New to iMac. We have Pages not Office. Daughter needs to make a birthday card. "Daddy, can you show me how to do it on the MAC?" Sure honey, Its probably just like you did on the old computer. WRONG! "Daddy, is that the only birthday card they have? That's lame" Yes sweety, it is.
Is ther a place where I can get some more templates? preferrably some that are twice folded cards so they don't need an 8.5" envelope
Any help is appreciated.

Although you posted this in the iWork for iOS forum, it appears that you actually have the desktop version, so I'll answer in that context.
It looks to me like Pages includes two lame birthday card templates. In addition, Pages can usually open templates for Microsoft Word. A Google search brings up lots of templates availlable on the web; most of them are probably lame.
All a template is, really, is a formatted document. If it is the right size, the lame content or lack of variety don't matter because you aren't supposed to keep that content; it's just a placeholder for something original of your own.

Okay, I have figured it out, I believe. So, I will provide my own answer in case someone else is looking for this type of situation in the future.
I edited the page definition by adding another function, disFormItems_local(), to the HTML Header Attribute.
Next, I edited the item's HTML Form Element Attributes to call the function, onchange="disFormItems_local()"
Then, I created a call to the disFormItems_local function in the page HTML Body Attribute, onload="disFormItems(); first_field(); disFormItems_local();"
Other stuff that you will need to know is to be found in Chapter 10 page 8, Enabling and Disabling Form Elements of the 3.0 Advanced Tutorials.

Can there be more than one initiator in a shared review?

We use Acrobat X Pro to do shared reviews of pdf documents. At times, the initiator will be out of the office when someone needs to take action on the document and it would make it more convenient if there was more than one person with access. Is it possible to assign two people as the "initiator" of the documents so that there will always be one available?

No, sorry.
If you're using email or own-server-hosted reviews there's nothing (technically) to stop another person signing on using the initiator's identity provided they know the password. If you're using Acrobat.com to host the reviews, and so the participants are using Adobe IDs, then in a legal sense you can't because the terms of use for an AdobeID do not allow shared access.

Importing From Excel file will not import assignments correctly where there are more than one assignment per task

I am trying to import an excel file ... see below. It appears if you select both Tasks and Assignments tables it will not allow you to do this, says file is not in a project recognized format. So I import Tasks tab first then run the
wizard again and import the assignments tab while selecting merge with project option. This works with one exception:
If there are more than one assignment per task. It does not merge in the 2nd assignment, only the first.
Is there a way to import a task with 2 or more assignments?

To figure out what the format for the file needed to be, I started with a MPP file and from project saved as Excel and selected the "Project Template" file. Now I am trying to import that XLS to see how it works

I did a quick test using your example although I didn't include the Predecessor or Outline Level fields to keep things a little simpler. I imported the Excel data into a new Project file with a single import of task and assignment data. It is very important
to set up the Excel Workbook correctly. On Sheet 1 I entered the task data (Name, Duration, Start). I did not include the ID or finish date as that is redundant - Project generates its own ID and will calculate the finish date based on the start date and duration.
On Sheet 2 I entered the assignment data basically just as you show it except I didn't include the Units.
The data imported as expected.

My project has a bunch of ProRes files referenced... even when I move them, and After Effects marks them as offline, I just get this: Last log message was: <140735209366288> <ae.blitpipe> <2> Making New Context.
I have done some searching, and even if I go to Google, and put the search in quotes, I get nothing. It doesn't sound like anyone else has had just this problem.

Sounds like the ProRes files are encoded oddly in a format that AE's own handler can't understand and while falling back to QT it crashes. I believe there are some known issues with this for ProRes 444, but then again I'm not a Mac guy...

Yes, you can have multiple datasource assignments that belong to the same source system or different systems.
DATASOURCE can only have 1 INFOSOURCE
INFOSOURCE can have many DATASOURCES

Can there be more than one port for the same logical system

Can we have more than one TRFC port for tranferring data from one logical system to another?
The requirement is to transfer same basic idoc type from one logical system to another through two different ports. Is it possible?
For eg. some specific data (country specific) for the same basic idoc type can be sent through a separate port and the other data through a different port inorder to distinguish between the two.

I don't think so. Because of that what i told you. There would be a dirty trick (back routing) to solve your issue. But its quite difficult and not standard. You create two http receiver services and two http sender services. You route your message depending on payload to the one or the other http receiver channel. The receiver is in both cases: THE XI! Now you have a second message, which you can route to IDoc adapter. But in this case you have different sender and in the receiver determination you can put the sender, so you will be able to use different communication channnels and so different ports / destinations.
Advantage: Your task would run, no performance problem (http: very good, asynchron)
Handicap: You see every message double in the monitoring, the scenario is not easy to understand and it is a big task 4 other people to change it.

I have a question about transport targets in sld for sap xi 3.0 sp19.
We have a requirement where a business system needs to have two transport targets.In SLD i see that only one transport target can be assigned. Is there any way to assign more than one transport target to a business system?
I know that there can be more than one source for a business system where more than one different business systems have the same business system as the target.
I am not sure if a business system can have more than one transport target .If yes , what is the way to add more than one ?

As far as I know, you would have to change the target everytime you will transport it to a different target e.g 3 target systems = 3 times you change the transport target in SLD.

Airport disconnects when there's more than one device

I've got a really weird problem.. I have an Apple Airport Extreme 802.11n 3rd Generation. Software version 7.6 When more than one device connecrts to the base station it will disconnect everyone and then all devices will go into a connect/disconnect loops. Rapidly. This occurs only with wireless device. I watched the radar on my iPhone (5.1), Macbook running Snow Leopard, Macbook Air running Lion, and iPad 2 (5.1) blinking on and off, on and off. The only way to resolve this is to just have ONE person connect at a time.
Things I've tried:
1) Updating all software on all devices
2) Updating Airport firmware
3) Reboot and then restoring factory settings on the Airport when the reboot didn't work
4) Turning off encryption (WP2)
5) Making sure there are enough IP's for all the devices, turning off robustness, making sure the router is visible.
Because I know someone will ask this: The Airport sits atop a credenza in the open air. Nothing on, around, or above it. It's been in this position for months with no problem. It's not overly warm to the touch and I even used compressed air to blow out the vents (just in case) when this problem began.
I read once upon a time that the router gets a cache built up and that can cause these types of issues, but I have no idea how to delete said cache or even if it exists. It's just odd this only happens when more than one wireless device tried to connect to the network.
Thoughts?

I've resolved this! For some odd reason Apple won't let me denote this so I'm adding this reply. Turns out the problem was POWER related. The Airport was plugged into a power strip with several other devices. I unplugged all of those leaving just the Airport and the problem has not returned. If I add on all the devices, regardless of the power strip used, the problem returns. So it appears the Airport was just not getting enough power.
I've got it on a UPS now and the problem has not returned.

ITune Album Artwork issue - There are more than one for a song

Hi,
I've done this before....having a couple of artwork for one song. It was back when I used iTune 3 or so. Now that I'm using iTune 7. I can't seem to find a way to add more than one artwork to a song. I tried the iTune's help, which says I can just drag another artwork into the song's artwork box. But, that would replace the artwork I had earlier.
Anyone knows a way to add more than one artwork to a song? I'm using 10.4.9 if that helps.

Thanks for the advice. I tried both in file info and the artwork box (while playing the file) and they both work. I sware to god that they both did NOT work before. That's why I had to post this stupid questions. I don't know why it didn't work before. Maybe because I selected the artwork that's already there? Use of more than one PXI6025E DAQ cards in one computer

Hi,
I have connected two PXI6025E cards into one computer on the same PCI bus. However, the DIO ports on the second card do not work. We are using the DIO ports as up/down control for the counters.
It works fine on the first card but not on the second. When we remove the first card, the second one works fine even in the same slot.
The problem is that the input impedance of the port is too low. Unless we put a high current input into the card, the signal being inputted is lost. On the card that works, the card sources about 60uA of current but on the card that doesn't work, it sinks up to 1mA.
Is this is a conflict issue and can it be fixed?
We need at least 4 counters and 4 analog outputs for our application and there are two of each on each card. Are there alternative methods of doing this?

To clarify, are you saying the the card that works improperly sinks as much as 1mA even when it is the only card running and when it seems to be working properly? Does the problem always exist on the second card to be started (i.e. one card is running fine but a second card fails when accessed) or is it isolated only to the single problematic card.
The NI 6023E/6024E/6025E Family Specifications indicate the maximum current sink for a logic "high" input should be 10uA. The 60uA you are sourcing from the "good" card also seems to be within the 75uA maximum source current rating.
If the problem seems to be isolated only to a specific card then it is likely that your input may be damaged. I would suggest testing other digital lines in the port to see if the signal is still degraded by the apparent low input impedence. If this is not successful please contact NI Technical Support for further troubleshooting help.

Can there Be More Than One I-Tunes Account on One Computer?

I don't know where to post this question and can't find it anywhere in the Faqs. If there are a couple of people using I-Tunes, can they use the same computer but with their own accounts? If so, how can they set up their own account? The reason I am asking is because a couple of family members have I-Tunes gift cards and will want to download their music and apps on a particular computer, the one that the I-pad will be syncing to. Thanks for any help on this.

Yes. Log in and out of the iTunes Store as needed, and authorize the computer with all of the accounts. The iPad can only contain content purchased from five different accounts at any given time.

How to automatically log in on a MacBook Pro when there is more than one user

We have 4 users on our MacBook Pro.
How can we switch between users without having to log on each time?
I have found the "Disable Automatic Login" option in Systems Preferences have have unchecked it but I still get asked each time we switch between users - is this setting universal for all users once set, or does it need to reset when in each user profile?

You are correct about iPhoto - sorry. It does look like local sharing has been removed in favour of iCloud sharing. It's something I did so rarely that I thought it was still there. You can export & copy items between libraries but it is less useful now (I'm not a fan of iCloud).
User home folders are designed to prevent other users seeing your stuff. It's why each user gets their own password.
You can give another user files via their /Users/username/Public/Dropbox folder (or go via the /Users/Shared).
The 'Shared' folder is within /Users - that can be used for all users. Some apps store media in there when it is needed by all users (Apples Motion did this for a while).
Applications are 'system wide' so any user can use them so long as they have access to that folder - all users have access to /Applications by default.
To be honest the default behaviour is generally setup correct with all of this… just install apps to /Applications & all users can use them.
If you need some privacy - put it in your home folder.
If you need everyone to access - put it in shared.
If you are having to think hard about how to make something work you may be going about it wrong - ask for a sanity check of your workflow via these discussions

Is there a way to order more than one type of card at the same time from iPhoto?

I would like to order a number of personalized cards from iPhoto, but I don't see a way of ordering them at the same time. It looks like they will all have to be separate orders. Is this the case or am I missing something? Otherwise, I pay more for shipping than I am for the card...in which case, I will just look elsewhere.
