Is there software to cool down my AMD turion duel core (M530) processor?

What it would be is software to lower the Processor frequency thereby lowering heat output of course slowing the speed also. but if I can keep the dv4-2145dx processor from overheating, which it seems to do without hardly any load I think I can relax some. Right now it's 50 degrees centigrade, which I believe is to hot for not doing much just on the net. I have a laptop cooler under it to!! The computer is brand new so dust is not the issue................

AMD's Cool 'n Quiet application is supposed to take care of that.

50 degress C is actually not too awful for a Turion...70 is where it starts to get toasty.
Cool 'n Quiet should already be enabled on your system. Make sure the power setting is for laptop so the frequency stepping can operate. Which Windows version are you running?

Powerbook has a PowerPC G4 processor, which isn't Intel-based.

Screen won't come on after restart I must let it cool down at least 30 mins

Anytime I restart my MBP I have to wait till it cools down or the screen will remain blank. I am not sure if this is a safety precaution or just a faulty logic board. All my firmware and software is updated. I read about the thermal paste and switching the RAM chips. Switching the RAM chips works sometimes. However, with a computer as "prestigious" as the MBP, i shouldn't have to have a little phillips head on me every time I want to restart my computer. As far as the thermal paste goes, has anyone tried cleaning theres? I would like to hear someones testimony before I start dissecting mine. I know this has been a problem with allot of MBP I am curious to see if someone has found a simpler solution.

I have the exact same problem, I have to let the computer sit for a long period of time before trying to turn it on. If not, i get a solid black screen, with the front light on, and the noise from the hard disk. Any suggestions? I don't have any additional RAM installed.

Unles you are in a very high place or the iPod is in direct sunlight, there is something wrong with your iPod.
The error will go down when the iPod cools enough.

How do you cool down the iPod touch

How and is it bad if you don't?

Like Kappy said, turn it off for a while, a couple of hours at least. How hot is hot? A little warm... or too hot to handle? If you bake your iPod you can damage the battery and circuits doing permanent damage. Have seen a couple posts where people have reported there iPod's started smoking (as I remember these were heavy gamers that refused to turn off the iPods) and one stated it started on fire; don't remember the circumstance. During prolonged heavy use, like long gaming sessions-- (activities that work the CPU hard) and charging, getting warm is normal. But if it is getting to hot to handle or a heat warning is popping up, you have a problem. Turn it off, allow it to cool down. If keeps reoccurring try resetting or Restoring to backup or Restore to new. If over heating continues contact Apple Genius Bar and have your iPod evaluated. Good luck, Cheers.

My iPod said "Can not use iPod until cools down". I let it sit over night and now it wont charge.

So last night My ipod brought up a "Can not use ipod til it cools down" message. Than I turned it off for the night and It wont charge. Is there something wromg with my iPod?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

I have bought Color Laserjet Pro MFP M177fw before only 3days. From the very begining It says printing.... cooldown mood, and take a long paus. This issue occures after printing each page. The product will pause longer between printed pages until it cools down.
Overheating occurs when the product lacks air ventilation or when it prints continuously for a long period of time. To prevent overheating, place the product in a well-ventilated area, and divide very large print jobs into smaller print jobs.Other than using it in a well ventilated room, you could see if there are any firmware updates available. my iphone 4s has been randomly stopping and saying "iphon needs to cool down before you can use it" there is no water damage cause i just got it replaced, its been happening so frequently i ended up restoring it thinking it was an app overrunning or something but its still happening.. help!!!!1

I've had that happen once or twice in the summer while using the phone in the car for both navigation and streaming music (and it was on the seat in the sun). However, if you're having it happen regularly, you should take it back to the Apple Store.

Cool Down Options for New 27" imac i5

Ok, so the i5 gets pretty hot after some heave use and my CPU fan speeds up to keep things cool. My question is what is better to do for cooling down after heavy use?
+1. Put the computer to sleep, no fan running.+
Or
+2. Shut down all apps, let the fan run and let the computer do its thing. Going from screen saver 5min.- display sleep 15min.- then to full sleep 45min.+
Cuzz with option 2, the fans have time to run to cool the computer down and then go to sleep. But with option 1 it just sleeps and natural cools over time.
What would be better practice to do? and i am sorry if this has been posted before. I searched and could not find anything. Just shut down v.s. sleep.

None of the above, I would keep working or playing..... Just because a fan or fans kick up there is no reason to stop what you are doing, the iMac should continue to cool or maintain a safe temperature even if you continue to use it.
However #2 if I was done using it, except that I would only Sleep the Display (no Screen Saver) for a short time prior to Auto Sleeping the Computer.
