IS THERE HARDWARE TO COPY FROM VCR TO THE ELEMENTS SOFTWARE?

I am considering purchasing the elements 8 to make movies with. However, I have a vcr tape we made some time ago that I want to copy from the tape to the software to edit and make a training movie. Is there hardware that comes with the elements that I can hook to the VCR and to the computer to copy the movie? Thank you folks for the help.

My way is probably a bit longer but it works for me as I don't need to do this way often, BUT I use my Toshiba VCR to DVD burner. You can buy them fairly cheap, mine has a hard- drive but they come without and just burn directly to DVD. Then I move the resulting VOB file from the DVD to my computer and use it in Premiere Elements.
another way I've done it is to hook up my mini-DV camera to the VCR and tape it onto the camera and then CAPTURE in Premiere Elements.

Well, if you loose functionality und good user experience due to apples and googles quarrels its simply not a matter of bugfixing. If you want to get rid of googles services (Maps, Youtube) you should at least make shure, the user experience stays the same. Without the youtube app custom made for easy iPad use, you need to buy an app to at least get fullscreen view but with a much more complicated navigation (iCabMobile for example). And GoogleMaps is right now still the far better service.
If google lets me use programs for free (to make advertisements) I'm ok with a beta. If I buy a very expensive apple device I'm definitely NOT ok with this, especially when I'm forbidden to revert to what I had before. PLease let me downgrade to 5.1.1 again at least.

I have backed up and restored but I have not received a message from itunes stating the phone is unlocked. Do I use the old or new sim card while connecting to itunes or does it not matter. I dont know what else to do to finish the unlock?

You can use either, but if you restored to the backup, then you will not see the message. You need to restore the device as new first, then restore the backup. Make sure you can continue with the unlock first. Many of the emails report, "Your unlock has been approved, restore your device in iTunes in 24 hours", or something like that. If it is ready to go, then as I said earlier, restore as new first, and then you should see the confirmation.

I have two iPads about a year old and have 5 full folders of web links that I would like to copy from one to the other. Both have iCloud but not the same account. Is there an easy way to grab those folders or the icons and email?

How to copy from one to the other

Hey guys I have an image than is not your normal image type. When I go to copy it to a blank PDF I cant. I tried using the stamp tool and it only works for copying into the existing pdf. Is there a way to copy one image to another pdf? Thanks

Adding to what Gene said, if you just want to add one image into another document, you can also use File > Place Embedded (if using Photoshop CC; believe it's just "File > Place" on CS6 or earlier).

Why isn't there a "Get Files from Zip" on the zip pallette in 8.0?

The zip pallette has three functions. New Zip File, Add File to Zip, and Close Zip File. I cannot figure why they would not include a way of extracting files from an existing zip.
All three have password protected block diagrams, so I cannot go monkeying around on my own. Anyone have any ideas?

The OpenG add-on LabVIEW library (which uses zlib) will do all that you ask and more.
The installation process uses something called OpenG Commander and, while it can be a bit confusing, it is more than worth the trouble in the end!

I recently renewed my Adobe Software Distribution license, as I saw that the existing download links were going to be retired.
So I received the resulting email for Air, Flash, Reader and Shockwave and all the links are fine, except for the one to download Reader XI.
Is there anywhere I can get support/help on this? Adobe online Support Chat have me going in circles...

Yeah. Getting the software isn't a problem (there a number of ways to download it), but I just want them to take responsability for the broken link in the email, since I'm supposed to use that link to download the software.
After going through four Adobe support people, they've apparently passed it on to the "development" team... I wont be holding my breath on that.

Moving library to external hard drive and get the error "Copying files failed. The disk could not be read from or written to"

Hello,
I'm moving my library to an external hard drive.
I've made sure to use the 'Keep iTunes Media Folder Organized' option when pointing to the new library location.
I select 'File'->'Library'->'Organize Library', I select to 'Consolidate Files', click 'OK' and get ther error message "Copying files failed. The disk could not be read from or written to".
I've read elsewhere that there may be a corrupted file that I need to sequester somehow and perhaps add it back however I'm not certain how I can locate that file because the status window doesn't indicate which file it's attempting to transfer when the error appears.
Any tips?

OK I figured it out!
It was a dodgy file....I sorted the file folders by date, and as it turned out within the "compilations" folder there was a CD where only about half the tracks seemed to have been copied over. Could not have identified this simply from the time indicated on the finder folder sort, because there were several CDs copied over in the that same minute.
I went back to the original itunes folder, deleted all the files from that CD in itunes, then also deleted all those files from the original disk and the target disk.
Tried the "consolidate library" again, and it completed nicely. 200megs of music and videos.
Very happy to solve this problem after 3 weeks.

Did you want to say that you have maintain some text in quotation and that text is not copying to the sales order some thing like that?
So I suggest you to check your setting by going to the following Tcodes.
VOTXN over there you can define the text types.
And you have to assign you text determination procedure to the order also.
If you want that text to be copied to the billing also then assign the procedure to the billing doc.
If you have assigned properly your procedure then it will copy the document.

Hi,
You cannot enable the Copy From button on the purchase order window. This is because there is no originating document for a purchase order (which is the first document in the chain on the purchasing side).
Perhaps if you explain your reasons for needing this functionality someone can come up with a suitable workaround.

What am i doing wrong in,trying to copy from iTunes

Simply put I've transferred 50 + documents to iTunes from pages in PDF format, then deleted them from the ipad, they show up in in iTunes, under the pages app in the app section. They're stored on my computer in the iTunes folder under books. After plugging in iPad, waiting for it to recognize the iPad, and navigating to the pages app, in the app section. I then click on sync or apply. Go through the sync process but it doesn't show it processing those particular PDFs. If I open the iPad, while plugged in or not, open pages, click on copy from iTunes, all the documents in PDF format are visible but I can't import or select any of them, there just there unhighlighted or dim. the only document I can copy to iTunes is a .doc formatted page. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone is following this thread, I found the solution to my problem where the Floating Fields did not work. BTW, I am using LiveCycle Designer ES 4.
Under Form Properties/Defaults, you need to change "Choose Target Version" to "Adobe and Adobe Reader 9.1 or later". Save the change, and floating fields should work now.

When will Copy from be enabled??

In the Sales Quotation and the Purchase Order documents we have the "Copy From" button which is always disabled. When will this be enabled? Please give a simple example.

Hello Vasu,
The Copy From option in the Sales Quotation and Purchase Order functions will never be enabled. This is because the Sales Quotation and Purchase Order are the first possible documents that can be created in Sales and Puchasing modules, correspondingly.
The Copy From option seems to be there for consistency of UI layouts, but will never be used for the two functions.
