Is there: contextual menu for download into Aperture?

In Safari, I can do a right-click and one of my options is 'download to iPhoto'.
Now that I've switched to Aperture, I'd love to download directly into that application.
I've scoured the web, all Aperture-related sites, and I find nothing at all.
Any ideas on how to accomplish or create this?
Thanks in advance.

I do see that my Automator created Service (Add Image to Aperture) would be in the Services sub-menu of the contextual menu, or at least should be. However, something else is going on her that I'm obviously misssing.
Even though I have "Service receives selected [IMAGE FILE] in [Any Application]" selected at the top of the workflow window....
when I right click on an image in Safari the services sub-menu is not present......
Furthermore, when I right click on an existing image file in Finder..........
The service I have created (Add Image to Aperture) is available but only directly from the contextual menu and NOT contained within a Services sub-menu (there isn't one there). Not that I really care exactly where my (Add Image to Aperture) Service is located, I just want it to work.
Thanks for all your efforts here! I'm sure I'm making this WAY more complex than it needs to be, I'm just not seeing something with this.
Additional thought: Is it possible that who ever created the website is preventing "right-click save image" functionality which is throwing another variable into the mix? Although, I've tried in on lots of different websites and that doesn't seem to be the case.

    Hi
And You are doing it right
    • draging a clip ontop of other clip in Project - or -
    • ctrl-click on clip in Project
If it's not that - then my wild Guess is that the iMovie Pref file got corrupted.
    • TEST - Easy by creating a new User Account / Log into this / re-try iMovie - if it now works then I would trash the pref. file

  • TS4124 is there a fee for downloading music with cloud icons

Due to a drive failure, I had to reconstruct my iTunes library from a back up.  When I did this, I also upgraded to iTunes 11.0.1 (12) and discovered hundreds of tracks with cloud icons, some I had purchased, some I don't remember ever purchasing.  Because ONE album with a cloud was one I'd purchased from iTunes a couple of days prior, I assumed that these were all free-access - that is, I have rights to download.
I started clicking on the hundreds of cloud icons and the downloading began flooding through.
Is there a fee for downloading?  I didn't see any new fees in my account, but those things can take days.  There was not prompt asking "if I wanted to purchase".

You can download all your music purchased in iTunes as many times as you want free or charge

As far as hardware restrictions, the only one I can think of is that you certainly need enough free space on your hard disk to accomodate the masters from your Aperture library.
IIn which case, ensure all your masters are "referenced" in Aperture, and that you then go to Options in the Lightroom import box and import photos in their existing locations.

  • Contextual menu for formating drives

Is there a contextual menu that will allow me to format drives so that all I have to do is right click on a drive or CDRW/ DVDRW/ HD and select erase to erase the drive instead of always having to launch the Disk Utility all the time.

A CDRW CD is not a hard drive or drive but I understand the question.
If your computer has a Combo drive or a CD-R/CD-RW drive, you can burn files onto CD discs using the Finder. If your computer has a SuperDrive, you can burn files on CD and DVD discs.
By default, Mac OS X burns CD discs in a format that can also be used on non-Macintosh computers.
Insert a blank CD or DVD disc into the optical drive of your computer.
Type a name for the disc in the dialog that appears (if CDs & DVDs preferences are set to "Ask what to do"), or under the CD icon if no dialog appears.
If you see the dialog, you can choose an action from the pop-up menu and select "Make this action the default" if you want the same thing to happen every time you insert a blank disc. Then click OK.
Drag files and folders to the open disc window and arrange the files exactly as you want them. The names of files, folders, and the disc can't be changed after the CD is burned.
    Choose File > Burn Disc.
Select the burn speed and click Burn.

  • Pictures in Idisc not showing up for import into aperture 3

When I attempt to import photos from the Idisc into Aperture the photo are not visible in the import window.  This is also true for a thumbdrive.  I can see them on the Idisc or thumbnail drive if I open the disc or thumb drive and I can open them directly into finder.  Why are they not visible from within Aperture?

Select a button and see if the asset is set to be the video and appropriate timecode where there's actually a picture and not a black screen (depending on what kind of production this is, obviously..)

  • Is there an option for downloading for connection that keeps timing out

My home computer does not have a fast (enough) internet connection and will timeout when trying to download ANY application from the Adobe CC.  Is there a way to download the installation packages on a machine other than the one where they will be installed?  For instance, can I download the installation package on a computer where I work, copy it do a jump drive, then take it home and install it on the computer at home?  Thanks

    Yes. Refer to this:
Direct Download Links for Adobe Software
Just be aware that you still need to install the Creative Cloud App before installing those programs or they'll give you warnings - CC only works with CCApp in place.

  • Is there a charge for downloading previous purchases?

I was looking and saw the option to download previous purchases. I know it is a silly question, but was wondering if itunes charges a second time for downloading the items?

    Mel,
If your country Store allows re-downloads, and if you follow the instructions in this guide:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519?  then there is no charge.

  • Is there a URL for downloading Mavericks?

I live in Myanmar, so I have to use a program like DeepVacuum to complete the download of large files...

As stated above, no. If you can't download it on your own computer, take a flash drive to a Mac which has a reliable Internet connection, sign into the Mac App Store with your Apple ID, download the installer there, copy it to the drive, and delete it from that computer.

  • Finding iphoto-library for import into aperture

aperture does not find my iphoto-library for import!
I have installed aperture and when I want to import my iphoto-library, the pulldown menu does not give me the option to click on "iphoto library", though it is in the pcts-Folder. It gives me all the pictures on my computer except the iphoto-library. Who can give me a clue?

Make sure the Import Pane on the Aperture Window is closed and then go File -> Import and the iPhoto Library option will be available.

  • Is there any way for downloading LION without recovery tool? macbook air (mid 2011) ?

I recently bought a macbook air(mid 2011) and I am using ADSL internet services which needs couple of hours to complete downloading of LION. but when I come back to see what happened few hours after download started, I found myself in Lion Recovery startiting page !
seems that I am in a endless loop !!
In addition, Its not possible to download it from app store, since it shows that the application has beed installed already. is there any suggestion ?
I guess I should first download it using speed download and then install it !

Have you tried holding the Option key down and then clicking on "Purchases" in the App Store interface? If this works, then you'll see "Install" instead of "Installed" against Lion. Download Lion then -- it will go to your Applications folder -- and do not give your password for installation to execute. You should then have the full Lion installation package in your Applications folder. With "Show Package Contents", in "Shared Support" find InstallESD.dmg. If you burn that to a blank DVD you'll have a Lion Install disc. But since you have a MacBook Air, you could use a (not less than 8 GB capacity) pen drive to store the installation without having to do the full download every time.
