Is there no way to find out when Cabinet 80 in E14...

Hello!
About three years ago BT sent out leaflets to all locals at E14 9FP to register their interest in Fibre-optic upgrade for our area. So we all filled them in and where happy to wait. Now POPLAR Exchange has been Fibre enabled for a long time and most Poplar area cabinets have been upgraded (including my other property at E14 6BH that now has Infinity installed). I live in heavy populated area E14 9FP Baltimore Wharf and our Cabinet 80 is still not upgraded. When I e-mailed Openreach about this they sent me a generic copy pasted e-mail that stated lines for their FAQ page that I read before even sending them e-mail in first place and obviously FAQ didn't have any answers for my area because it is generic for ALL UK LOCATIONS. Basicaly they ignored us and did not provide any answers. Also their e-mail said that they will not reply again.
So I'm writing here to try and get some answers to what is actually happening? Is Cabinet 80 under review? Is BT waiting for permission from council? Is it even in plans to upgrade it at all?
We as a community what a solid answer. Even if it is a "No upgrade for you" answer. Then at least we can make peace with it and explore other options(mobile or sottilite internet providers, etc.)
Thank you for your time!
I hope to hear from BT support on this topic soon.
P.S. I also checked at www.btwholesale.com with their Broadband Availability checker and there is no information regarding any plans or dates. Just saying... in case someone whanted to advise me to check there. I tried ALL options available online and over the phone. NO ONE could help me get to the bottom of this.

This is a BT residential customer to customer forum.
The placing and commissioning of cabinets is done by Openreach and is outwith the control of the ISPs. There are many reasons why a cabinet is not upgraded and the only people who will be able to answer that question is Openreach.
I am surprised that they did not give you more information when you emailed them, unless of course at that time they may not have known what if any problems they may have with upgrading your cabinet.
Email Openreach on [email protected] giving them your cabinet number, exchange, telephone number and address and they should be able to reply with the up to date information. They can take a couple of weeks to reply.
If you as a community don't get an answer from Openreach you may wish to ask your MP about it as this often helps get answers if not necessarily cabinets upgraded.

  • HT4757 Is there a way to find out when a raw file type will be supported?

I have a Fuji X-Pro1.  It hit the market in January/Febrary 2012.  It's RAF file is different than the X100 which is supported.
Also- I like to use NITF 2.1.  Is there any committment for this format?
Is there a forecast or product roadmap for digital imagery sensors from the different camera makers or does it take inquiries from forums like this to attract product marketing attention?
For those not familiar - The National Imagery Transmission Format (NITF) is a principal standard format for digital imagery, metadata and imagery-related products for the United States, International Standards Organization (ISO), American National Standards Institute (ISO/ANSI) and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) (STANAG-4545).
The X-Trans sensor of the Fuji, the Foveon sensor of the Sigma, 3-CCD cameras, and a few others do not use the standard 2x2 Bayer (1976) filter on the sensor.  And I haven't decomposed the X-Pro1 file set to see how closely it follows the ISO 12234-2, better known as TIFF/EP.
I don't know if this or other collateral RPC metadata are evaluated items by the Apple product managers.   This impedance being a possible source of resistance to support new radiometric sensor data profiles and sensor models.

You might want to submit feedback to Apple since we are all users here just like you - that might be the best way to let Apple know.

  • HT5787 What do I do if my iPod was stolen and I checked my support profile and when I entered the serial # I got a message saying it has been registered to another Apple ID? Is there a way to find out that Apple ID so that we can locate the iPod?

What should I do if my iPod has been stolen and when I checked my support profile and entered my serial # and I received a message that the serial # had been registered to another Apple ID account? Is there a way to find out the Apple ID that it was registered to? I have already checked find my iPod and it shows my iPod is offline. I have already filed a police report.

No, sorry, there is no way you can get that information. The police perhaps could, but it would probably require a court order and it's unlikely the police will go to those lengths unless they have reason to believe that this theft was not an isolated instance and hence worth more of their time than the single theft of an iPod.
Even if they got the ID, it may well just be yours. Apple's registration database often contains such errors; I get the same message for some of my devices when I know I registered them to my Apple ID and the devices are all still right here.

  • Is there a way of finding out what has been accessed on my MacBook Pro whilst in the possession of an apple authorised service centre?

    Hi Guys,
I'm a bit new to this discussion group thing although I've been using Macintosh computers for many years (showing my age).
I handed my MacBook Pro to be repaired at an authorised apple service centre. When I handed it in they said they needed to keep hold of it to run some diagnostics and requested my password. I've owned various models of mac for the the past 17 years and this is the first hardware problem I have encountered, hence I have never bothered to set up user accounts.
As I live in quite a remote part of Sweden I am paranoid that some untrusted technician is going to make a copy of my music (11,000 tracks) or share some of my personal information (scanned copies of my birth certificate, passport, certificates, photos, etc.) on the web. Is there a way of finding out what activity has taken place whilst they've had it in their possession?
I appreciate any advice you guys can offer.
    Thanks!
PS: I've already thought about the 'recently opened' menu and The machine in question is a MacBook Pro 17" (2011) running OS X 10.6.8 (need Rosetta).

I am paranoid that some untrusted technician is going to make a copy of my music (11,000 tracks) or share some of my personal information (scanned copies of my birth certificate, passport, certificates, photos, etc.) on the web.
If you put your info into the computer and hand it to another, you have to assume they will copy everything.
Why are you putting scanned copies of valuable identity information into a computer than can be hacked, stolen, lost or compromised by a dirty tech?
    Have you lost your mind?
Is there a way of finding out what activity has taken place whilst they've had it in their possession?
No. The tech would just deny it if he did, or tell the truth which the answer would be "NO" in either case.
The employer won't ask that sort of questions without solid proof, less they make a enemy of the employee and/or risk being sued for defamation of character.
It's not like they bother to have a team of people watching over his shoulder that he doesn't stick a USB thumb drive of your data into his pocket to take home.
I am paranoid that some untrusted technician is going to make a copy of my music (11,000 tracks)
If it's iTunes music, it has your personal ID embedded into the song files. Most IT techs know this though.
I appreciate any advice you guys can offer.
Too late now, all you can do is not worry about it.
Take your personal info out of the machine and if you need it, burn cd/dvd copies, a few USB thumb drives, Iron Keys or self encrypting external storage drives with key and/or keypad.

  • HT4972 2nd generation ipod touch is pretty much no good anymore?  It is not able to upgrade to iOS5.1 and so will not work with many of the Apps now available in the App store.  Is there any way to find out which apps will work with 2nd generat

2nd generation ipod touch is pretty much no good anymore?  It is not able to upgrade to iOS5.1 and so will not work with many Apps in the iTunes store?  Is there a way to find out if the App will work before you download?

Look to the app developer to provide that information when browsing the iTunes Store.
The iPod Touch still works, so what's your problem with it? It still works with older apps, it still does what it's intended to do.
If you aren't happy then sell it and buy a new one.

  • Is there a way to find out, whether the student or the full version is currently installed?

    Hi everyone!
    First of all: Merry Christmas!
A longer text with some background information is following. My question will be at the bottom.
My computer is a good boy and it didn't disappoint me for quite a while now.
I had once installed the student version (german) of CS3 extended on this one.
Then, after having removed the student version some time later when needed, I have re-installed the full version.
This time, however, it was in english and it wasn't the extended version either.
After the software has accepted my serial id, I was quite content. It felt much better in english and I was able to use photoshop to the fullest once again.
Today, I have gotten my hands on the upgrade version to CS5 (again in english and not extended, but that's all I need).
After the installation guide has told me, that there are no programmes installed which are compatible to the upgrade, I was confused.
I have realised that my current CS3 version was still the extended one, even though it was in english and it wasn't the student version either (at least, that's what I believe, because there were no "activate"/"deactivate" buttons in the help menu where it used to be in the german student version before).
So while doing an upgrade to CS5, I had to chose CS3 extended from the list and had to type in the old student's version serial number.
Nothing else worked, even though I've tried to chose the CS3 version in combination with the other serial number, which belong to the full version both.
    Now to my question:
Is there a way to find out, whether the student or the full version is currently installed?
(Other than looking at the box of course, that would be quite trivial. I am worried if the installation guide hasn't removed all components thoroughly.)
    Thanks in advance,
    Happy holidays,
    Jeff

    Thanks for the reply!
That's what I thought as well. However, that wasn't the case. Whether it's the educational or the full version, both splash screens looked the same.
At least for the CS3 version.I know how I was quite confused about that in the past when I'd realised that.
The CS5 splash screen didn't say anything about a student version, but I was able to deactivate the application. I thought this was possible for the student version only.
I've tried using the adobe clean program like suggested, but that didn't work either. The installation guide of CS5 still didn't bother asking for an older version.
I.e.: It still used the educational serial number from before.
After reinstalling windows on my pc, the installation guide finally wanted to know about my CS3 again.
However, it told me, that the serial number of the full version in combination with CS3 is not valid. Just like it did before.
Maybe it's because the full version was made in the USA and the CS5 upgrade version was made in Austria - Ireland?
    That would be really frustrating.

  • Is there a way to find out whether all of my music files have been imported to iTunes?

Is there a way to find  out whether all of my music files on the computer have been imported to iTunes?
I want to consolidate my music files to tidy it all up into one place, and then delete the originals. I don't want to delete any music until I know that it's all been imported.
    Thanks.

Try iTunes Folder Watch and point it all the places you store media. When you're happy everything has been imported you can consolidate.

call them, tell them you NEED a new battery installed, and they need to tell you when they can do it.  That is their job to help you! Give pushback if necessary.

  • Is there a way to find out who keeps signing onto my apple ID and changing my password?

Is there a way to find out who keeps signing onto my apple ID and changing my password?
Every so often I get an email saying my password has been changed (when I don't change it). Is there anyway to find out an IP address, or a phone number or something of who keeps signing into my account? It's really annoying.

Change your password, and do not tell anyone the new password.

  • N97... is there a way to find out if it's network ...

I know, not the best idea to buy these products on ebay, but I'm afraid I've done it and now looking for any advice anybody can give!
First of all the seller told me it was unlocked and had his location down as Ireland, which is where I'm based.  I therefore presumed it had been checked on Irish networks.
However when the phone arrived it had come from Poland and was made in China.
When I insert my sim and switch it on it just says "insert sim".  I'm wondering if this is because it's locked or a fault in the phone.  The seller insists he had tried it and it was unlocked.  Of course, I now realise he would have tried it in Poland, not a whole lot of use to me.
Is there a way of finding out which network it is locked to?  Or even if the phone is a genuine nokia product.
    Any advice appreciated!

If the games come up in Chinese script then I'm SURE you have bought a Fake. I bought a Fake phone on ebay from a seller in Ireland about a year ago.
I didnt bother with paypal to start, I sent him an email :-
"I have recieved the phone and suspected it was a fake copy. I have taken it to my local Nokia Store and a branch of Phones4you. Both shops confirmed it is a fake, they went to the trouble of comparing to the real thing in the shop.
    I have done my research:
    My local Trading Standards Office
    address
    telephone
    website
    email
    Your local Trading Standards Office
    address
    telephone
    website
    email
I am sorry if you too have been conned but I will pursue you through Trading Standards, the Police & Paypal.
Please send me money back within 2 days or I will contact all 3 agencies without delay. Give me a refund and that will be the end of it"
That worked, I got my money back, He did ask me to return the phone, I sent it to trading standards.

  • Is there a way of finding out what lists in sharepoint are being looked up for document templates etc

    Hi,
I am currently in the middle of setting up SharePoint sites and have come across many lists that have not been updated for a while. I am wondering is there a way of finding out what lists are being used and what lists aren't being used for example I would
like to find out if a list is being used for a look up.

I don't think there any such option available OOTB, however you can use PowerShell to get such information e.g.
    $web = Get-SPWeb http://localhost
    $f = $web.Lists["Contact"].Fields["Customer"]
    $f.ListsFieldUsedIn()
    $web.Dispose()
    Check this link: http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/45574/is-a-list-being-used-as-a-lookup-for-some-web-part-in-the-site-collection
