Is this a Authentic BT Email address? (Helpdesk Do...

Hi All,
On a weekly basis I get the standard BT Advertisement email, Whats coming on BT Sport, whats on BT TV, information about BT products.
At the start some of these went into my Spam folder, now they all come into my inbox, but some (not all) have the Words [SPAM] added into the subject line.
I've been onto the helpdesk, who as always can't quite grasp what i'm trying to ask.
All the emails are coming from the following address [email protected]
I must point out that at no point are my details asked for and the links are all authentic (I tested on a Blank test machine)
I've had this issue logged with the Helpdesk since November of last year and i've got all sorts of replies - it's you -  it's us -
I've sent dozens of screenshots of my inbox , i've had Go to assist sessions galore, each time they are no closer to answering the question -
1. is this email address genuine
2. If it is (and I believe it is!) Why is it adding the words spam to the subject lines on some occasions.
I've also sent them Message Source text from the emails and have pointed out a possible reason, but as always with the helpdesk (in my experience), they ignore any assistance the customer tries to give.
They are due to call tonight again - " A BT Mail expert" as the other two "Experts"  - one a yahoo mail one (I thought BT seperated from Yahoo??!!) didn't have a clue what i was trying to get at despite my demonstratins on the  Go to assist sessions.
So, Mods or other posters, can you tell me is the address above a real BT one?
Any Help, is greatly appreciated.
Mac.

1. Not everybody has been migrated to BTMail, some (myself included) are still on BTYahoo mail.
2. There is a configurable option in webmail for POPusers to download all mail included suspected spam but have the word 'SPAM' appended to enable client filtering.
3. BT's spam filters don't know their a*** from their elbow.

"Verify your account. This Apple ID's email address cannot be verified. Change your apple ids email address at appleid.apple.com to sig into i cloud"
My apple id has been alive and in use for years on iTunes etc. I have tried a different address and password and still get the same result
    Help???

If your email address is valid, just go to https://appleid.apple.com/, click "Manage your account" to the right, sign in, click  Name, ID, and Email Addresses to the left, then click "Verify now" next to your email address.  Apple will send you an email to this address with a verification link.  Otherwise add an alternate email address that can be verified.

  • I have a .mac email address, can i use this as a regular email address?

I have a .mac email address which i set up for ichat (ages ago) how can i use this as a regular email address in an email client? Is there SMTP/POP details?

With the introduction of iCloud, Apple has discontinued its "@mac.com" addresses support and has switched to Users using "@me.com" suffixes.  To utilize this you will need to setup an iCloud account with a new Apple ID. And Apple discontinued iChat and has switched to Messages.app, using Apple ID's.
    Hope this helps

I just upgraded to iOS 8. In iCloud I'm being prompted to check my email to verify this account. The email address they have at the top of my phone is wrong. I have it typed correctly everywhere else. Now what do I do?

See if you can manage your Apple ID and change the primary email account to the correct address, as explained here: Change your Apple ID.  Then verify the address.

  • When sending email messages from iPhone,iMac, or iPad, email address automatically added to my contacts list on iPhone.  How do I trace this down and stop this auto addition of email addresses to my contacts list?

I am not sure what generates the email address as a contact, be it the iPhone or iMac.  I use iCloud to sync up my contacts/address book.  This appears to happen when I am using Mac Mail on my iMac,  but I have no clue where to begin to look to stop this auto addition.  I have looked in Mail preferences on my iMac and in my iPhone settings, but have found nothing that "automatically add email address to contacts list".
Can anyone provide guidance?  Web search has been fruitless ( I am guessing I am not using the right key words for my search).

    Hey jpoolewarren!
You can delete contacts by following the instructions in this link:
Contacts at a glance - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/7/#/iph3e0ca2db
Delete a contact.  Go to the contact’s card, then tap Edit. Scroll down, then tap Delete Contact.

  • Unhappy long term good paying CUSTOMER this is the wrong email address

We have had home telephone service for with Att (Southwestern Bell) for 30 plus years always paid on time, at&t for some time was trying to get us to change from standard phone service to uverse phone service, finally talked us onto trying it. Mistake it was indeed. First setup was poor quality line constantly had static callers could hardly here us only noise, several calls to customer service and technicians came and tried repairing this went on for couple years, few times tech's leaving late into the evening and no phone or internet service at all. Know when power goes out we have mo phone service to call power company att says we have to buy a battery for some backup. Never had yo before the battery they left is this big battery that is about as big as the modem itself. And the lady at att said it wasn't their battery, then why did their service tech leave it here. Att customer service is horrible. Our internet and phone service will be no more with Att. All over mot being able to make a call when the power us out thats never been a problem in the past, and we will not be buying some battery that is supposed to be included in the service.

This is starting to be a bad experience, unable to change email address att is not customer friendly.

  • Only since I started using Firefox, Hotmail has now 2 different senders for my e-mails, me and this new unknown : " **** ", that it insists on choosing as the sender , instead of me, and then gives me this message : invalid sender email address ... ??????

I did not have any problems at all before I started using Firefox ( great !!! ) , that's why I assume it may be Microsoft making it hard for " other than IE users " to use Hotmail, as similar events have been proven true in the past, regarding Microsoft and its monopolistic policies , or is it a true technical incompability ???

I moved the file formhistory.sqlite to another file folder. I then started Firefox up again to see if it worked or if I needed to start it in Safe Mode. No need for Safe Mode. It now works exactly as it should. Thank you so much!!

  • IMessage verify error, says unable to verify because email address already in use,how do you fix this? IOS 5

As header says how do you fix this?

I had two Apple accounts prior to iCloud's debut along with a separate MobileMe account. I'm not sure how things were set up prior, but now with iCloud, I just realised that I can log in to apple.com with my former MobileMe email address. So now I have three Apple accounts.
I use my former MobileMe email address to log in to iMessage. If you don't do this, when you try to use the temporary location sharing feature of Find My Friends, you'll get some kind of error message regarding this.
The additional email address I wanted to add to iMessage was used as the primary Apple ID for one of my other Apple accounts and as a secondary address in the other. I had to resolve both of these issues before I could use this email address as a secondary address with iMessage. For the former, I had to use a different email address for the primary Apple ID while for the latter, I had to simply remove the email address as a secondary address in the account.
You can manage all your Apple accounts at https://appleid.apple.com. Hope this helps.

  • Domain.local proxyAddress and Email Address Policies!

    Hi,
I have inherited an Exchange 2007 organization.
The organization has several public domains (Different departments require different domains) with one overarching domain.
The default Email Address Policy is the only email address policy set up which has the following:
    [email protected] (PRIMARY)
    [email protected]
Therefore all users are getting these two addresses. For the users who require another domain email address Helpdesk staff are going into their accounts in EMC and manually adding the email address required and setting it to primary (Leaving the
Automatically update email address based on recipient policy ticked...)
I have a few issues here:
Issue 1: Office 365 DirSync Readiness Check is complaining that I have proxyAddresses that are not publically routable (domain.local). How do I go about resolving this? Does editing a Email Address Policy cause everything to be re-evaluated? I am thinking
I could go in and remove the domain.local entry (I am assuming it is not needed?) but then would simply applying it cause issues?
Issue 2: I am assuming if I/or anyone were to re-apply the Email Address Policy it would set all users primary smtp address to
[email protected] It would not delete the extra email addresses manually added as it is only an additive function?
Issue 3: Is there a dynamic way of dealing with the situation of users who require the different email addresses? I am aware I could create several Email Address Policies which would work if a new user were to be created with matching criteria, but how would
I design this so that if a user moves from one department to another their email address policy would be re-evaluated and the new address would be added and set as primary? Can I use OU or an attribute etc.?
    Any help would be appreciated...

    Hi,
Here are my answers you can refer to:
    1. As far as I know, the name domain.local cannot be published externally by any CA. Then I recommend you create a accepted domain for example domain.com and a related Email Address policy.
    2. We can add multiple email addresses for one mailbox and set one email address as the primary address.
    3. Based on my knowledge, we can manually select the primary email address.

  • How can I change the return email address in Mail?

    Hi
Having just switched to a Mac and just got broadband I was quite pleased with myself managing to download an email into Mail....
However, we use a forwarding email address at bigfoot.com so that we can always quote the same email address whatever our ISP given address. How can I make this the default return email address on emails I send, rather than the [email protected] that we have been assigned?
    Thanks in advance

MacBook (Intel)   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    Hi Stuart.
Open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal, type the following command (you can just copy it here, paste in a text editor, modify the email address, then copy the whole command again, and paste in Terminal), and press <Return>:
    defaults write com.apple.mail UserHeaders '{"Reply-To" = "[email protected]";}'
The following article contains a more thorough description of this technique that takes into consideration the possibility that you might inadvertently overwrite other default headers by doing that:
