Is there known maximum to quantity of images displayed in photos?

Have iPad with approx 35,000 images to display. Is there a ceiling or maximum to quantity which can be managed through iTunes photo sync and displayed on iPad?

To deal with pictures of crowds:
If you have plenty of images that you do not want to assign faces to, then it might be useful to prevent the scan for faces on import, rather then to reject unwanted and mislabeled faces later.
I mostly take photos of animals and landscapes, no need to scan those for faces. When I want face detection, I flag the images to be scanned for faces, and selectively activate "Detect missing faces" on the images in the "Flagged album".
Also, in the current version of Aperture faces you once removed will stay hidden in the faces view, so it is sufficient just to reject them one. In previous versions the used to reappear like a bad coin.
In a situation like this it is sufficient to remove the falsely detected faces by clicking the crosses in the upper left corner of the faces box to reject the faces, no need to select "not a face" or to assign a fancy name.
I really would love to select all face-boxes at once, but none of the modifier keys will help to enable a multi selection.
So I usually try to avoid the scan for faces on this kind of images in the first place.

I usually send my stuff out to an "Indexor" but I think there is a limit on characters (50 or so) but check out www.theindesigner.com and search for video tut on indexes, he covers it quite comprehensively)

Why is there a maximum email attachment size?

I can understand why there is a maximum MMS file message size but why is there a maximum email attachment size set by the handset? The limit is preventing me sending pictures from my phone. MMS messages are charged at a flat rate but GPRS data is chared per kB. My operator, Tmobile, say they have no limit on email message sizes (and obviously they make more money if you send a larger file. If I transfer my sim card to my laptop or PDA I am able to send any size of attachment with no problem. But with the sim back in the handset a limit of 100kB is imposed. I get the same result using both Tmobile or Orange sims. This is especially annoying if you have a phone that produces high quality images with file sizes several times the limit. You can have a great image with no means of sending it at its original resolution. Anyone know why this is?

Most operator's (carrier's) MMSC (Multimedia Messaging Service Center) servers do set a limit.
What the MMS size limit that's guaranteed to go through is defined by a document known as the MMS Conformance Document (maintained by OMA, Open Mobile Alliance, which is a standardization organization by mobile device manufacturers and network operators, primarily).
So, both the handsets (phones) may or may not have a size limit depending on how it was designed, and in addition the networks also have their own limits, and they do not need to be the same, but the doc I mentioned specifies what the devices and networks have to support, at least.

Is there a maximum viewport size for an EPUB file in iBooks?

I have noticed that very large viewports sometimes cause iBooks to crash. Is there a maximum size allowed?

The viewport size I use is 512px wide by 768px high for my individual .xhtml pages. For a two-page spread this would mean the viewport is actually 1024px by 768px.
Yet I paint my original images for a Children's Read Aloud Fixed Layout ePub at 2048px wide by 1536px high and then cut the painting in half for a two page spread. This means on the new retina display, my images will look great yet be backward compatible with the original iPad.

That is not a feature of iPhoto - suggest to Apple - iPhoto Menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback.
You can opnly resize using the available options and file size is not one of them

Maximum delivery quantity control

Hi all,
The sales order consists of 2000 KGS. Where as in delivery it should not allow to deliver the entire quantity to deliver, though the stock is available. Please advise is there any control, where we can control at delivery level for maximum delivery quantity is only 500 Kgs or something.. more than that it should not.
Minimum delivery quantity control is there but that will not work here.

There is control in 0vlp (zeroVLP) where if you maintain B for the field "Check overdelivery", system will prevent creating delivery if the quantity exceeds sale order quantity but not what you require. If you want to control, you can try with delivery user exit V50S0001

16bit? Pixels extending beyond the canvas? (from a crop with delete unused pixels turn off). Have you previously been saving PSD files?
IME you sometimes have to tell Photoshop that the first save of a session is JPG, and it remembers from there on. The way to 'tell' Photoshop that JPG, or PDF, or PNG etc are now your preferred format is to Ctrl (Cmd) click on that format in the Save As drop down list. So long as the file does not have parameters that your chosen format does not support, then this should work for you.
[EDIT] Just noticed that you did include 'Crop' in the subject line. Do you have 'Delete cropped pixels' checked?

So how did you do it?
by understand what iweb widgets do, in this case setting gridEntry widget's scalMode preference from fill to fit.
then reset the displayed image, so it fits in the display area even if it's portrait aspect.
however, i found some glitches in gridEntry widget that's quite strange... but all fix-able.
perhaps, iweb experts (whose had poked at my example) here can chime in.

My reply here was specific for this thread, but as you noted, I didn´t read careful enough. I wrongfully took for granted that issues in the More Like This box was platform dependent. I tried to apolgize accordingly, I would like to see the post deleted, but that doesn´t stop you from policing obviously.
And instead of arrogantly replying about matters irrelevant for this thread, maybe you should start reading more carefully yourself. The posts you are referring to are related to large images failing to load properly in Safari 7. This is not as you claim "vaguely related". Take this elsewhere if you have a problem with it.

All I did was inserted a text layer with that same inside color and a stroke layer style with that same outside color (about 3 or 4 pixels; outside position). Font used was Calibri Regular.

We shoot with two photographers and so the img numbers are not in order but I would like to have the photos in chronological order on the disc when I give it to them. Does anyone know how to do this? I have them all in order ready to go in Aperture but when I move them to the disc to be burned they default back to the img number order. Thanks for your help!

What do you mean by "image number"? The file names like "IMG_7822.CR2" or "IMG_7822.jpg"?
You can create custom names with appended numbers, when you export your image files to be saved on a disk.
Sort your images by date in the browser, select them, then use the command "File > Export > Version" to write the files to the disk. Set the name format to "Custem Name with Index" or "Custom Name with Counter" to create numbered names in your current sort order.

Just open the camera raw file, and it will open in the ACR plugin.

It's very easy to make an action.
Go to window > actions
In the actions panel, simply click the 'create a new action' button, it starts recording as soon as you've created it (when you've given it a name).
Now you can apply the changes you want to make to the images on the file you have opened.
After you've done all you need to do. You click the 'stop' button. The action is now ready to use. And you can apply the changes you made on all the other files.
Then you can continue how gener7 explained.
I usually include a save and close command, so that the whole batch doesn't end up opened after running the script.
But if you do that you have to create a new file, and save it to your computer before you start recording the action, otherwise the save command will be replaced by each file. And you'll end up with one edited file in the end. At least for as far as I know!
