Is there support for the Statechart Module 1.0.1 for MacOS X?

I need to use the Statechart Toolkit but I can't seem to find if there is support for it on the MacOS platform. Can someone tell me a definitive yes or no on this???
Just as a sidebar: it's very disconcerting to see the lack of support for MacOS. Yes, I know Windoze is ubiquitous, but there are some of us who use a Mac in our daily work and this "half-support" is getting to be problematic. Either FULLY support the platform or don't! Sorry...rant over.
Thanks for your assistance!
Michael

The predecessor to the Statechart Module was the State Diagram Toolkit. Its not as powerful as the Statechart Module, but it appears that it is(or was) available for the Mac and PC. You might contact your sales rep and ask if the State Diagram Toolkit is available for Mac users...

  • Is there support for the GraphicsFmt object in FrameMaker 11 ExtendScript?

I was reading the FDK documentation for FrameMaker 11 and I see that support has been added for Object formats using FO_GraphicsFmt.
Is there support for the GraphicsFmt object in FrameMaker 11 ExtendScript?
If not, when will it be added?
Another question: Will the ExtendScript documentation ever be improved?

    Stuart,
I am pretty sure you can use the object from ExtendScript. With the FDK documentation you should be able to guess the property names in ExtendScript, but the easiest way is to use a small test document and write a small script to get at the GraphicsFmt object. Set a breakpoint and use the Data Browser and/or JavaScript Console to see how FM uses the object.
As for better ExtendScript documentation: I am working on a website (www.progframe.com) that will feature better documentation, combining the current docs with stuff picked up from the FDK reference and test scripts. It will also have tutorials for newbie scripters. If Adobe does not put an effort into the docs, I might as well do it and possibly pick up some scripting jobs that way. I am planning to launch the website early next year and keeping it up to date so that ExtendScript info is immediately available when a new FM version hits the market.
    Kind regards

  • Is there support for animated .gif files?

Is there support for animated gif files using
form builder? I can't get it to work.
    Thanks
    Sean
    I am using forms 6.0

She used the Link Tool, specfied 'Image URL' as the Source File Format and the url of the animated GIF in the Source Filename. Hope that helps.
Makes sense but the form is not for the web.
I have looked at doing it with timers and switching canvases, but that is just too much
for sloppy animation. It's just not tight enough.
    Thanks,

  • Is there support for a data center Multi-Master using SunONE "Bandwidth Manager" over a WAN ?

I'm not sure what you mean by "data center M-M". There is currently only support for 2 masters. Do you mean
"Is there support for having a managed WAN connection between the two masters?"
This scenario has been tested, but I don't know if it is fully supported by iPlanet. In other words, it should work, but probably not as well as two masters sitting next to each other in a data center, which is the recommended deployment strategy.

  • Is there support for ejb local interface?

    Hi,
Is there support for ejb local intefaces in JDev? By default it creates remote interfaces
& I have to manually edit the interfaces as well as the ejb-jar.xml files.
    I am using JDev 9.0.2.
    Thanks in advance...
    Regards..

Right. The aforementioned -migrate flag on the jdev or jdevw command line will migrate the IDE settings from your previous build.
Other upgrade issues are handled automatically the first time you open a project and save it with the new version.

  • Are RefNums supported on the FPGA module?

Are RefNums supported on the FPGA modules?
    In particular, the PXI-7831R?
    Thanks.

If by RefNums you mean for example, I/O references or handles, then no. An FPGA doesn't know anything about those, remember, it's just a piece of hardware...

  • Palmsync support for MacOS X

We are in the process of trying to decide whether to continue with CorporateTime now that it is with Oracle.
I have had an Oracle sales person tell me that there will be no Palm Sync support for MacOS X.
Oracle's web site has nothing obvious regarding specs or ongoing support for MacOS.
    Does anyone else have information?

    Hi Andre,
Are you testing against the Beta 2 version? This version does not support offline synchronization. You will need to wait until the final release when this capability will be enabled. The reason why this feature is not present is because you need to be using the forthcoming release of the Oracle Calendar desktop client on Mac to be able to synchronize with contacts and offline. Both of these releases wil be available with the Collaboration Suite Release 2.
    Thanks,
    Lily

I have an iMac running 10.6.8. I will be upgrading to 10.7. I have an iPhone 3GS and an iPhone 3G. What support, if any, is there for the iPhone 3G with iCloud?

No support for the 3G in iTunes 10.5.
"iCloud requires iOS 5 on iPhone 3GS or later, iPod touch (3rd and 4th generation), iPad, or iPad 2; a Mac computer with OS X Lion; or a PC with Windows Vista or Windows 7 (Outlook 2007 or 2010 or an up-to-date browser is required for accessing email, contacts, and calendars). Some features require a Wi-Fi connection. Some features are not available in all countries. Access to some services is limited to 10 devices."

  • Is there support for the AC-1000 target real-time system?

    Hi,
Is NI supporting the AC-1000 target real-time system? We've used MatrixX, SysBld, Autocode, and Realsim to compile, link, download, and run various control models on the target real-time system for interfacing with hardware. The AC-1000 has 2-3 processors running a pSOS Operating System, multiple I/O boards, and a MIL-STD-1553 bus. It's connected to an NT workstation via a LAN and a serial cable.
So, any information regarding support and maintenance would be very helpful. Thank you for your time!
    Take care,
    Chris Holmes

    United Defense, L.P.

Although NI acquired MATRIXx, we did not acquire the RealSim hardware (AC-1000, AC-104, and PCI-Pro). Wind River retains the ownership of the hardware but is not supporting the product line. Wind River has made available the attached parts list for the RealSim hardware so that customers can self-service existing systems.
NI doesn't plan to develop or support RealSim - and is directing customers who wish to continue to use this software/hardware to 3rd parties. The following NI Alliance members can provide RealSim support.
    iControl: www.icontrol-inc.com
    ADI: www.adi.com
    OPAL-RT: www.opal-rt.com
NI plans to make it easy for customers to target NI hardware, including real-time PXI, with MATRIXx in the future. For information on P
XI, please refer to the PXI section of the ni.com site at ni.com/pxi.

  • Is there support for syncing Android phone contact lists, calendar etc with Mac Mail?

HI, I have a Sony Z2 and I need to sync calendar, activity and contact data with with Mavericks Mail, can you suggest how this could be done?  I have looked and there are a couple of utilities (including SyncMate ?) some of which have mixed reviews. I have seen you can use a gmail account but as I have more than one at the moment I want to avoid adding another one if this if possible.

I am a very happy T-Mobile subscriber, but T-Mobile offers virtually no handsets compatible with iSync. You would be far better off examining one or more of these handsets or smartphones available from Cingular:
    • Nokia 6682
    • Nokia 9300*
    • SONY Ericsson Z520a
    • SONY Ericsson W600i
    • Palm Treo 650
*requires an inexpensive plug-in from Nova Media. More information is available at http://www.novamedia.de/sync/index.html
It seems likely that both Cingular and T-Mobile will offer the next-generation Palm Treo 700p when a GSM version is available. The only such units available now are both CDMA smartphones - one intended for use on the Sprint network, the other on the Verizon network.
You can also use a Windows Mobile device, though a release version of a third party package required to support it with iSync is not currently available. An early alpha-release version of the Missing Sync for Windows Mobile is available, with a not yet complete feature set. More information about that application is available here:
    http://www.markspace.com/missingsync_windowsmobile.php
Both Cingular and T-Mobile offer smartphones bases upon Windows Mobile. In addition, T-Mobile offers the danger hiptop OS-based Sidekick II. You can synchronize hiptop devices with the addition of the Missing Sync for hiptop:

  • Statechart Module: What is the order of execution for a parent state and its substates?

    Hello,
This page describes the order of execution of transitions and actions for one level of nesting. What about compound states? Do the static reactions of the parent state execute before the transitions of the sub-states?

    Hello,
I'm not incredibly familiar with the Statechart module, but I will look into it for you on our internal database. In the mean time, there are some examples that may answer some of your questions here:

  • Feature request: Slideshow module support for video files

I'm very excited about your MTS support!
Feature request: Slide show module  support for video files...
Say you have 10 takes to choose from. Are you able to almost like SLIDESHOW view the 10 clips full screen so you can decide, like a playlist? Or rate them as they play? It would also be great, like SLIDESHOW to be able to export a MP4 with a title, the 10 clips you are working with, and maybe add an end title and a song, just like SLIDESHOW.
I have found editing stills like this in slideshow far faster than in any other editing program.
Basically, I just need a fast means to view or export an MP4 of a set of video clips to review. You are almost there.
    great job!!!
    Max

I was also disappointed that video is not supported in the slideshow module -I currently have to use another solution when I want stills mixed with videos, would be great to be ablo to keep it all in LR!

  • Statechart module is not debuggable...

    Hello,
I have a statechart which compiles ok (TMS_SM included), but when I attempt to run it/call it from a "Run StateChart" call  it comes back with a Block Diagram error:
" Run Statechart: XNode is not executable"
There appears to be no way to debug this problem directly (I have deleted all the changes that I had made since it previously worked, and tried removing all the 'odd' controls from in Inputs.ctl and Outputs.ctl to no avail).
    Thanks
    Andrew

I'm quite happy with the statechart module, My main program has three statechart's, two of which I would say are more complicated than yours. Mine have fewer states but they use more advanced features (hierarchical states being a big one) and have a lot more reactions. Really complicated state systems are much easy with the module in my experience (but I'm directly modeling them in the statechart instead of trying to translate UML). But you need to understanding how exactly the order and how  entry, exit, reactions and transitions are handled, to take full advantage of statecharts.
Some useful tricks I've used are:
Hierarchical states, combined with entry and exit actions, allow for easy acquisition and release of different resources, or resetting statedata.
Reactions are often a simpler solution to transitions.
Outputs can be used just like StateData, in other words they they hold there value between evaluations of the state chart.
You can set the priority of exit transitions, which is handy to choose states based on guards instead of triggers.
It's been a few LabVIEW versions since I needed to really work with them, so my knowledge is a bit rusty, so this might not be quite right.
Sometimes I would have to Force regeneration to locate errors (may no longer be an issue)
Debugging used (I assume it still does) to force the statechart to depend on UI Thread (even in a compiled program), so I would always turn off debugging when I didn't need it.
Pushing something on the internal queue forces an additional evaluation step (this can be used to make temporary states, that don't have to handle external triggers)
I dug up some of my older posts where my knowledge was fresh (I believe the call limit bug has been fixed, but it didn't apply to my method hybrid of using statecharts)
One of my old posts where I talk about my hybrid statecharts architecture
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Statechart-locks-up-after-2-20-1-calls/m-p/674145/highlight/true#M30...
And a post dealing with debugging statecharts.
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/statechart-module-locking-up-and-unusable/td-p/641814/highlight/true
I tried to look at your example but their missing pieces so I can't try to figure out the bug. I would try an older version, to check if something got corrupted (I think I've only had VI's corrupt on me, but those can create nasty bugs), if you don't have a version control system I strongly suggest you get one. I get Xnode errors trying to open statecharts on system with out the statechart module, but it sounds like you have the module installed. The statechart isn't brought up too often on the forums so I suspect it's an uncommon module for people to use.

  • Support for Pioneer P3DX

Is there support for MobileRobots Pioneer 3-DX (P3DX) Differential Drive Robot in Labview? http://www.ni.com/white-paper/9079/en#toc4
any example code i could look at?

Looking into how the P3DX works, there is an API that you can call through a Call Library Function Node.  However, National Instruments does not have any direct examples for the P3DX in our robotics module.  A few third-party resources on how to actually manipulate the robot using LabVIEW can be seen below:
    http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-93880.html
I suggest using the link on that forum for a bit more information on how you can use the P3DX in LabVIEW.
