Is there more than 1 version of the new iPad?

A friend of mine also bought the new iPad today, I was playing with it & showing him around with a few tips on what apps to download etc then I noticed it was different!!
First thing I noticed was that when I dragged the icons on top of each other to make a folder it had a slight glow.
I ignored it & thought maybe I never noticed it before on mine. (I later discovered that mine doesn't glow)
But then I opened safari & navigated to YouTube mobile to do some browsing for best apps for iPad etc & discovered his video player was completely different to mine!!!
His video player had options for different resolutions 1080p 720p 480p etc similar to the HTML5 player on desktop safari on my Mac, mine was a simple player with only 2 options HQ & HQ greyed out.
I immediately checked the firmware & both ipads are on 5.1.1(9B206)
The only difference was the purchase date, I bought mine as soon as it was released a couple months ago, and he bought his today!
So are there 2 versions?
Is there a difference in hardware?
Or has iTunes somehow updated his safari browser when he synced?

You cannot set up more than one user account on the iPad if that is what you mean.
Obviously families will share an iPad, but they are really meant to be single user devices with one Apple ID only on the iPad. Multiple ID's on one iPad can become a bit of a hassle to deal with.
There is no way to lock apps or email accounts so that can become an issue as well. If you use the built in mail app for email, whoever is using the iPad can read your email.

guy in the shop never mentioned this today when i was askin about my operating system!!! is there anyway then that i can update my operating system to 10.6 and above as my i mac is running 10.5.8, an early 2008 imac. tried looking into it and actually got a snow leopald disc but it wont allow the update to my computer

How do I specify the CSS attributes if I want more than one

The orginals for those classnames stay the same, Spry will
use your defined classnames instead of using the hard coded
classes.
This only counts for the:
-tabHoverClass
-panelVisibleClass
-tabSelectedClass
-tabFocusedClass
U can just replace the classnames for all other atributes
with your desired classes.
Just remember for each new tabpanel u will have to create a
new tabpanel constructor:
var TabbedPanels1 = new

How do I know if I have the new iPad or the iPad 2. I bought it today but chose not to get the cellular version of the new iPad and now am unsure of which one they have given me. I know I was charged for the new one

I bought what I think to be the new iPad but chose to go with the non cellular option. Now I'm not sure if they have given me the new iPad or the iPad 2. I got a black 64gb one and need an easy way to determine the differences. I haven't put iOS 6 on it.

I'm thinking of buying a 9300 but am confused:
Are there two versions, one that supports 3G on bands 850 / 1900 / 2100 and a second that handles AWS band IV (900 / 1700 / 2100)? Or is there only one version and it can handle both?
IF there is one version, then I presume that I can buy any 9300 and put in a SIM to use with the new AWS carriers in Canada (e.g. WIND, Mobilicity).
If there are two versions, does anyone know how to tell them apart?
(I am aware that the 9330 operates on different bands, only).

I took a look at those links. The only thing that sticks out is that one has a conventional hard drive and the other has a hybrid drive with a built-in cache. I think the model with the conventional drive also has a 16GB m.2 SSD as a separate cache.
The tccbook (Western Europe) might be of some help. If I'm interpreting the ++ at the end of the model #'s, that's where the "UK" would go. If that's the case, you can find further specs here: ThinkPad Tablets and Convertibles (W.E.)
According to that, the differences are that the 20CD000M++ has a conventional HDD + a small cache SSD, where the 20CD00AJ++ has a hybrid drive. The AJ also includes a Mini-HDMI to VGA Cable.
I admit to guessing a bit at this, so please double-check with the vendor if you can.

Can more than one version of the Java Plugin be loaded on a PC together?

I have an annoyance. We are an automotive component supplier. For Chrysler, we are required, several times a day, go onto their website and access a system called S.M.A.R.T. that runs in a Java applet. The requirements for that applet is that we have Sun Java Runtime version 1.3.1_01 or lower loaded to the accessing PC. For Toyota, we need to access their website to print shipping labels. That runs with a Java applet that requires Sun Java Runtime 1.4. Can both of those versions be loaded to one PC together and then enabled and disabled as the different websites are accessed? The quick answer is yes, but it depends a lot on how the jsp tag etc. is configured at each of the web sites you are visiting.
If you take a look at the source and find the applet load tag, you can figure out whether they are specifying a dynamic or static versioning. Depending on how they write their tag, it may or may not force loading of a given browser plugin... to me this looks like you are getting a ping pong effect.

Is there a 64 bit version of the new beta drivers? I'm interested in the faster data reading capabilities, but need to be able to work on 32 and 64 bit.

Will the new iPad open password protected PDF files?

I attend college online, and have always had a problem viewing password protected PDF files on my iPad. Will the new iPad allow opening these files?

Download the free Adobe Reader app from the App Store. It opens password protected PDFs just like thee desktop version.

Can I have more than one version of Reader on the same machine?

I'm running Reader 8 because I like the user interface better than the more recent versions. I'd like to also install the latest version only for some integrated tools that require it for use with AIR. Can I have both installed? I don't see any options when I try to download and install the latest versions (like where to install the software. Ideally I'd like Reader 8 to be my default application to open .pdf documents.

Thanks for the reply. In the meantime I have found that my integrated tools (Xilinx Document Navigator) allow me to open documents externally using any version / brand of reader. It's not quite as nice as seeing the documents in the tool's own windows, but it's a good enough option for me given the relative infrequency I use this tool. If I decide to try to integrate the Document Navigator with Adobe Reader, I might get away with using Reader 10. Is there an app note on installing more than one version, or is this so "not recommended" that I'm on my own if I want to try it?

My project has a bunch of ProRes files referenced... even when I move them, and After Effects marks them as offline, I just get this: Last log message was: <140735209366288> <ae.blitpipe> <2> Making New Context.
I have done some searching, and even if I go to Google, and put the search in quotes, I get nothing. It doesn't sound like anyone else has had just this problem.
Help?

Sounds like the ProRes files are encoded oddly in a format that AE's own handler can't understand and while falling back to QT it crashes. I believe there are some known issues with this for ProRes 444, but then again I'm not a Mac guy...

Is there a way to put an item under more than one calendar at the same time?

I use the calendar to keep track of not only my schedule, but my entire family's. For years I had a calendar labeled 'kids.' Now as they're getting older it would be easier to have an individual calendar for each child. Easier for me to track where they are and they could have they're own calendar on their iphone or iphone touch since we all share one cloud account. However, frequently more than one is at the same activity. The calendar program will only allow me to select one calendar to place an event under; as soon as I select another, it deselects the first. Is there a way to place an event under more than one calendar?
(Since I'm still the one driving that needs to know date, time, place, etc type details I don't want them adding it to their own schedule - maybe - on their devides and synching through cloud)

You can create many calendars. Here's the tip:
Example: you have 1 son and 1 daughter.
In iCloud ( https://www.icloud.com )
Create 1 calendar called Son ( Choose a color to tell them apart )
Create 1 calendar called Daughter ( Ditto )
Create 1 calendar called Kids
Since you are the creator, you get to see all calendars combined.
Send invitations to each of them
Son gets Son and Kids calendars
Daughter gets Daughter and Kids calendars
So if there an event for Son, just put in that calendar
If it's for both then enter it in the Kids calendar
Likewise for daughter.

In iOS 7 GameCenter, is there a way to view more than 75 scores on the Leaderboard?

I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 7. With iOS 6, I could view more than 75 scores on the GameCenter Leaderboard for various games. Now with iOS 7, it appears to be limited to only the top 75 scores. Is there a preference to allow more scores to be displayed, or is this game specific. Your thoughts are appreciated.

Do NOT repeat NOT use open in timeline. That function is for a specific purpose usually related to clip sync.
Create a new project and edit your audio into the project not inside another clip's timeline.

hello, is there a way to make a word processing document in pages with !" inch margins? i ask this because there is a box where you can write text and the you start your document, but it takes more than 1 inch from the top, can that box be removed? and why whatever you write in the box appears in every page of the paper? is there a way to avoid this? sorry I do not use computers very often and i just want to write an essay for my english clss, thanks for your help.

The box is called Headers and is used for thing that will be repeated on several pages like page numbering and names etc.. You can uncheck it in the Inspector > Document tab
