Is there some hideous ghoul (name Microsoft) creaping around in the background preventing me from seeing product pictures on Amazon, Ebay, et al?

Sometimes when I attempt to access products on Amazon, Ebay, etc., I get a blank square with a picture of a camera obviously indicating the website cannot show the picture. However, when I then close Firefox and enter these websites using Internet Explorer I have no problem with images. I know this is probably some dirty little Microsoft trick, but is there a fix?

As you can see below, when I right click, I have no such option. In the User Account Settings, I'm operating as the "System Administrator".
Any other suggestions?

I have 7 email accounts on my phone. If I tap EDIT while viewing the Trash folder in any of them I see "Mark All" on the left and "Delete All" on the right. If you tap any message, however, the legends go away.

It sounds like you have a user account named Ghost, that you want to delete all content from and remove from the computer. This article will help you do that named:
OS X Lion: Delete a user account

Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Users & Groups or click Parental Controls.
Click the lock icon to unlock it, and then type an administrator name and password.
Select the user account you want to delete, and then click Delete below the account list.
Do one of the following:
Select “Save the home folder in a disk image” to save the folder as a disk image in /Users/Deleted Users/.
Select “Don’t change the home folder” to leave the home folder in /Users/.
Select “Delete the home folder” to remove it from the computer. If you want to prevent programs that read raw data from retrieving any files, select “Erase home folder securely.”
Click OK.
Keep in mind, if you remove the user and delete the data, without Time Machine you will not be able to restore any data from it in the future.

There is a bug (yes, insect) crawling around INSIDE the glass of the monitor. Help?

It's a tiny bug, but it's been there for three days now. It must be able to get in and out. I thought these monitors were air sealed!

Trip to the Apple store would be the best idea. Attempting to open the screen and cleaning him out yourself may not be the best idea. Some of the displays do have a cover that's held in by magnets but if you're not certain how to take it off then the store is definitely the best option.

I believe under the OS 10.7.4 one of the features is it backups or has backgrounding features which uses memory. My original HD is 320GB. And i don't hv too many Apps installed. I do have abt 50-70apps. I do have many photos and videos stored in iPhoto's Library though.

One thing I've noticed is that a shared tab pops up when I open the finder under "favorites" with a random connection. It's called hp68b... None of my friends that I live with have this and we all use the same internet. Two days ago when I would click it and click get info, it said it was a pc. When I checked it today it said it is a "sharepoint" and looks like a harddrive.
I took it too the store after i spilt water on it but when I got it back it ran perfectly fine. I don't know a lot about computer so if somebody could help me. It says I'm connected to it and I can't disconnect or delete it. I don't know if the guy at the computer store put something in my computer and is sharing all my files.

Much as I love Firefox, I'm not overly enamoured with the wee green progress bar that's integrated into the awesomebar in 5. As I have Status-4-Evar installed, I really don't need it, and I find it kinda ugly, to be honest.
Are there any plug-ins or preference options to make it go away, or am I stuck with it until my brain just learns to ignore it?

Use the options in Status-4-Evar, on the "Progress" tab, uncheck "Show progress in the Location Bar". There is now an icon "S4E" on the location bar or use the options through the add-ons manager.

Is there a way to have Adobe Acrobat run in the background while scanning documents?

This was working fine up until last week and then all of a sudden, the scanning program overrides anything else I'm doing on the computer (such as typing an email, etc). I'm not sure if a recent update removed that setting, but I'd like to be scanning documents, but not have to wait until it's done to have my computer back. Does anyone know how to change this?

My organization is having this same issue. Our scanners were using 9.2 Acrobat standardard to scan. While they were scanning, they could switch focus to another application and work while scanning continued in the background. Now, the twain driver grabs focus at the start of every page. This must have happened because of an upgrade. Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated considering this has affected our productivity.

I believe there's an option to the bookmark bar 'wrapping' around with the last bookmarks hidden from view.

Before Firefox crashed last nite, I had them in 'two layers', but I can't remember how I did that to put them back.
By that I mean the bookmarks wrapped around to a 2nd strip (instead of the last ones being hidden under the little >> sign at the right of the strip.)
I want them back where I can see all of them at once.... TKU.

The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.

I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check.

Dwm: some questions (e.g. bring floating window to the background)

Hi,
currently I'm diving into the world of tiling window managers (or at least I try to).
dwm looks nice and fast (with awesome I have the feeling that changing the master window takes much time/feels slow)
One thing I couldn't find out is how to bring a floating window to the background (or a tiled window to the foreground). Floating windows always stay on top so that they prevent mo from seeing every part of a tiled window.

I had seen the error in Execution log accessed through Repository browser.
But Ive resovled it now.
Actually, the user (NEW_USER) connected to with sqlplus did not have privileges on the registered location - so I connected to OWB Design Center as that user(NEW_USER) and registered the location entering the password. Thats it. It worked!!

My on/off button sticks and today my iPhone shut off and I can't turn it back on. Also it isn't even repond when I plug it in. Any ideas? Is there some way it can be reset?

If the reset does not help, make an appointment at the Apple store. If your phone is out of warranty and you can't afford what they want, google for local repair services.
