Is there way for me to import my yahoo email contacts into my mail application that i set up for yahoo?

Yes I am using the in but app and set up using the yahoo option. I have moved the sliders to on for mail contacts calendar etc but I see nothing still. I have removed all other sources of contacts and still it's empty. Is there anyway to force a resync? Many thanks.

Having been without my Mac for a month I've been using iCloud mail.on a PC. The new mail boxes that I set up there do not automatically show up in Mail on my replacement Mac. Is there any way to transfer them from ICloud mail to Mail? Thanks.

sure pretty simple.  make a backup of your current settings
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766?viewlocale=en_US
then restore device from old backup you need pics off of
    then import pics to computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
you may need to save pics to camera roll first
then restore the new backup and sync pics back to phone via itunes

  • How can I import all my gmail contacts into iPad? I use iPad mini and the solutions available on the web are not compatible.

How can I import all my gmail contacts into iPad? I use iPad mini and the solutions available on the web are not compatible.

Hello and thanks for the answer.
I meant by "not compatible" that all the solutions that I found on the web did not work, especially the "Microsoft exchange" one.
Fortunately I found on the comments of the first website you mentioned the right answer for me, which I copy below:
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other > Add CardDav Account.
Enter the following information in the fields:
    Server: google.com
User Name: Enter your full Google email address
    Password: Your Google account password
Select Next at the top of the screen to complete the setup.
After you have completed the setup, open the Contacts app on your device. Syncing should begin automatically.
    Additional Information
Note: Make sure that SSL is enabled (under Advanced settings), and that the port is 443.
If you are using application based special password go to https://accounts.google.com/Se... and instead of your password put that special code and u r done.

  • Can I import tables, etc. created elsewhere into my mail messages?

Here's what I'd like to do. I want to create some simple lists in Numbers or Pages in the form of a table. I would then like to import that into the message body of a message in Mail. I've tried to cut and paste, but that just ends up with a jarbled mess. Any gurus out there know how to import iWork content into a Mail message? Thanks!

While your advice is well taken my current problem is a bit simple. I have 3  e mails that I would like to add to my Mail program on my computer. Getting them from gmail to mail is the issue. My gmail account is some years old and if I switch from POP to IMAP all the stuff I deleted from Mail will return as I never deleted it from Gmail. That is my actual dilemma as Gmail now holds thousands of emails.
3 emails? mail them to yourself, move them from the inbox to the sent box when they arrive

  • My iPhone 5c was stolen. I am using Find my iPhone to track it but it has said offline for 2 days now. Can I expect it to eventually show up on find my iPhone when the phone is turned back on, or are there ways for thieves to get around this?

I had my iPhone 5c stolen this Tuesday afternoon while I was at the beach. Immediately after I noticed it missing I called the phone and it was off. I called the phone continuously later that night but it remained off. I did not use the Find my iPhone app until the following morning, however.
The phone has said offline for 2 days now. I'm wondering...is it reasonable to assume that eventually the phone will get turned back on and I will get a location? Or do thieves have ways around this? I do have a passcode on my phone. Once the phone is turned on to the locked screen, is it connected to the internet?
I filed a police report but the police seem to be pretty disinterested in helping me recover my phone. I literally got this thing on Monday and had it stolen Tuesday the next day. I was so excited about my new phone so I realize now I was texting like a little girl out there and probably was an easy target. Never bringing anything of value to the beach again, thats for sure.

i m also put passcode in my iphone...but i dont know that how i know that my passcode is crack by someone???and same as police is not interested to find out it..
    i want ma iphone backkk...........

  • Is there a way for me to stop the iPad from automatically storing an email address I send mail to that is not in my contacts?

The iPad seems to automatically store email addresses for ease of use. But what if there are ever email addresses for privacy reasons that I do not want the device to remember? Can I stop the device from storing addresses that I do not specifically or manually store in my contacts list?

    No. Sorry.

  • Is there a way to delete individual contacts from the mail icon that i've replied to on itouch 4th

I've replied to several emails by way of my itouch 4th. Now I don't need those particular contacts anymore.  They don't show up in my yahoo mail which is what I've been using.  They are still in my contacts when I hit the write button on my touch.  Is there a way of deleting those individuals I replied to? I don't want to have to restore the touch. It's got too much stuff on it, I like.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

The only way is to restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.  I know that is not a desirable solution..

  • I am trying to find out how to quickly return to the latest email received in my "Mail" application.  When I am looking at an aged email and then want to return to my most current email, I have to scroll all the way back.  Surely, there is a better way.

I would love to find a short cut when I am in "Mail" and want to quickly return to my most current email.  I have tried "command-option-arrow", but it doesn't work?? ( I was given this suggestion at the local Apple store).  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks, Nick

They are actively working to improve the Apple Maps app.
It is extremely unlikely that you will get the Google Maps app back, as the built in app.  Google may release an app one day in the app store.
You can alos look for other Map apps in the app store.

  • Import time machine email backup into archive

I am in the process of switching my internet domains. And when I did this, I had to delete my email accounts on my old host. I stupidly thought that the old email would remain in my mac inbox when I switched. When I did so, because I am using imap, my inboxes cleared. Panic. Luckily for some of the more important ones, I have them on TimeMachine. I have been able to recover the V2 directory from a time before I made the switch and it looks like it has the emails. I understand that if I just copy those files over my existing V2 directory, the same thing will happen. When I went to try to import them the application did not work.
I am OK with moving them to an achive, I just want to recover them.
Is there a way to do this?
    TIA,

Inside the V2 folder are subfolders representing your Mail accounts. The names refer to the email addresses you use.
From the Mail menu bar, select
    File ▹ Import Mailboxes...
Import from the mailboxes in the restored folder. The imported messages will appear in a new mailbox. Move the ones you want to keep wherever you like and delete the rest.

  • Import pdf as rastered image into a c++ application

    Hi Everyone,
I am developing a commercial application which processes rastered images. Additionally to bitmap formats like BMP and TIFF the application has to be able to load and process PDF-files. The PDFs only contain one page.
To make it harder, some of the PDF-files don't even "look right" when they are opened with Adobe Reader or Acrobat. They will print correct but they will only be displayed correct if "Use Overprint Preview" is set to "Automatic" or "Always". For my application I also need to disable "Smooth Text for LCD" and "Enhance thin lines".
Now, I am trying to get rastered information into my applications memory.
I cannot use CAcroPDPage::CopyToClipboard as it will not work on 64 bit systems. Also I would prefer not to mess around with the clipboard.
With CAcroPDPage::DrawEx I have to render the PDF into my window. When I want to load a PDF at a high resolution, I have to scroll over the PDF and read the pixels from the screen which looks ridiculous. In fact, I don't want to show the unprocessed pdf at all. Also I could not find a way to enable "Use Overprint Preview" for DrawEx.
The third possibility would be to use Acrobat's Export as: PNG function from my application. Although I would prefer to be able to render only relevant parts of the PDF, It should be ok to save the PDF once, with a high resolution of 600 dpi or more. But when I tried this from Acrobat, antialiasing and "Use Overprint Preview"  were disabled. I could use this if it were possible to save with antialiasing and "Use Overprint Preview" enabled.
So my big question is: Is there a way to render a PDF to my application's memory?
It would be possible to require every user of our software to buy Acrobat if necessary.
    Thanks in advance,
    Michael

You want to license the Adobe PDFLibrary, which will give you full control over the rendering process.

  • Importing pc outlook express contacts into mail on new mac

    Hello,
I've been looking thru the support archives and can't find anything current on this issue (archived stuff is 2009). Is there any easy way to import your contact info from pc outlook express to mail 4.5 on a new macbook pro? I'm not sure which version the outlook express is, (it's my father-in-law's machine) he just made the switch to a mac. He is not very computer savy, hence the reason I am posting the question... I have looked at o2mac and was wondering if it can be done easily without purchasing an outside application... I have a brother-in-law who is working on the problem but he is soo pc oriented that he cannot find himself around the mac without thinking in pc-mode so I'm now trying to help (I'm AM a mac person...) but not outlook! He says that when he tries to import it comes in all gobbley-gooked (his words)....
    Any help appreciated!

Install Mozilla Thunderbird onto the PC.
    http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/
On the PC import whatever you need, mails, contacts from Outlook Express
From Thunderbird export contacts as LDIF. Copy the file over to your Mac and import it in Address Book.
