Is there no labview2010 support for USB 8451?

I bought this USB-8451 recently... however I am astonished to find that there are no SPI/I2C supporting vi's for labview 2010!!!! is it true or I am makin mistakes finding the USB-8451 related vi's
Now on LabVIEW 10.0 on Win7

Did you do an install of the device driver DVD AFTER installation of LabVIEW 2010? And make sure to go in the component selection and to enable installation of the NI 845x drivers.

  • Canvio External HDD HDWC130XK3J1 -Is There Really No Support For This?

I bought a Toshiba Canvio 3TB external HDD USB 3 model number:  HDWC130XK3J1.
When I access the Product Support page of Toshiba, there is no model number for the HDWC130XK3JI (but there is for an HDWC120XK3J1).
Is there really no support for the 3 TB model?  For example, how do I go about making a warranty claim when the warranty tab  - Enter your Serial Number and / or Model-Part Number (computer, tablet, TV only) - will not even recognise my serial number?  Very frustrating!

  • Support for USB cameras in VBAI?

NI have a free driver that allows Vision 7.1 to access USB 2 cameras. Is there anything similar available for VBAI that would allow me to use an industrial USB 2.0 camera?

The free NI-IMAQ for USB Cameras driver is meant to support simple USB webcams that use DirectShow.  For machine vision or scientific imaging applications, most USB cameras don't have the performance or the features needed, like triggering.  The primary "customer" for the free driver has been universities that use webcams in labs.
With that said, there are a few industrial USB cameras out there that can be used for machine vision.  The problem is tha there is no industrial USB camera standard that covers them all (like there is with FireWire), so companies like National Instruments would have to provide and support different drivers and software tools for every indutrial USB camera.
A better solution is IEEE 1394 (or FireWire).  They offer the same performance as USB 2.0 cameras and are around the same price.  On top of that, almost every large industrial camera manufacture has a line of industrial FireWire cameras (including Sony, Basler, FLIR, and Cohu), and they all conform to the same DCAM (or IIDC) standard.  WIth this standard, our one driver, NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 Cameras, works with all of them.
Vision Builder AI is designed to solve machine vision applications without programming, while USB cameras usually don't provide the triggering or advanced modes necessary for machine vision.  Because machine vision and USB cameras don't usually go together, we didn't provide support for USB cameras within Vision Builder AI.  My question to you, another_novice, is why would you like to use a USB camera with Vision Builder AI?  Are there particular features in a certain USB camera that you can't find in other cameras?  I would really like to know so we can get a better picture of how our customers are using our products.
    Thank you.

  • Is there any commercial support for LCCS services? What are the associated SLAs

    Hi,
Following are some queries regarding LCCS.
Is there any commercial support for LCCS services? What are the associated SLAs of the support and the cost?
Can I Using applications developed using LCCS for commercial purpose?
Does Adobe allows its LCCS service customers to offer applications developed using LCCS API for 3rd party commercial usage.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
We were selling LCCS to enterprise customer under a different licensing program, but have since stopped the sale of that.

  • Is there any planned support for the "do not back up" extended attribute for iOS

Starting in iOS 5.0.1, Apple has introduced a new "do not back up" extended file attribute that will allow an app to store downloaded data into the application folder.  Is there any planned support for setting this attribute within an AIR application or is there currently a way to set this attribute using the existing AIR SDK.

Yes, this is exactly what I'm wondering too. Without it, we can't build any apps that download content without the risk of the content being deleted.
Here's the background before Apple introduced the new "do not back up" attribute:
    http://www.marco.org/2011/10/13/ios5-caches-cleaning
Fortunately, Apple addressed it after that blog post in 5.0.1. See bullet #4 here, quoted below
    https://developer.apple.com/icloud/documentation/data-storage/
Q:  My app has a number of files that need to be stored on the device permanently for my app to function properly offline. However, those files do not contain user data and don't need to be backed up. How should I store those files in iOS 5?
A: Starting in iOS 5.0.1 a new "do not back up" file attribute has been introduced allowing developers to clearly specify which files should be backed up, which files are local caches only and subject to purge, and which files should not be backed up but should also not be purged. In addition, setting this attribute on a folder will prevent the folder and all of its contents from being backed up.
Important: The new "do not back up" attribute will only be used by iOS 5.0.1 or later. On iOS 5.0 and earlier, applications will need to store their data in <Application_Home>/Library/Caches to avoid having it backed up. Since this attribute is ignored on older systems, you will need to insure your app complies with the iOS Data Storage Guidelines on all versions of iOS that your application supports.
Now we just need Adobe to support the attribute in the AIR SDK. What do you say Adobe?

  • Is there any Java support for RFC 3229?

    Hi,
RFC 3229 appears to be the modern form of HTTP DRP. Is there any Java support for this at all? Are there any Java HTTP servers, HTTP client libraries that support it?

Since we are all fellow users on here, not much we can offer in the way of a reliable answer...you might try letting Apple know your needs:

If enough people make their needs known, Apple may do something as you suggest.

  • No support for USB 3 devices on MBA 2013

When I bought the first MacBook Air (mid-2013) I was disappointed to discover that none of my USB 3 devices (external HD and flash card readers) worked with it. Then even USB 2 devices stopped working. I brought it back to the Apple store and was given a new unit. USB 2 devices work with it, but not USB 3 ones. Now, reading this forum and other discussions made me realize that Apple, in a typical Applesque fashion, released a faulty product and will not admit that it created a problem for its gullible consumers – the USB 3 ports on Mac Book Air are underpowered and thus unable to support many USB 3 devices. It is likely that much later Apple will release a firmware update that addresses this issue, once the complaints from user reach a certain critical threshold. But until then we, the Apple suckers, must wait and hope.

Ive got 96 hard drives, of various brands. Ive had no less than 50 of them hooked to the Macbook Air.
If you have a western digital drive (likely), try a different Hard Drive.
There are no USB 3 issues with the Macbook Air.
Again, you didnt mention what USB3 device you have an issue with.
*That link you posted is a year old and the OP hooked the HD to several other Macs and it still didnt work..., meaning he had a faulty HD.
Other mentions were oddball OWC enclosures with power issues, not related to the Mac at all, and Verbatim memory sticks
So, the post you make a link to isnt at all relavent to any issue with the Macbook Air, current 2013 or 2012

  • Bootcamp - Seems there is no Support for Windows 8.1 once it is loaded. Just got off the Microsoft Help line and they refused to help me because I was running Win 8.1 in Bootcamp. Where do I go for help?

Bootcamp - Seems there is no Support from Microsoft  for Windows 8.1, once it is loaded.
I Just got off the Microsoft Technical Help line (Australia ph132058) and they refused to help me because I am running Win 8.1 in Bootcamp.
I have the latest Mac Book Pro Retina with a 1TB Solid State Hard drive running Win 8.1, beautiful machine, but its slower than my old MBP running windows 7 on a standard Drive.
The niggiling problem is that it seems to hang up for seven or 8 seconds on menial tasks........ like generating a new Folder or Note etc. Otherwise it runs reasonably well but not blindingly fast....
I wasn't aware Microsoft refused to help win 8.1 users on the Mac Platform........ shouldn't this Information be made more public...! Seems they are keen to drive potential Windows users away!!
Any suggestions on where I should go for help on this (Windows/Bootcamp in General) would be much appreciated ? ........ don't mind paying a reasonable price if the service is good......
I guess the wheel has turned and Microsoft are having a go at Apple again...?
    Many thanks ....... Martin V

    Thanks Turbostar.
I was thinking along the same lines. I installed Win 8.0 Pro and upgraded to 8.1 ........ probably a bad move.
I have bought a new 8.1 Licence but cant risk doing a complete reinstall until I have a back up machine ready. (My old MBP is getting a new hard drive) ......... so will give that a go in about a weeks time when the back up is in place. Cant risk having nothing!
When you say "Clean Install" ..... do you mean everything ..... as in Reformat the Bootcamp sector and start from scratch.?
I have a 2 TB LaCie Thunderbolt drive with my back up data on ..... is there a way to make the Reinstall process and large amount of Data transfer easy?
The reinstall is something I need to read up on. I was hoping the solution might be some kind of Tune up on the SSHD.
Good to hear you have a number of MBP's that are flying, I would be disappointed if the final quality wasnt a bit better.
..... do you have any tips on screen Res on the Retina ..... I am running Windows at 125% Zoom, but the Bluetooth, power, wireless, Date Icons etc are all still tiny ...... could really do with an alternative to the old "Advanced Appearance Settings"
    cheers ..... Martin V
