Is there really no way to get a refund for iTunes match?

Apple does not any support for iTunes Match and has not been able to make it work.
Why then, does Apple not issue a refund for a defective product?
Macbook Pro 2.7 with 8GB ram, 10.7.3 with iTunes 10.6.1
I have created a new music library, created a new user and then imported some my music and even did a fresh install of 10.7.3 and iTunes on another computer and tried that with part of my music. Same thing.
All fail and after numerous restarts, finally hangs on step 3. I have worked on this for days, letting it run for hours, like now 0 out of 888 items uploaded.
Support calls have no troubleshooting steps to suggest. The put me on hold and finally hang up. Case # 305222983
I have seen absolutly no troubleshooting suggestions here in Apple's support communities.
After all these years with Apple, this is the most misrable mess I have ever seen.

I tried calling support several times and was on hold for most of the time.
Thank you for directing me to the discussion suggesting clearing the iTunes cache. That is a great and simple solution and seems like a great first step in troubleshooting the issue. (I wish it would work for me) I have also tried reinstalling iTunes. (As well as creating a new music library and creating a new user and importing music from the "public folder".)
Apple seems to have realized the problem and are now offering refunds. iTunes match seems like a great idea. I hope they are able to get it working eventually.

  • Can i get a refund on itunes match.......it's really bad

    I purchased iTunes match over a week ago and I'm still not happy with it.
    There's far too many songs that are either still waiting or won't match/upload at all.
    If it was a product I could return to a shop for a refund I would have taken it back by now..............wish I had never paid foor it imn the first place. I really don't see the benefit of it.
    I get what it's trying to do but it fails miserably trying to do it............the one thing I liked (and probably why I bought it) was the ability to listen to any of my music (currently around 13000 songs) on my 16GB iphone....... but whats the point if it's going to take forever to stream a song and you're left waiting a long time between songs??
    It took all my songs off of my HDD so if I want to listen to a song it either had to be downloaded or streamed.........and it got rid of a lot of my album artwork which I had painstakingly gone through on every album to have.
    I've already switched it off all my devices and already turned the auto renew off..................very dissapointed with the product altogether.
    Can anyone convince me otherwise????

    I just posted up on here how great iTM is. Not 1 penny hits my pocket for saying so. I really think it's that great. Now to take a stab at trying to resolve your problem- Right away when you sign up for iTM it takes soooooooooo long to set up. I had to let it run all night a most of the following day. I had to fix some stuff too. Some of my music had to be deleted but i had the cd to back it up as well as pulling from my back up disk and time machine. The artwork issues can be a pain. I found that when you tell itunes to search for album artwork to highlight the whole album and if 1 or 2 files already have artwork, delete it. Another biggie, go through your files and get rid of the ones you don't need. Some music just needs to be kicked to the curb. Make sure it is completly set up on your computer before turning it on on your phone. Try to download your music on wifi. I figure out what i'm going to listen to at the gym and download it the night before. Don't be affraid to delete music from your device, remember it's in the cloud you can have it back any time you want. I hope this helps bud.     Hi,
    I just purchased a Dictionary app from Palm's App Catalog, the product is listed as: English Dictionary and Thesarus by Ultralingua, Inc. and it was not something that was advertised correctly and hence is not something that I want.
    It costs a whopping $9.99 and if it was as advertised, it would have been worth the money but it is not.
    I've had Dictionaries on my Palm Devices so when I saw the first directory for the WebOs for use on Pre, I immediately got it.
    However, unlike my old Palm dictionaries, this dictionary requires you to have a network connection.  Something that is not useful for me.  I sometimes like to look up word while on the subway to work (I live in NYC) where this is no network connection.
    There was nothing in the description that said it 'required' a network connection, and considering that all of the dictionaries I have gotten in the past did not require a network connection, I assumed (since it didn't state anything) that I could use it off-line.
    Heck, since you are required to use this dictionary online, I might as well use google to lookup a word and that is free!
    So I believe I was tricked into getting this app, and I want a refund!
    And there doesn't seem to be a way to get a refund for an app that did not disclose it's requirements before I made my purchase.

    Palm does have the ability to remove apps remotely, that was added in the last update.
    I knew that would be Palm's response, but I earn you now, Palm better make sure they put a better description on these apps.  And in this case its Palm's fault for not disclosing that this app required network support in order to work.
    They should at least make that part of a feature description.
    This is the second app that I purchased that was not advertised correctly.  So I far I have spent good money on crap only because the descriptions did not contain the right info.
    I see the only solution is to make all apps have at least a one hour free trail, or whatever free trial you want.
    I and I'm sure I'm not alone can't keep purchasing stuff that either doesn't work as advertised or is misleading in the description.
    I mean really Palm, you approved a dictionary app that just does a google in the background and displays the definition.
    I can do that same thing by typing it on my Pre and hitting Google?
    I still feel cheated and ripped off.
    I signed up for Palm and WebOS because I wanted to give you a second chance but that love only goes so far.  I think Andriod will be in my life soon.  I can't stand by and let myself be taken advantage of.
    I just can't believe how angry and upset I AM over this.

    thanks for the reply.  guess i'll have to do that.  apple, not really happy with what you've done with this latest update.  have not been able to enjoy my music in my car since the update.  most of us dont mind changes that progress timely, but this was much more than just a progression.  this was a complete change.  and not a good one, at all.  thanks to the two people that replied.  appreciate it.

    P.S. I'll post the problem again here:
    We publish mp4 training videos as HTML5 content and have the problem that we need to restrict the player to only play/pause.
    Adobe Captivate 7 works fantastic for us on almost all devices, many Androids, many browsers, and even on iPad. Captivate, after adding the video as a multi-slide video to one slide and publishing it as HTML5 content, only lets the student play and pause the video - just what we need.
    But then we test it on iPhone and the iPhone's internal quicktime player recognizes the mp4 video and kicks in, gives the student all the functions they want, totally overrides the HTML5 published Captivate restricted playback options.
    Is there ANY way we can get around that? Any function or box we haven't checked before publishing the HTML5 content?
    We would even be happy, if the video wouldn't play on iPhone - just as long as they can't use it to fast forward to the end of the video.
    Does anyone here know how to bypass the internal iPhone 5 player?

    By the way, I have updated to the newest Captivate 7 version and am using iOS version 7.0.4.
    Again, it's fine on iPad, but not on iPhone 5.

  • Is there a way to get historical data for an AP that is no longer online via Prime?

    I am running a wireless network with about 130 AP's connected to a 8510 controller and using Prime for management.  I am trying to get AP utilization for an AP that is no longer connected and when I try to run the report Prime reports that it cannot pull the report because the AP is offline.
    Is there some way to get historical data for this AP?  Does Prime store this type of data?

    I believe that all devices need to be up in order to pull any information current or historically.  If the AP is down, I don't think that a report in Prime will show info for that given device even if you set the date/time to when it was up. Never really looked into that as I've never tried to look at info if the access point was down. If you run a report on channel changes, does the AP show up?

    Guess you have your answer.  Maybe next time you'll read the User Guide and use the phone as recommended so this doesn't happen again.
