I am trying to find a good source for Quicktime for Windows platform compatibility.  I was unable to find anything on the apple support site for legacy versions, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Is there itunes for windows ME 98?

    DELL   Windows ME
I recently purchased an ipod nano. Is there itunes for windows ME 98.....?????????
    DELL   Windows ME

Sorry, but you cannot use iTunes under Windows ME. For just synchronizing tracks with your iPod, you could get a third-party utility such as Anapod, Ephpod, or Xplay for handling the transfer. I haven't used any of these, so I can't make any recommendations. These applications cannot connect to the iTunes Music Store, so unless you upgrade, you won't be fully supported and will not be able to purchase tracks from the iTMS.
I strongly suggest you consider upgrading your version of Windows, though. Windows ME is no longer supported by Microsoft and it's going to get harder and harder to find applications that will work under 95/98/ME.
    Hope this helps.

  • IPod repair routines for Windows platform?

iPod harddrive volumes running on Mac platform can be "repaired" using Disk Utility ( or Third Party apps) to, sometimes, avert the need to fully restore (and thereby erasing) an iPod to healthy functioning.
Is there such an application or system routine to tune up flash-drive based iPods
running on Windows platform ( or Mac for that matter)?
Thanks in advance for any comments.

sorry, I posted this to the wrong discussion but I will leave it here so as to not double post.
    Thanks.

  • HELP "encore created for windows platform, cant open"  !?!?

So I have encore installed on my macbook pro. I created a project last night, saved it, it looked awesome and I even did a test burn. I went to open it 5 minutes ago and its telling me it was created for a windows platform and it cannot be opened? What? Anyone know what this is about?

Ok so I went into the file it created on my desktop (it made 2, a media cache folder and a folder with the same name as my project, and also the ncore file). So there are a total of 3 objects, 2 folders and the ncore file on my desktop.
I opened the folder with the same name as my project and it had 5 objects in it; a cache folder, a sources folder and the 3 project files (acx and 2 xml's)
I created another subfolder in that one (with the same name as the main folder), as the thread directed me to.
Then I moved the Sources, Cache, acx, and xml files into that subfolder. So in that sub folder there are a total of 5 objects, 2 folders (cache and sources) and 3 files, the 2 xml's and the acx. It still gives me the error...

    Hi all developers,

    3) Is PostgreSQL suitable for J2EE web application?

    Hi all developers,
I am handling a project that may use PostgreSQL as
database. Pls share experience with me about:
    1) Is PostgreSQL stable in Windows platform?PostgreSQL is only really as stable as the platform its running on.
    2) What is the limitation of PostgreSQL? only allows
32 connections?I'm not sure, but unless you're writing an extremely large app then 32 connections should be plenty if you use connection pooling.
    3) Is PostgreSQL suitable for J2EE web application?Yes!
    Thanks.You're welcome.

  • TS1363 Are there instructions for Windows 8?

I can see my IPod Shuffle 4th gen in Windows Explorer (Windows 8) but it won't appear in ITunes.  I've reloaded ITunes two times.  The instructions for My Computer describe an earlier version of Windows.  How do I access the features for My Computer for Windows 8?

Same result from that URL.  Downloaded and then ran the download.    Installed version is 11.0.06.  Trying to install 11.0.07 and then 11.0.08 security patch.  Program tries to install, gets very near the end and then rolls back.  I then get a message that nothing has been changed.

  • Migrate 32bits 10gDB to 64bits 10gDB for Window Platform

    Hi,
Can you advise questions concerning 64bits Oracle 10g running on Window 64bits machine.
    1) Is there any matrix to show servers certified for 64bits Oracle 10g
    2) Any performance benchmark done for 64bits Oracle. Performance comparision between 32bits and 64bits
    3) What is the certified window OS to run 64bits Oracle 10g? Will Window 2008 improve performance?
    4) Any document to perform migration from 32bits 10gdb to 64bits 10gdb on window.
    5) Is it possible to run 64bits 10gdb on 32bits machine? Let's production server is 64bits machine with 64bits oracle database software and UAT server is running on 32bits machine with 32bits oracle database software. Can we restore production 63bitsdb to UAT server? If can, how?
    6) What is the known issue for oracle running on 64bits?
    7) What is the benefit of 64bits Oracle database?
    8) Any program/configuration needs to be changed to take advantage of the benefits?
    Thank You.

    Hi,
    1) Is there any matrix to show servers certified for 64bits Oracle 10g?All most all 64-bit server platforms support oracle database 10g *(Intel, AMD, Itanium)*
    2) Any performance benchmark done for 64bits Oracle. Performance comparision between 32bits and 64bitswww.dell.com/downloads/.../oracle_performance_em64t_6850.pdf

    3) What is the certified window OS to run 64bits Oracle 10g? Will Window 2008 improve performance?Yes both windows 2003 and 2008 are now certified with oracle database 10g please refer tech note * 740926.1 Where can I find the Database / Client software to download for Microsoft Vista, or Windows 2008?*
    https://support.oracle.com/CSP/main/article?cmd=show&id=740926.1&type=NOT
About 2008 I am not sure will it improve your performance or not.
    4) Any document to perform migration from 32bits 10gdb to 64bits 10gdb on window. Please refer tech note: *62290.1 Changing between 32-bit and 64-bit Word Sizes*
    5) Is it possible to run 64bits 10gdb on 32bits machine? Let's production server is 64bits machine with 64bits oracle database software and UAT server is running on 32bits machine with 32bits oracle database software. Can we restore production 63bitsdb to UAT server? If can, how?Database 10g is 64 bit software you can keep your production database on any of the 32-bit machine. I dont think there will be no issues.
IF can, how?It depends upon your policies, whether u are restoring complete cold backup, export/import, rman TTS.
    6) What is the known issue for oracle running on 64bits?I dont find any issues oracle databases running on 64-bit. Oracle database software itself is a 64-bit software.

  • Is there Itunes for windows ME? HELP!!!!

I have Windows ME and was very mad that i found out that i could not get songs from my computer to my Ipod is there any program out there besides Itunes where you can download song to your Ipod Mini. I just bought the Ipod from a friend and just recieved my USB cable and found out that Itunes would not work and i cant even charge my Ipod.

dude, nothing like reading the outside of the box before buying. It clearly states the Windows requirements.
There has never been an iTunes for ME, and never will.
I don't think even Microsfot supports that unstable OS anymore.
If you really really want an iPod, spring for XP.
I think I read, the upgrade from ME to XP is $80, but don't quote me on that.

  • OID for windows platform

I am trying to learn LDAP on Oracle server.
As per Oracle documentation,i can install OID on windows server.I couldn't find all oid related commnad to start/shutdown/monitor server. On top of that, in LDAP directory, there are plenty of .sh file. What's the use of .sh file in Windows enviornment ?
    Thanks
    null

    hi,
The commands to start OID processes are "oidmon" and "oidctl", which are installed in ORACLE_HOME\bin when you choose OID from the 8i EE cd-rom.
When you install OID on NT, a service called "OracleDirectoryService" is installed in your control panel services (Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Services). You can start the OID processes from there.
The command line method of running these commands is documented at:
    http://otn.oracle.com/doc/oracle8i_816/network.816/a77230/start_se.htm#1002638
The .sh file are indeed unix shell scripts, and to run them you would need a unix shell for NT (such as Cygwin).
