Is there such a think as an automatic slug for Illustrator CS3?

I'm looking for an automatic slug plugin for Illustrator CS3. Something that will automatically fill in what images, fonts, colours (both spot and proccess) are being used, the name of the file, the version of the file, where it's located, who is responsible for proofing the file, who's working on the file, etc. It also has to be customizable.
I'm trying out the Triple Triangle Mechanical Cubed slug, it's fantastic, but only works in InDesign... It's exactly what I need, it just doesn't work in Illustrator! I'm desparately seeking one for Illustrator.

Their is two products available that you might be interested to look at.

    Hey Rich,
It is true that you cannot add more than 250 plots to a 2d-axis graph in the REPORT.  One work around is to have the graphs stacked on top of each other and plot 250 to one graph and 250 more to another graph.  I am including a TDR (you have to unzip it) file that has 12 2d-axis stacked on top of each other.  Most of the properties have been made invisible through the graph properties.  You can still see the legends however.  One caveat to this is that you will have issues accessing the different graphs.  You have to do it from a VBScript.  The following line of code worked for me:
    Call GraphObjOpen("2DAxis" + Str(NewAxis))
Where NewAxis is a variable that defines which graph I want to look at.  You would of course have to loop through the graphs as you add data.

  • Is there such a thing as to much memory for my macbook pro?

I wanted to buy this caddy and install a SSD where my dvd/cd drive is. just curious is there such a thing as to much memory? I dont want to mess up my motherboard  or fry anything. The youtube video i saw has a guy swapping out his Dvd/cd drive with a ssd and his macbook pro (which is same model as mine) had no problems just want a second opinion. Right now I have a 730gb HD
this is the link for the caddy.
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004XIUQYA?ie=UTF8&tag=shopfaster0c-20&linkCode =shr&camp=213733&creative=393177&creativeASIN=B004XIUQYA&=electronics&qid=135673 8142&sr=1-9&keywords=optical+drive+adapter

If I were you, since you'll want the SSD to be the boot drive, I would install the SSD in the current HD bay and put the spinning drive in the optical bay. MacBook Pros have a preference for the boot drive to be in the main bay and you're just asking for trouble if you install it in the optical bay.
I didn't look at your Amazon link, but I can recommend OWC's Data Doubler - likely higher in price than your Amazon choice, but I don't know of anyone who has had problems with them.
And, no, there's no such thing as too much storage space!
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • Is there such a thing as an extra battery for Ipod video

I am planning a long plane trip next year and I keep toying with buying a video ipod but the 3 hour (for watching videos) or so battery life is making my decision towards the no side. I am wondering if there is an external battery that is worth the money that will give me a long life so I can keep myself entertained for many hours.

Sure there are many plug in external power packs you can buy. Some are rechargeable units themselves while others simply use common (AA, AAA, 9V) batteries and give a univeral 5V USB output. Here is one such example...

  • Is there such a thing as Apple Certified Technicians for iPads?

I recently made the mistake of taking my mini in for repair of a cracked digitizer to a local shop.  A month, several arguments, and 5 visits later, the screen is finally staying on, but the front camera is now very hazy.  They say they took it apart again and cleaned the screen and that since it's no better, it was probably that way before.  The owner insists that his techs are all Apple Certified Technicians, and that they are doing the repairs the same was Apple does them.
I can't find any proof of that type of certification even existing.  And they are not a certified repair center.
Anyone know any other reason the for the camera to all of the sudden be so bad?  All I can think is there has to be a fingerprint on a lens or something, but they swear they have fixed that.

This registry is a voluntary public listing of Apple certificants. Since not all certificants are listed, you can click hereto obtain an individual's official credential status. If you hold an Apple certification and would like to send an official verification to another party, log into the Apple Certification Records System and select Publish Credential.

  • Is there such a thing as a malware keylogger for Macs?

    Hi all,
My partner, using the iMac running 10.4.8, is a regular eBay seller. Tonight at around 2300 local time her account was (and is still) hijacked. For those not knowing the workings of eBay it requires a password login just like banking, credit cards, etc. The password has been changed by the hijacker, hence she is now locked out of her account. We are now concerned that, for her account to have been hijacked, her password was gleaned via a keylogger.
Is this possible or is it more likely that a password generator was used? (Or that she was less than cautious in responding to a spoof or phish? - Don't tell her I said that, she'll shout at me!)
How would we know if such a thing was lurking, if they exist?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Adrian

There are several keyloggers that run on Mac OS X --- logKext, for instance; Google "keylogger Mac OS X" if you want to look over the 1,010,000 hits that returns --- but all keyloggers of which I'm aware require root user access to the Mac to install. You can always check if the roor user is enabled on the Mac and disable it is it is; see About the root User and How to Enable It. You can also check System Preferences> Security and make sure the Firewall is turned on with services tunred off (particularly Apple Remote Desktop and ssh).
Without knowing the details you refer to in your latter post, I'd agree that a password generator or plain old guessing is the more likely source of the vulnerability. Without needing to ask her the details, ask your partner if her various accounts use a password or a passphase. A password , anything based recognizably on a dictionary word (even with intentional misspellings) is vulnerable to guessing. A passphase (taking the first letters of the words in a phase, preferablly one including numbers and/or punctation) is much harder to guess. It's also worth warning her against using the same passphase on all her accounts; that's actually a common response to having to remember 24 different passwords, but it has an obvious problem if one account is broken.

  • Hello.  MAC - Android.  Is there such a thing as using a program for my MAC Notebook Pro that I'm also able to use on my android phone?

Thank you sooo much ahead of time.  Specifically I'm looking for a good finance app like iBank 4 that I could also access on my android phone.  Please and thank you for any help you can share.

The only way to do that is find an application that has been written for two different systems.  The operating systems of the MacBook Pro and Android are not the same and apps will not run on both of them.

  • Is there such a thing as a 'gift certificate' for photo services in iPhoto?

friends of ours just got back from germany and im sure will be wanting to make albums of it all. my wife and i were wanting to give a 'gift certificate' to make some books in iPhoto, but how is that done?? i know the ITMS has its own cards you can redeem, but what about this kind of stuff?
is it just a simple matter of an apple gift card? can you pay with those?
    thanks in advance!!

I had the same question and finally found the answer buried in iPhoto print products support here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/photoservices/payment_options/
And the answer is unfortunately no. How hard can it be to accept gift cards for print services????

  • Is there any way to add a text variable in Illustrator CS3?

To keep track of our proofs, I have a text box in Illustrator with the date and time that I would like to automatically update everytime I save the file.
This is possible in InDesign by inserting a text variable. Is there a way to do this in Illustrator?
    Thanks for any tips!

The only I'm aware you can do this is with a plugin from Worker72a

  • Is there a temporary file location on Windows 7 for Illustrator CS6?

I was working in Illustrator for a few hours this morning and was just about to save when the Program "quit running".  Is there an temporary file created automatically?  Where might this be located in Windows 7?

    That's bad luck.
Unlike other programmes (e.g. InDesign) Illustrator currently doesn't have that kind of automatic backup / file recovery capability.
It has been requested many times.

  • Automatic PGI for Cash Sales

    Dear Friends,
Please guide me for the configuration in Copy Control so that Automatic PGI is done at the time of creating Sales Order for cash Sales.
At present PGI is being done manually.
Also please guide me to configure the Output type RD03 so that the invoice is printed automatically. In our system RD03 is not there.
    Thanks,
    Jans

    hi,
not sure of the requirement but in cash sales we mainly look at the spot sales and at the end of the day we consolidate all the deliveries in the sense that we take up the PGI due deliveries and run a background job. This does the PGI and we run another job to create invoices.
as such there is no setting to do automatic PGI for cash sales.
    Regards

Thank you for your help, but I believe my questions remains unanswered -- mainly, because my English isn't the good.
    Here's what I am asking:
    1.  I need something that is animated that blinks or flashes to alert the viewer to scroll down the page.  I would put the wording:  Scroll Down for more (and then an arrow blinks or gently moves up and down to alert the user to move down).
    2.  is there a way that the entire homepage on it's own moves downward?
    Sorry for my poor English.

created by The Arthematics in Help with using Adobe Muse CC - View the full discussionIf I understood correctly. You can place arrows on each section of the page and use "fade-in" and "fade-out". And maybe you want this widget Anchor + – Adobe Muse Widget Directory to automatically scroll down. • When I mark a mail in the junk folder as 'not junk', is there a way to have it automatically move to the inbox?

Apple Mail keeps putting good messages into the Junk folder. I mark them as 'not junk', but then they just sit there. It is really tedious to have to move them back to the inbox, and change the colour back to black. Is there any way to do this automatically?
I originally placed this question on the Snow Leopard group, but since then I have updated to Lion. I was hoping that Lion would have provided a solution, but it seems not. In the Snow Leopard group, somebody posted a script which apparently works in Snow Leopard, but I have no idea if it works in Lion, as there doesn't seem to be any way to load scripts.
    This is the script, anyway.
It was given to me by <Bernard Hills> but I don't know who wrote it.

OK, I've discovered how to access the library.
    It's here: http://techheavy.com/2011/07/access-the-user-library-folder-in-lion/
But I don't really want to try that script in case it screws something up. I know zero about scripting.

Shouldn't it be learning: it just keeps putting the same good messages into junk.

Which version of Mail are u using and which Os ?
On this side Mail 4.5 ans SL 10.6.8, I do have the possibility to transfer from the JunkBox to the in box for exemple and even change the color of the text... Sorry , in French.
Edit, just saw that yre on 10.6.8 from your firt post...

  • Is there any way I can switch Automatic Backup off?

Is there any way I can turn automatic backups off in Logic Pro 8? Apple has set it so you can't switch them off any more. (You could switch them off in Logic versions 6 and 7.)
I see other people have had this problem and it has been discussed on these forums but nobody seems to have offered a crystal clear solution.
I know somebody suggested you change the number below:
    <key>MaxBackupsToKeep</key>
    <integer>10</integer>"
    And someone else wrote:
    From the command prompt type:
    defaults write com.apple.logic.pro MaxBackupsToKeep 0
But I can't see exactly how or where to do this. I opened com.apple.logic.pro.plist and found "MaxBackupsToKeep" used in a different context to what is described above. I changed a '1' after this text to '0' but that had no effect whatsoever.
Can somebody please help? How exactly do you switch this annoying backup feature off?

    defaults write com.apple.logic.pro MaxBackupsToKeep 0
But I can't see exactly how or where to do this.
Open the Terminal application. Type the command above and press return.
Note that setting it to 0 *does not* turn it off, it gives you one autobackup next to the song file, rather than creating an auto backup folder and putting the backups in there.
