Assuming the screenshots are of the same page, the one that's taller is either taller because the minimum page height has been changed or due to some page content (that's not marked as a Footer Item) being located in the new space. This may be an empty text frame or the transparent area of a widget, text frame or other object.

The easiest way to put a YouTube video in iWeb...

Whew! I am so stinkin' proud of myself. Now this tip isn't for you techno gurus out there. This is for the person who is as clueless about half the files on their computer as I am.
I have a blog. I tried to use iWebMore...I've tried iWebEnhancer...etc, etc. I just can't figure out how to import YouTube with those. I've got major iDisk issues that I cannot identify much less resolve.
So here's the tip. A couple weeks ago I downloaded a widget called TubeSock for YouTube videos. I finally opened it up to see what it was and guess what? All you do is copy the url of the video right into Tubesock and "save" it to "video for Mac" and "add to movies folder." Ta-da! So then in iWeb you just insert a movie clip and it's right in there. Drop and drag!
If you download TubeSock for free, then it only records 30 seconds of the video. But registering it for $15 lets you download the entire video. (Some of us will pay anything for easy!)
Let me know if you're as happy about this as I am because I cannot BELIEVE I figured something out on my own!!!

Great find Gina. The best thing about using uTube on your site is that it doesn't use up your bandwidth. And I can also tell you that once you figure out how to do one thing with iWeb the rest comes very easy. Hopefully in the next version of iWeb you will be able to add a piece of HTML code right in the site, rather than having to add it post publish. Keep up the good work!
P.S. If your interested in the way to add a uTube video in your iweb site just post your question in here. There are a lot of talented people in this forum willing to share information and ideas.

How do I convert a youtube video into a MP4 format so I can use it in part of my Keynote presentation? Is there a Mac app for that?

How do you put a youtube video into keynotes

Hi,
I'm doing a presentation using Keynotes and would like to put some you tube videos in it. How do I do that. I've searched in google, but can't find a method that works.

Here's what I just did, and it works:
1. Open Firefox, which already had DownloadHelper installed, went to youtube, tried to DL a video, didn't work. Strange, because I'm sure I'd DL'd youtube videos that way before.
2. Looked around on Firefox's site for other add-ons, and found *1-click YouTube Video Downloader 1.3*, DL'd and installed it, and read the directions.
3. Back to YouTube, clicked on a video, clicked on MP4 (immediately under the video window, on the right). The video DL'd with no problem.
So now I had this MP4 file on my Mac.
4. Opened KN, made a new test file, on the second slide: +Insert > Choose+, navigated to the MP4 file and inserted it.
5. In Inspector, I tried 2 different settings, one to start the video automatically after transition, the other to start on click. Both work fine.

Can I insert a YouTube video on a slide in my powerpoint so that I can play the video as part of my presentation without leaving my slideshow?

You would need to download and save the video from Youtube first.

Problems adding YouTube videos to a Clearbox 2.0 Lightbox

     I'm still fairly new to web design and Dreamweaver CS6. I am trying to put some YouTube videos into a Clearbox 2.0 Lightbox -- seems like a very elegant and effective way to display the videos. I have used the Clearbox 2.0 Lightbox successfully with still images/jpg files. When I try to use it to link to a YouTube video, however, I get a blank white box when I test it online. I know that it is possible to display YouTube videos in Clearbox: the example file includes a YouTube video, and it plays when tested. Here is the code that is included in the example file:

Thank you for the response, Sudarshan. I did not have the page online, and in the process of trying to put something together to upload for you, I figured it out. For the benefit of others who may run into the same problem, here was the solution.
In the code above, I was removing the sample YouTube http:// link and replacing it with the YouTube http:// link that I wanted. However, there was one more step that I needed to do. In that link, after http://www.youtube.com/ you need to replace watch?v= with v/ . Once I did that, everything worked like a charm!

Play a YouTube video using JavaFX components

I know that we can play a video ( http://zzz/xx/123.flv ), by using the Media View component in JavaFX. In the similar way, is it possible to play a YouTube video in JavaFX ?

Does anyone out there know how to transfer youtube videos to imovie11??
I'm tasked with doing a work project and I'm too much of a meat head to figure this out. All the online "tutorials" force me to download useless aps and pay for crap.

YouTube Video Sizing

Want to play movies from YouTube. Am using the widget provided in iWeb. The YouTube video plays in the little thumbnail box. Is it possible for the video to play in a larger format ?
Ideally would like the video to pop into a larger screen - then go away when the next video is selected.
Is there another way of playing YouTube video other than the provided widget ?

If you embed the YouTube video using the HTML snippet with embed code from the YouTube site you can use the full screen mode of YouTube. This demo page has videos embedded that way: Adding YouTube & Vimeo Videos.

No sound on YouTube videos since I upgraded Flashplayer. Anyone got a fix?

There is no audio on YouTube videos, and videos from any other site that uses Flashplayer. Audio is fine on sites that do not use Flashplayer. Have tried resetting Firefox, as well as removing and reinstalling Flashplayer, but with no success.

Thanks, but I had already checked out audio-related stuff and figured out that the problem had to do with the Adobe Flash Player (aka Shockwave Flash) plugin. I finally solved it by uninstalling Flash Player (using a special tool downloaded by Adobe), deleting a bunch of files created by Flash Player in various locations on my computer, and then reinstalling Flash Player. Embedding Youtube videos

I'm using FlashCS3. Can anybody tell me how(if it's even possible) to embed a youtube video in a Flash website?

I believe you will have to set the autoplay in the HTML Snipped code as demonstrated in the site. The code is also shown. I don't know if the code provided by Youtube will accept the autoplay variable but you'll just have to try.

Youtube video not working in powerpoint

i put a youtube video in a powerpoint. Got message i needed the flashplayer. hit websupport and it says successful installed. When I try to view the video, I still get the same message.

The same thing is happening to me. I'm working on putting together my final powerpoint presentation for a lecture series that I am starting in July. Previously I found the fix by deleting the phrase version=3 part, but that no longer works. I am not sure what happened. I reinstalled flash player to no success. I tried opening up previously working powerpoints and get the same error that I need to download the newest version of Flash player. I'm not sure what happened since last week cause that was when I know my presentations were working. Let me know if you figure anything out.

Convert Youtube video into Quicktime?

I am in the process of learning how to use "Keynote '09" (Version 5.3). Is there anyway to convert an youtube video into Quicktime, so that I can play the youtube video in my keynote presentation? I would not want to purchase any expensive softwares or apps for it because I do not use keynote for business but just for my community volunteer work.

Since Google seems to 'own' all videos posted on YouTube most video extractors for YouTube, once widely available, no longer work.
So your question is really moot at this point - I don't know of any way, now, to even download YouTube videos. You could always use ScreenFlow (or a similar product) to 'capture' the video and sound, but that (according to Google) would violate their terms of use for YouTube videos.

Embed youtube video in mail

Hi. I have searched but can't find the answer to this. Is it possible to embed a youtube video in a Mail message? I want the actual video to display, not just the link that you would need to click on to take you to youtube. I can do this on forums. Is it possible in Mail?
I have a 27" iMac with Snow Leopard.
