Is there no time line recording with FCE 4 (recent update)

Hi Folks:
I converted to FCE 4.0 back in the fall but had not edited anything.
This past week I put together a 6-camera music performance for a friend. When finished, I tried to record it to tape, from the timeline, using my deck (Sony HVR15). It wouldn't record.
After days of trying to match up all the variables, reading, and experimentation, it appears Apple doesn't even mention recording from the timeline as an option now and only "export" or "print to video" is advised. Is this the case or am I not holding my mouth right?
I did successfully "print to video" last evening, but the process took nearly seven hours to complete. I started the function at 2:30 A.M. this morning and it finished at 9:30 A.M. this morning. (no, I didn't stay up) This certainly ties up my computer for awhile.
It seems there are other not so wanted changes in the update. I think I remember being able to toggle with the arrow keys one frame at a time and hearing the audio. I no longer can hear the audio. Also, I don't remember having to lock the video track in order to cut the audio without cutting the video.
Looks like I might need to update to FCP or am I opening up another can of worms? Sorry for the 20 questions but a little frustrated after this ordeal. Again. (as a retired producer/director of 40 years, I always had an editor to do these things for me. Now. . .)

Well, I can attempt to answer some of your questions:

Make sure +View > Audio Scrubbing+ is checked.
I don't remember having to lock the video track in order to cut the audio without cutting the video
Are you using the blade tool? Whatever you are doing, holding down the Option key while cutting/trimming should allow you to modify one track (video or audio) at a time without having to unlink tracks.
As for the recording from timeline, I'll have to yield to those of greater knowledge.

U can change radio button option in per document tab of document settings for sales order,
Either change it to without warning / warning only When duplicated customer reference no. occurs.
Modify customer reference number by including dot at end.

Now when that aplication or extention from Itune is working my computor froze to a huge alt. I play video games online and love listening to my music with itune playing in the background and normally was able to have firefox open and a program called ventrillo all working at the same time and now i can barelly have itune and play a game. As soon it start been choppy i just control alt delete wait 5 minute to close down apsdaemon.exe when i'm capable most of the time i have to restart my computor. And why is it so Heavy consuming on the process its memory utility is under the 100ko i believe so why 99% of my processus is been use ?
a good exemple i could give is itune.exe working it shows process 02% for 123 000ko that is light and perfect.

You don't get a choice. If you decide to update, your phone will be updated to the latest iOS version available for your phone. For you, that's iOS 7.0.4.

Hello All, yesterday afternoon I just lost all recent updates to my iCal from the last days. How can this possibly happen ??? It may have occured after I chose the Refresh function after I had problems searching my iCal for a particular event. I think my iPhone was also not properly synched in the morning but I didn't pay it much attention and opened iCal on my MacBookAir instead.
How can I prevent this from happening again?

Random glitch. It doesn't matter; if you didn't backup the data, then you can't recover the data.
In the future, for any 'important' data, back up that data regularly. Forward the 'important' text messages to your email. Trasnfer your photos & videos to your computer, etcetera.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

Multi-Line records with Condition?

Hello, Can somebody help me with this query please?
Can we have conditional 'Data Merge'? To give an example: I have a CSV file with multi line records referencing to a CUSTOMERID (ie:Parent - Child type relation). So on each page (ie:each CUSTOMERID) I need to print all records for that CUSTOMERID.
I think we have to use the 'Scripting' option for this, but don't know how to use/run this at "DYNAMIC PRINT".

I would suggest that you check the settings in the Multiline Style block for Address Standardization style. There are settings available here for combining address data. Verfiy which ones you have enabled. Also in this same block is a setting for Swap Address Line, which controls where blank lines will be moved for output.
If you require more detailed information regarding this, I would recommend that you log an incident via the SAP Service Marketplace (service.sap.com), so that support can provide assistance with researching this issue.
You will need your S-User login information in order to log an incident.
When creating the incident, make sure to enter the component BOJ-EIM-COR so that your question is directed to the correct support team for << product name>>.

Printing only one line record with total of all items through alv

hi experts,
i am facing a problem while printing a list through alv.
requirement is, suppose i have 3 line items under one document no.
i have to print only one record with total amount of all items.more clearly...
1001 10 1000/-
1001 20    234/-
1001 30   540/- these records in internal table then i am passing it to reuse_alv_grid_display.
i need to display only 1001 1774/-(means sum of all the items)
please tell me how to do this.

StarWalk compass stopped working with their most recent update.

My favorite application on my iPad used to be Starwalk. Ever since their most recent update on April 30, the internal compass stopped working (which is basically the backbone of the entire app). I contacted Vito technology (the developer) - it took a long time to get a response, but after several efforts they finally replied that there was a flaw in the iPad's internal Magnetometer, that it had nothing to do with their software, and there was nothing they could do about it - I should take it up with Apple. The app worked perfectly until their most recent update. I looked at their reviews/comments and numerous people were making the exact same complaint, and everyone said it stopped working as the result of the April 30 Starwalk update. I have one friend with a 3G iPad and the app still works fine for him. I have another friend with a wiFi version like me, and the app ALSO stopped working for him on April 30. So I understand not all iPads are affected.
So am I supposed to take this up with Apple now and tell them there is a flaw in their magnetometer that caused StarWalk to break as of their last update, and see if they can fix all our devices?
I don't believe Vito's assertion that their software is not at fault (considering so many people are complaining in their negative reviews that the last update triggered this breakage).
I'm frustrated and wonder if anyone else is experiencing this. Starwalk used to be my favorite app, and its even more frustrating to listen to the developer tell me its a device flaw that's been there all along, when me and many other people all had simultaneous magnetometer problems develop on April 30 - the moment we installed their last update.

Just that I have the latest from April 30 and there are no updates that are available to me. I guess you have the wifi only version as I do? I can't quite figure out why this would be affecting some people and not others. If you go to the StarWalk page on iTunes you'll see the list of people complaining about the same thing. In iTunes it also says my iPad software is up to date (I assume that means the OS/firmware).
So do you guys think this is something I take up with StarWalk or Apple? I feel a little ripped off that Vito has sold me a $6 app (granted that is not much) that has stopped working, and they are telling me its a flaw in the device.
I'll paste the response I received from Vito below. Bear in mind that although they say this has nothing to do with their software, all of the people who are complaining had a functioning app before April 30, and it stopped working as soon as we made that update.

In specific circumstances iPhone/iPad digital compass (magnetometer) may operate with difficulties, essentially causing errors in all applications that rely on its data.
Unfortunately, we cannot fix this particular problem, because it is caused by the digital compass malfunction and has nothing to do with our software. However, we are happy to offer you directions which may help you avoid experiencing this inconvenience in the future.
For better functioning of the digital compass consider doing the following:
1) Tilt your device from landscape to portrait orientation several times. This will help the digital compass recalibrate itself and calculate current position.
2) Make sure the compass is not obstructed by thick walls of buildings or large amounts of metal nearby. Try going outside.
3) Consider trying again later. Sometimes it is unclear what may be influencing the magnetometer.
If you need more information, please read the magnetometer specifications below.

When a link opens a new email box window, there is no text box, ever since the recent update--my problem, or Firefox glitch?

I tried to be pretty complete with the one line question. When I hit reply to an email, all works fine. If I click on a live email link and that causes a new window with email to open, the address boxes are there (From, To) but there is no box present into which I could type an actual message. This began I am just about certain after the most recent update.

You can do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Help!! With Firefox's recent updates, I am unable to open the MP4 files I created in Camtasia and uploaded to Blackboard. I teach at St. John Fisher College.

The college where I work requests that we use Firefox and I am happy to do so. However, in the past few weeks, MP4 files that have worked fine are no longer working because something in Firefox's very recent updates keeps blocking them! I SO wish I had not downloaded your updates.
At St. John Fisher College we use Blackboard CMS. I created many MP4 instructional video tutorials using Camtasia. Our IT department uploads them to Ensemble, then onto our Blackboard courses. For months the videos worked perfectly in Firefox....but no more.
At this moment, every time I try to open them, I must click on the shield at the top left of the screen and disable the protectors.
Dozens of students are required to use these videos. It will be impossible for me to alert them as to the "workaround" that will allow them to watch the tutorials.
Alas, Firefox, always so sleek and easy to use, has become a burden to me:(

Can you convert the URLs for the MP4s to use HTTPS instead of HTTP? There are a couple of ways:
(1) If the URLs are hard-coded in each page, many manual edits.
(2) If an iframe is inserted by a script, edit the script.
As resources for students in case this can't be done easily/quickly, there is the Firefox support article, and there is an add-on which can temporarily allow Firefox users to disable mixed content blocking. Unfortunately, that is a global setting, not a site-by-site setting.

Meid no longer working with ting after recent update

Hey guys i have a 4s with an meid of 99000, was working fine then the recent update seems to have changed the meid or something because it was different then the one originally supplied to ting my provider, and it no longer works on any network it seems,
it was my wifes phone on the sprint network and worked fine on ting for a couple years until recently
any idea on what i can do? or how to fix?

i think its the sim card i get 2 bars without it and no service with the sim card in, does this sound right?

Does On Location Cs4 Support Time Lapse HDV Recording?

HArm, I believe the poster was asking if Ol does time lapse capture of real time video. It does not. If the source video is already time lapse, then of course it can. but if this was the situation I doubt they would be asking the question.
This feature was in old versions of Premiere 6 and 6.5 so many folks were hoping it would reappear in Pr or Ol at some point. It hasnt yet. (You could tell premiere 6.5 to capture say every 200th frame)

I'm putting together a Flash presentation using MX 2004 on a
mac.
A few years ago I worked on a Flash presentation that allowed
me to either right arrow click to progress to the next Anchor tag
and left arrow click to go back to the previous Anchor tag. I can't
remember how I went about it as I mainly use Flash for just simple
animations.
Can anyone help?
