Is there way to point to KM repository outside the EP installation Folder

Hi,
Is there way to point to KM repository outside the EP installation Folder. BY default Ep gives defualt folder structure like
KM Content -> Root
under root we have many folders like
1. attachment
2. collaboration_sessions
3. discussiongroups
4. documents
Instead of built in struture , is there way to define my own repository structure which I will define in my windows system. From EP , I will point to this repositorty as starting point.
Is this possible .
or I would like go to the Ep's Built in folder .. say
"documents" ... from there instead of creating all the folder structure inside the documents folder .. I would like to create a link which will point to the my own folder strucure which is outside the Ep's default repository strcture.
Is this possible ?

You can map an already existing folder outside KM into KM by creating repository manager. If the external folder is having documents that also will be mapped.
1.Log on as an Admin user and choose System Administration @ System Configuration @ Knowledge Management @ Configuration @ Content Management @ Repository Managers.
2.To create a CM Repository Manager, choose CM Repository. You can copy (Duplicate) an existing CM Repository Manager or choose New.
3.Please see the KM Administration Guide for all properties and valid values for configuring a repository manager.Save your repository manager choose OK.
4.To ensure you repository manager has been created, go to Content Administration @ KM Content @ Repositories @ Root. You should now see your repository manager you created.

Premiere Pro CC's sequence lost. Is there a way to "search" for it from outside the project?

I seem to have lost a sequence created in Premiere Pro CC. I can't find it anywhere inside the Project bin.
We have so many same-name, older projects (between Auto-Save, different drives and so on) that looking inside each of them would take forever.
But we do know the name of the sequence. I am wondering if there is a way to "search" for a sequence name from outside the project?

sequences are only saved within the project file itself!!

Is there any way to enable SSH via Terminal in the OSX Installer utility list?

Hi guys, I've messed up my install a little on my internal HDD.. I can't boot into OSX as I keep getting kernel panics on boot. I was just wondering if there's any way I can SSH into my Mac Pro via the Terminal on the OSX Installer Utilities list.. I have a Macbook Pro to SSH from but I need a way to enable SSH via that Terminal "-bash-3.2#"..
I've tried to use the systemsetup -setremotelogin on command but I know SSH requires login keys and as I have no idea what can be used as those keys for the OSX Installer version of Terminal I have no idea how I can enable SSH..
Tried some sudo commands but as I guess it runs at a completely different level to sudo it won't actually recognise the sudo command..
Any help would be greatly appreciated guys, if you need me to post any info or results to help then just let me know.

If your Mac cannot boot to the OS X installation then you will not be able to set up the SSH (Remote Login) sharing service. The OS X installer does not support any of the system's sharing services. Technically it does have the sshd daemon (server process) that you can set up to accept a connection; however, this will not give you any additional benefit.
The only reason to SSH into the system would be to get to the Terminal command prompt anyway, which is available when you boot to the Recovery HD partition and choose Terminal from the Utilities menu. If you were to set up SSH and log in, you would still only have the functionality provided by the Terminal in the Utilities menu, and not have access to your Mac's full OS installation.

yea I am going to get some better fans, but as far as flow in the case it is full size and has ample room, I think that the side panel fan is just a bit weak. I'll get the case open and see what happens. Thanks for pointing me in a direction.

Hi! I am looking for some help with understanding more about the cookies.sqlite file. I use to add/remove cookies in bulk to the exceptions list when I used the cookies.txt file however now that I am unable to use a text pad to quickly paste the names of cookies, I am finding trying to modify my exception list has become quite tedious. I was wondering if I would be able to use another method to view/work with the list of cookies outside of the Firefox browser? Thank you in advance for your help!

You would need an SQLite manager program to open the cookies.sqlite file and inspect it.<br />
However exceptions are no longer stored in the cookies.sqlite database, but in one permissions.sqlite database file.
You can give it a first try with the SQLite Manager extension if you don't have one yourself yet.

I am looking for a way to highlight / color code the full file or folder name. Mavericks changed my color codes to small dots, worthless. Is there a way to access the "Creative Cloud Clipboard" repository outside Adobe Line/Sketch Apps?
For instance via (macbookpro) web, local directory (CC desktop), or mobile web? As opposed to Utilizing the feature purely in Adobe line/sketch?
I mean... I know i could just take screen shots... via the iPad's protocol. However, that would defeat the purpose of creative cloud.
The point of accessing the creative cloud clipboard, is so that I can create Time-Lapse .GIF's of my drawings, Using the "timeline" feature (undo)....which is amazing feature btw.
Honestly the solution for me... would be to have an option to export a .GIF (animated), .tiff sequence, or video file (m4a mov). I would say export options would be 1. File Size & Type (Context...) 2. Detail, # of Slides (How long is your timeline, what do you want to show, what level of detail?) 3. Share (Behance, Creative Cloud Files, MMS, iMessage, etc... 4. Open in... Photoshop, Aftereffects etc...
I think this would be great for..tutorials, multi-media, prototyping (wireframes, character design, etc). So, i'm not saying this should be a heavy set...focal point of the application, after all an animation app all itself would be nice. However, I think a feature like an "interactive timeline" would push users to be even more creative, by hacking, creating ghetto rigged *** backwards ways of prototyping that...actually might be more convenient. This is the story Adobe is trying to tell, the story of process, whats in your head... in the moment. Thats why behance is integrated, because process & feedback + exposure are essential to developing as a creative, so Adobe has put together a great platform...for its users. So, yeah...Adobe.. here's your chance to gain a greater insight into creative process, and integrate it directly into the creative cloud platform. I think it would be huge for Ink & Slide , Behance, and Student-Teacher / Designer- Company relationship.

First, to answer your initial question - no there is no way to access the clipboard content outside of the apps at this time.
The idea of exporting a timelapse is very interesting, and something we have been thinking about, but there are already some decent ways to do this. Check out this video of a drawing in Line created by Brian Yap Adobe Ink and Adobe Line Illustration - YouTube
You can create this kind of video using several of the available apps that let you display your iPad screen on your computer using Airple. Some examples are Reflector http://www.airsquirrels.com/reflector/ and AirServer http://www.airserver.com/

Is there a way to purge a runtime repository?

Is there a way to purge a Runtime Repository in OWB 9.2.0.2.8, in order to get rid of objects that no longer exists in the design repository?
We are getting into a situation where there seems to be quite a bit of inconsistency between the design repository and the runtime repositories. This seems to be caused by developers deleting objects from the design repository without first dropping them from the runtime repository.
The direct consequence of this is that we are getting "ora-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows" when trying to execute some process flows using the exec_template. There are no duplicate names in the design repository, but the same names have been used previously in packages that have now been deleted.
In my opinion there are two improvements that should be made to OWB:
1) You should not be able to delete objects that have been deployed without also dropping them from the runtime repositories
2) You should not be able to deploy process flows with the same name as a process flow used in another package, as this causes both flows to be unable to run from the exec_template.
I realize these changes won't be implemented over night. in the mean time I need a way to get rid of the duplicate process names from the runtime repository.

I understand your problem and we are working to solve it by our next major release. In the meantime, you can purge the the run-time repository through the Runtime Audit Browser if you log in as a QA engineer, but this will leave the already deployed objects in place.
To drop the deployed objects you could use the public views in the design repository and compare the objects present in these views with the objects present in your target schema. IT will be a manual process though...
I will not even suggest to create a new RT repository and schema because if you have a lot of data and users using it this might get pretty complex (and unelegant too).

That exclamation mark is displayed when iPhoto cannot link to the original file. First make sure you are running a "managed" library by checking iPhoto's Advanced preference pane to make sure the checkbox to copy files into the library during import is checked.

If it is checked you can try the following: make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I just installed CC 2014 and I'm currently removing the old CC programs (had no idea 2014 was coming out and now I have no room on my computer for both). My question is, how do I keep Windows 7 associating various files (.ai, .psd, etc) with the right program/icon set? Removing CC removes the file associations, it seems. Is there a way to point those files back to CC 2014 programs?

No, that doesn't work. The files have always opened using InDesign, but they don't have the .indd icon. I've thrown my hands up in frustration over this one. I have literally tried every trick posted around these forums, and I've looked for hours for a solution. It doesn't look like a fix is coming and Adobe doesn't really care that we can't tell our .ai files apart from our .indd files.

A little background info. I use Captivate 7 and currently have over 100 projects that I maintain on a quarterly basis. I publish using the SWF format and upload the swf/htm files to a server where they are then accessed from a few locations (within our online documentation, in our software product, on two different websites). Many of the projects are linked so some will be viewed as a series and others viewed as a standalone video. Each video uses the same template and includes an intro and end slide. Now my organization wants to implement a new intro to all videos (those I publish and those from several groups across the organization). My current intros provide overview material for the specific video so the new intro, which is an animation with audio in mp4 format, would need to be placed at the start of each project. The issue is, the intro adds 9 seconds to every video and in many cases doesn’t add any value (say, if a user accesses the video from within our product or views the videos as a series). I’ve talked it over with my boss and we want to try to add the intro only to videos accessed from site X, not any other location. So now to my question. Is there a way to play an external mp4 file (intro) only when the published project is accessed from a specific site, therefore eliminating the need to update each project? Maybe there's a way to add a parameter or variable to the URL or the html code?

I have a solution for you. You may have to modify the code a little bit based on how long the timeline animation is for your clock. I based mine on 3 seconds to complete a minute hand sweep around the clock.
Milliseconds for each point on the clock:
12 = 0
1 = 250
2 = 500
3 = 750
4 = 1000
5 = 1250
6 = 1500
7 = 1750
8 = 2000
9 = 2250
10 = 2500
11 = 2750
In the mouseover section for 12 o' clock, put this code...

When you point to the time, the setInterval method loops every 100th of a second and checks the current position of the timeline. When the timeline reaches the range between 0 and 50 milliseconds (almost impossible to hit 1 specific point), the timeline will stop at 0. Also, the clearInterval will be fired to stop the loop.
In the mouseout section, put this...
sym.play();
clearInterval(myVar);
It start the clock again, and it also clears the loop in case you mouseout before you reach the range.
Make sure that myVar is a global variable so you can clear it from the mouseout section.
Repeat this for each point on the clock. To avoid potential conflicts, you may want to use my12, my1, my2, etc. instead of myVar. I put the milliseconds at the top that you would use as the beginning of the range. 50 milliseconds should be enough to catch it. So, for 5 o' clock, you would make your range between 1250 and 1300.

I'm trying to repack Firefox 3.6.3 into a MSI for a deployment install trough-out our organization. Since we're using Explorer as the default browser at the moment our users have all their bookmarks and such stored in Explorer. Now I'm wondering..
Is there a way of getting Firefox to automaticly import the Explorer settings upon install?
-Without having the wizard popup.
I also don't want Firefox to be the default browser since the users have to decide for them self. But atleast they have there bookmarks / defaultpage and proxy settings if they decide to go for Firefox.

I'm not sure if you have the capability, but did you try copying from your premiere sequence and then pasting into your after fx timeline? i was working with a MUCH shorter video with a mix of merged clips (interview footage) and video clips (b-roll). the video clips imported, but the merged clips did not. i put the timeline cursor to the right point in the after fx timeline, copied the premiere clip from the sequence, pasted it into after fx.
