Is there going to be another back to school deal this year?

Like when you buy a macbook and you get a free printer or an ipod or something?

"Back to school" offers have hit the Apple mainpage now. New this year is bonuses for iPhone purchases.
It seems we had to get past Fathers day a little, and now Labor Day (Sept 1 or thereabouts) and back to school is the next big event.

No Siri on 4G Footnote 2 of
Apple - iOS 6 - iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch get 200+ new features.
    says:
Siri is available on iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad (3rd generation), and iPod touch (5th generation) and requires Internet access.

  • Hi there, is there any Back to School Scheme this year?

Hi there, is there any Back to School Scheme this year?

I read there was $100 for B2S but fall education market buying usually heats up *starting* in July and sometimes end of Sept qualifies as "late summer" or start of fall.
And Intel does have their hands full getting laptops using Haswell, and Apple has its hands full with getting better wifi
Most of that is aimed at consumers, not Mac Pro but at MacBook Pro and Air. And the Air is getting new fast SSD on PCIe - I expect that will be found throughout product line.
And in case you are looking or thinking about MBP then:

Sorry, no one here will know Apple's marketing plans.

  • Will there be a back to school deal in 2013

I know that in the past apple has had back to school deals during the summer and since I am intending on buying a new MBP I am wondering if anyone knows if there will be a back to school deal in 2013?

I don't think I can wait either.  Too bad that it wasn't offered on the 12th of June like it was last year.  Best Buy has some pretty good deals, think I'll head over there.

  • Is there going to be another iPod touch 2 generation iOS update?, Is there going to be another iPod touch 2 generation iOS update?, Is there going to be another iPod touch 2 generation iOS update?

Is there going to be an iOS update for an iPod touch 2 generation?

Since we are all only end users like yourself, nobody here would know such information, and it's against the Terms of Use of these forums to discuss such things.
However, with that said, it's likely that the 4.2.1 update is the last the 2G iPod Touch will ever see, but again only Apple only knows.

  • Is there going to be another canon 7d with ten frames a second?

I getting ready to buy another body. I been thinking about a seven D. I was told to wait because canon is replacing the seven d with a newer 7d is this true?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Rumor is there will be a 7D Mk II released some time in 2013. There is no official announcement from Canon and there is no spec list only speculation.
If I had to guess it will have a $2000 - $2200 price tag.
I would probably buy a 7D now since the price is so good and by the time a 7D Mk II actually gets released it could be Christmastime.

  • Is there going to be another software update to fix wifi issues?

Since updating to the latest software I have not been able to get any wifi at home or in town, the message I get says it cannot scan for networks, I have tried everything suggested to me and now I have to hope there will be a software fix soon because I know other folks are having wifi problems too.

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

  • Is VZW going to enter into a contract with SONY this year for the Z2 series of phones?

No one knows on this peer to peer customer forum to begin to guess what devices Verizon Wireless will offer in the future.

  • Macbook Pro 13- Back to school offer 2011?

I have been holding out on purchasing the Macbook Pro 13 2011 model for while now due to
    New OS
    Back to school offer?
Wondering if anyone would know if Apple are doing the back to school offer this year as sure last years was around May but nothing has been mentoned so far?
Also by holding out I would be getting the new OS on the laptops already- any ideas when this is released as really want a Macbook Pro already first MAC purchase for me exciting times

I would want to wait 6 months after any new OS to be 'field tested.' Tried and true and mature with the bugs worked out makes 10.6.7+ look good investment rather than bleeding edge.
With Apple you can't install an older build version of the OS than what it ships with so if there are any issues which there always are with an OS.
No one knows future product dates and terms (and couldn't say anyway).
If you want to talk to MacBook Pro owners they are on
    MacBook Pro
Spec-wise the 2011 MBP looks very good.

  • I lost the iPhoto ability on my iPad when I got IOS8, is there another iPhoto app that can make photo books? Or is there a way to revert back to IOS7?

i lost the iPhoto ability on my iPad when I got IOS8, is there another iPhoto app that can make photo books? Or is there a way to revert back to IOS7?

settings, wallpaper and screen brightness and turn it down to almost nothing?

  • Since the ios7 update has anyone lost ability to charge phone with external battery back! And is there going to be an update to correct this?

Since the ios7 update has anyone lost ability to charge phone with external battery back! And is there going to be an update to correct this?

Modular747 is a troll with very little real knowledge of the iPhone charging systems (as evidenced by his uninformed comments in other threads).
It could very well be iOS 7 refusing to charge from "non-authorized" accessories. We have done A/B tests with the same accessory (in this case cables) with iOS6 and iOS7 and have seen the cable work with iOS6, then not work (i.e. not charge) with iOS 7. Same device, same cable. Only change was the OS.
Keep the pressure on Apple, folks. It is not OK to make working accessories unusable with a software update.

  • Ok, so while we all wait for ever, is there a way to revert back to the previous os and data?

Ok, so while we all wait for ever, is there a way to revert back to the previous os and data?  I could wait a week for this mess to get worked out and I need my telephone. problem is I'm stuck in the loop too.  will not connect and there I have a brick.  sort of a shoot yourself in the foot process if you have a wiped phone previous to updating it.  useless
anyone know how to revert?  Verizon btw, had 4.2.10, tried for ios 5, tried for the gold, no win
    Thx

I'm seriously thinking of downgrading back to Mavericks for one very specific reason - the Mail app. As a long-time Mail user, I've always had the Address Panel open down the left side of the Mail app, selected from the Window/Address Panel menu item. It showed a simple list of all contacts, or groups, and only the email address(es) associated with each one. Could select a group then click BCC or TO: or whatever.  Could also select multiple addresses and pop them into the CC: list or wherever you liked. And within a Group (eg Work) could do multiple select, and also choose which email address to use for those who have more than one (eg work vs personal).
But - Apple seems to have removed it in Yosemite. The Mail app has NO WAY - at least that I can find - to access a simple list of contacts and email addresses from within the Mail app. What an absolutely stupid move, unless it's just me being dense and can't find it!
If anyone can point me to where or how to show that Address Panel in the Mail app, I'd be most grateful. Having Contacts app open all the time just doesn't cut it either, apart from not enough screen real estate. Contacts won't show you a simple list of people and email addresses like the Address Panel in Mail did. It shows you the full details, one at a time, for each contact. Which is absolutely NO good if I have to send out emails to 50 work colleagues, for example.
Why does Apple DO stuff like this? Like removing the sidebar in iTunes, for another example?
If I can't find an Address Panel for Mail, I'm going back to Mavericks.  Anyone got any clues?
