is there anyway to program it on BF561 ?
BF561 is dual core, but i dont care if only one core will be used.
    tnx,
    HaD

I notice in the LV Blackfin developer suite that Visual DSP ++ is a part of hte system now.  Visual DSP ++ supports the 561.  I guess I need to ask again.  Could you develop for the 537 say (a same speed target as the 561), take the resulting code, move it to Visual DSP++, and port the download to the 561 that way?  If you are going to distribute Visual DSP++ with your system, could you please ask them if they could help with this?  It's not my job to integrate your products for you.
    Thanks.
Anxiously awaiting what I know will be an awsome combination tool from LV and VisualDSP++ for all the Analog Device products.
Just sitting here Humming while I wait.

  • Is there anyway to use PowerPC applications on new Macs?

I just got a new Macbook from my college, and I run an emulator for Visual Boy Advance.  It no longer works due to dropped support for PowerPC.  I have read Mac no longer offers support for this via Rosetta anymore.  However, is there still anyway to run applications like this?

Kappy has the best solution (as usual). Partition the hard drive and install a previous version of OSX. Snow Leopard would be the best version to install, but if you already have Leopard or even Tiger it will do the job although, the new iOS devices are not supported in Tiger.
If you want to use Snow Leopard as your main OS, just remove all your data from the Lion partition to an external hard drive so that there is only the OS on there (6GB or so) and create a large partition for Snow Leopard. Unfortunately, you cannot remove Lion altogether.

My iPod 5th gen. Has recently been stolen and I got an email saying that find my iPod was turned off and all I have left is the serial number and I was wondering if there was anyway to track it down and claim it using the serial number.

    No way at all.

  • Is there anyway to use the ipad2 as a bluetooth headset?

Well that is my initial question.
i have well searched the internet for the answer but haven't found anything really relevant to my search.
i have a few tablets in my house for my kids, visitors, and for my wife and me. This question arose when i connected my iphone 4s to my hp touchpad.
Webos has a feature to connect my phone to the touchpad and use it as a secondary dialer and receiver for phone calls as the tablet itself has a mic, and speakers. ( Basically for those who have used a bluetooth headset, hands-free receiver in car, it is just that).
The neat feature of this is, when my kids are running around playing with my phone, or my phone is lost somewhere in the house or in my jacket, the tablet can be connected to the phone wherever it is in the house, and still receive the calls from my tablet.
Now for the people who will ask, why are you going to put a tablet to your face. No that is not the case. it's like using your bluetooth receiver in your car. i will listen through the speakers and speak to the mic of the hp touchpad. like a speaker phone. *i know for a fact that tablets in korea are made to make and receive calls just like a phone, But america just wants to limit everything for their people. you may really think how stupid is it to use a tablet as a phone but it really isn't. like i said before they either use a headset or use it like a speaker phone.
THIS comes VERY handy as while i am working on my car in my workshop, browsing the internet or looking through my FSM on my ipad, i can receive a call and not miss it. Sometimes i will miss the call because i am using my ipad2 to listen to pandora through my sound system and won't even hear my phone, or even my phone may be on vibrate.
For my wife this feature is GREAT, while she is in the kitchen she was able to receive calls easily because she was using it to look through receipes. all she had to see is the number and hit the green call button when a call came with one touch. she didn't have to wash her hands, dry, and then reach for the phone. i mean she was saying that she wanted another touchpad just for this purpose alone. ( also for those who don't know the touchpad has crazy speakers )
The hp touchpad does this and i am wondering WHY the ipad2 cannot. the BT tech is there.
you may also ask, why not use the hp touchpad? ... that is for my kids, and all my info is on the ipad2. also down to earth the ipad2 cost me more.
why not just use a speakerphone or a bluetooth headset? they are so annoying while you are working on your car. a speaker phone might be a good alternative but why buy something when it's something i may be able to do with my ipad2.
so is there a solution? even in the jailbroken community? i am willing to do whatever it may take to accomplish this because then it might be a neat feature.
so please i know this was long but i feel that there might be others who might want to use this type of feature.

ok that is understandable and fully reasonable. but tech is tech. when one is made to do everything it can also be limited through the code.
Would anyone be able to make or program something to override the code and just use it to send/receive through the hardware. like said the bluetooth tether feature was not doable but mywi was able to through jailbreaking.

  • Is there anyway to use Mic Office10 on my Macbook OSX lion

Is there any way i can use Mic office 10 on my Macbook OSX lion

You can purchase Office 2011 for OS X - Mactopia - or you can try the freeware suite, Libre Office, that is functionally similar to Office 2007 for Windows except it works on Lion/Mountain Lion.
You may want to consider as well:
These two suites are similar to Libre Office but not as current or as well-supported:
    NeoOffice
    Open Office
And, then there is Apple's iWork suite:
Pages - word processing and layout
    Keynote - presentation
    Numbers - spreadsheet
Each can open and save Office compatible files. They may be purchased separately via the Mac App Store for $19.99 each.
You can also run Windows on the Mac:
    Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
         1. Install the Apple Boot Camp software.  Purchase Windows
XP w/Service Pak2, Vista, or Windows 7.  For Boot Camp
4.0 and above you can only use Windows 7 or later. Follow
instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on
installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and
installing Windows.  Boot Camp enables you to boot the
computer into OS X or Windows.
         2. Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business,
Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  Parallels is software
virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently
             with OS X.
         3. VM Fusion and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate,
or Windows 7.  VM Fusion is software virtualization that
enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
         4. CrossOver which enables running many Windows
applications without having to install Windows.  The
Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
         5. VirtualBox is an Open Source freeware virtual machine such
as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris.
It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM
             Fusion.
Note that VirtualBox, Parallels, and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc.  There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization.  The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. See MacTech Labs- Virtualization Benchmarks, January 2013 | MacTech for comparisons of Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Fusion. Benchmarks of all of the above except Crossover can be found in Benchmarking Parallels, Fusion, and VirtualBox Against Boot Camp - The Mac Observer. Boot Camp is only available with Leopard or later. Except for Crossover and a couple of similar alternatives like DarWine you must have a valid installer disc for Windows.
You must also have an internal optical drive for installing Windows. Windows cannot be installed from an external optical drive.
(Access to the Mac App Store requires Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or higher and an Apple ID.)

  • Is there anyway to use imp and rename a tablespace during import? Sort of what remap_tablespace for datapump import does?

I have a dump file from a 9i Oracle database with tablespace USERDEL_DATA but my database in 11g has tablespace USER_DEL_DATA. I don't want to name the tablespace what it is called in the 9i database because the naming convention is not consistent with what I have been naming the tablespaces. There needs to be a '_' between USER and DEL.
The problem I have is that, each time I try importing to 11g database, some tables that probably have USERDEL_DATA as their default tablespace in the 9i database would not import into the 11g database. Is there any parameter (I haven't found one yet) using native import (i.e. imp) to remap_tablespace? I know with impdp, I would be able to remap tablespace easily but this dump file is from a 9i database and impdp would not work on it. Please help.
    Thank you for your assistance.

The old exp/imp utilities have a tablespace transport mode, sort of like the end goal, but maybe not quite exactly.
    >> tables that probably have USERDEL_DATA as their default tablespace
That's not quite accurate, users have a default tablespace, used for table creation when a tablespace isn't specified in the DDL.
What we've done when an export file has tablespaces that disagree with the tablespace names in the import target, go ahead and create the disagreeable tablepspace, and set the target schema(s) user(s) to have zero quota on the "bad" named tablespace. The IGNORE=Y imp setting will end up putting the tables into the user default tablespace, as long as the user(s) haven't picked up the unlimited tablespace system privilege somehow/somewhere.
So when import is done, just drop the bad tablespace [including contents and datafiles]; and Problem Solved.
    >> the naming convention is not consistent
Not seeing a problem there. Its got a name, tablespace(s) have to have one. Don't care what its called, just do have to know about it for backup/recovery, that would be the critical bit..

  • Is there anyway to use my iPhone 4 as an external drive

I would like to use my iphone 4 like an external drive to transfer files between my MacBook, PC, and client computers  Is there an app or setting to accomplish the task?  Thanks

Take a look at Air Disk, I think that is what you are talking about.

  • HT3296 Is there anyway to use my appletv without remote

Can u use ur appletv w/o remote

The remote App 95bulls mentioned works fine for your iOS device - https://itunes.apple.com/app/remote/id284417350?mt=8
Other than that you can use a Bluetooth enabled device. I use my Apple Bluetooth Keyboard to control mine. Works really well.

  • Can I use my late 2013 Macbook pro as a display for my xbox one. I am currently sick with the flu and I do not have a tv in my room. Is there anyway to use the hdmi port on my mac and connect it to the xbox one?

I am currently sick with the flu and in my room I dont have a tv. I tried plugging my xbox one's hdmi into the hdmi port on my macbook pro late 2013 retina display. I even tried connecting the hdmi cable to a hdmi mini display mort converter and that didnt work. How can I use my Macbook as a monitor to play game on

I would guess that the HDMI port on your mac is for output only - no input, and that's what your'e attempting to do when you attach the mac to your xbox. I looked in Mactracker and it lists the HDMI port as video output for both the 13" Retina MacBook Pro and the 15" Retina MacBook Pro (your post didn't say which one you have), so looks like that is the issue..
